good morning. we start with the fbi and police scrambling to find a man who shot someone point-blank while uploading the video on facebook. police say steve stephens is armed and dangerous. ohio authorities are asking residents of pennsylvania, new york, and michigan to be on high alert. nbc has more on this. >> hopefully i'm going to try to kill as many people as i can. >> in cleveland, a citywide manhunt. police are looking for steve stephens. he's described as armed and dangerous. he posted a manifesto before a homicide. either out and tells a man on the street he's about to die because of a woman. a handgun in view, a shot is heard and the victim is laying in blood. >> shocking. it's a killer trying to show his power. >> citizens are told to be on

the koreas. they had tough words saying era of strategic patience is over. incredible resolve on the part of the u.s. and allies and all options on the table including military options. the visit to the dmz had personal significant to the vice president. it's a legacy of a war that his father fought in some 60 years ago. he posted a message to twitter saying the visit for him was very meaningful. the entire trip has incredible significance after that failed missile test by north korea over the weekend. that came just hours after that massive military parade through pyongyang. there is the sense that with the pressure mounting, there will be more leaning on china to try to rein in pyongyang, to try to have both sides back down. the risk right now is that the north will move ahead with another test or there could be

some miscalculation and that one small mistake could have terrible consequences. yasmin. >> certainly all eyes in the coming days. thank you. back here in the united states the president has remained silent on north korea while lark out against nation wide protesters who demanded to see his tax returns and flip flopping on his previous charges against china. nbc's kelly o'donnell has more on that. >> reporter: no comment is not the president's usual approach but his silence on north korea's failed launch is to deprive kim jong-un of attention. >> what he's able to convey is north korea is no longer an asset. north korea is a liability. >> reporter: the presidential motorcade rolled along the ocean's edge to a palm beach church where the trumps celebrated easter services.

after a surprising 40-hour break from twitter the president unleashed a spring storm of five tweets. he explained had his shift on china. why would i call china a currency manipulator when they're working with us on the north korean problem. senator john mccain said the president is right to lean on china. >> china can shut them down. and whether they're currency manipulators or not, we should expect them to act to prevent what could be a cataclysmic event. >> reporter: in a more defensive mood, the president linked his victory to his refusal to release his tax returns. i did what was almost an impossible thing to do for a republican, easily won the electoral college. now tax returns are brought up again. >> every other president has shown their tax returns and i think there's something in it he wants to hide. >> reporter: his irritation evident after saturday's nationwide protest called the tax march. someone should look into who paid for the small organized rallies yesterday. the election is over. later this morning the trump white house will experience one

of the biggest logistical operations of tenure, the annual easter egg roll. with tens of thousands of families attending, it is expected to be a big challenge for the first lady and her office of small staff after reports of stumbles in planning. for the first time in 14 months, the highest court in the land will have a full bench. president trump's pick, conservative neil gorsuch joining his colleagues just serve days since he took the oath of office at the white house. we are join by nbc's tracey pots. how will the judge impact these upcoming cases? >> reporter: he tips the balance back to a 5-4 conservative majority, back to that conservative majority. so that will be interesting to see how it weighs in on some of the cases he will begin hearing this week, like the missouri case that's coming up on wednesday. this is a religious school that applied for state funds to upgrade safety on their

playground. that's what those funds are set aside for. but they were denied solely because the school was affiliated with the church. they said that's religious discrimination making them jump through extra hoops to get what other schools are getting to make their playground safe. the state says tax dollars cannot go to anything that supports a church. here it comes to the u.s. supreme court for the nine justices including justice gorsuch to decide after they hear the arguments on wednesday. also coming up, a case about whether or not wedding vendors have to give services to same-sex couples or whether they can decline based on religious beliefs. both of those cases to test what we have seen in the past. judge gorsuch tending to lean towards religious freedom in some of these cases when he was on the appeals court. >> could be some pretty monumental decisions setting the stage for supreme court moving forward. tracie potts for us. thank you. all right. images of the united airlines passenger being dragged off his

flight are fresh in people's mind. now a man and his fiancee kicked off a flight to their own wedding. from houston to costa rica. they sat down and were approached by crew members and told they were in the wrong seats, moved to correct seats. before takeoff they were removed from the plane missing their nuptials. they attempted to sit in upgraded seating which they did not purchase and would not follow instruction toss return to their assigned seats. they were asked to leave the plane by our staff and complied. we offered them discounted hotel rate for last evening and rebooked them on a flight this morning. let's hope they are still getting married. all right. as warmer temperatures kick in, so does extreme weather. storm catchers captured this tornado making its way across eastern nebraska south of omaha. north neal no damage reported.

