"today in the bay" continues right now. good morning and thanks for joining us, i'm kris sanchez in for laura garcia-cannon. >> and i'm sam brock. it is thursday morning. i don't know about you, but i'm excited about kari's weekend forecast. >> yeah, it looks really good, and temperatures will be very warm, too. we're also looking at some dry weather, so as you step out the door right now, you see the roads are wet, there may be puddles on the sidewalk, but look at the sky, it's all clearing out and the temperature trend throughout the day will be warming up into the upper 60s, even some low 70s around the south bay. we'll look ahead to the weekend forecast coming up. as we head over to vianey right now, you're tracking a few

slowdowns on the roadways. >> yeah, we're seeing a couple. thankfully, as the rain moves out, we definitely start seeing better conditions on the road, at least for commuters. chp is still reporting slowing thanks to the crash along northbound 87. it appears right now it may have just been a fender bender and they are looking to clear the lane. they should have that cleared out within the next couple of minutes, because they do have a closed incident, so hopefully we start seeing that backup recovering over the next 20 minutes or sooner. 6:01 right now and it looks like northbound 101 to highway 85 about a 22-minute delay. northbound 280 to highway 85 seven minutes and northbound 101 to san jose about 20 minutes. not too bad. here's a quick shot of san rafael. we are definitely seeing a lot more computers out there, but it is 6:00 a.m. this is around the time i'm heading out if i'm not at work. >> totally, we're glad that you're here. it is 6:01 now and anyone driving into work this morning

knows you're going to have to hold on to your steering wheel because the roads have taken a beating. new this morning, today in the bay uncovered new numbers revealing how much all of those potholes are costing you, the taxpayer. >> today in the bay's bob redell has been crunching the numbers for us all week long. he joins us live from danville with a story only on "today in the bay." bob, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you, sam and kris. we reached out to the public works department in five major counties and saw four saw significant increases in the amount of tax money they are spending