that is incredible to see. want to head to bonnie schneider with wet weather that could see travel delays. >> northern california, cloud coverage and rain north of san francisco. that's working to eureka. that could be tricky as we continue to work through the first part of the week. widespread rain and snow showers at the higher elevations and another system will also bring about this unsettled weather pattern as we go towards wednesday. speaking of unsettled, it's stormy in texas, oklahoma and parts of arkansas. even flash flooding in parts of missouri but a lot of overcast and wet towards eureka and crescent city where highs will be in the mid to upper 50s. the storms in texas will work

at the vatican tens of thousands of faithful packed in for easter sunday match. the pope used his message to denounce oppressive regions and urge leaders to stop the spread of conflict around the world. in the news this morning turkey's president won a national referendum sunday giving him sweeping new powers. pretty controversial stuff. speaking of supporters, president erdogan won a historic victory. replace with executive presidency and could leave erdogan in power until the year 2029 with few checks and balances. opposing parties say they are skeptical of the narrow 51% victory. they will challenge two-thirds of the votes for possible manipulation. some residents living along u.s./mexico border are worried prfrz proposed wall could leave them on the mexican side.

even though they sit on u.s. soil, it's unclear where the wall would be built. some of the existing fencing is up to a mile north of the actual border. some landowners say they are prepared for a legal battle. one lawyer for the texas civil rights battle tells nbc he hopes court battles could tie up long enough for lawmakers to find a way to stop the wall all together. today is your last full day before turning in those dreaded tax returns tomorrow. take a guess as to which state sends the most tax toss washington. here is a big hint. it's actually not even a state. that's right. district of columbia comes highest when sending money to uncle sam according to ap. $37,000 per person in federal income, payroll and estate taxes just like year the runner up, delaware at $16,000 per person. d.c. is ranked so high due to the large number of high-in co-earners packed into that city compared to other states who see a diversity of incomes throughout.

delta ups the ante. landon dowdy updating us with the details. >> good morning. wall street could start on a positive note as we come back from the holiday weekend. europe closed for easter monday and asia mixed overnight as investors monitor tensions in the korean peninsula, an update on housing and manufacturing. earnings season gets under way with several big names reporting including united airlines this morning. united might have had a bad pr week but business has been good. recently touted improvements in key areas such as on time performance. investors will listen to comments whether bookings have dropped in the wake of last week's incident. delta may be taking another shot at its rival. the airline has given employees permission to offer passengers up to nearly $10,000 to give up their seats on overbooked flights. a company memo obtained by ap shows gate agents can offer

the latest installment of the "fast & furious" shattered records this weekend. it raked in a whopping $532 million worldwide. that's a new global box office record beating out "star wars" "the force awakens." they brought in over $100 million in u.s. and canada alone. it is the second biggest domestic debut this year behind "beauty and the beast." all right. bonnie schneider joining me right now. resilience of this community. now to a discovery in london that we're just learning about this easter holiday. it's at the site of a historic church. a secret underground tomb locked away for centuries and found by accident. sounds like something out of a movie, right? nbc's matt bradley tells us exactly what is inside. >> this easter, a resurrection of a different kind a london museum announced a discovery of near biblical proportions. a secret crypt hiding remains of five archbishops, anglican church leaders dating back more than 400 years. builders discovered the tomb during renovations a year ago. >> i came over sounds like bad news, problem. wow, it's the crime, miter of archbishop. >> among them richard bancroft, early 17th century archbishop famous for translating the bible into english. in all some 30 corpses buried in
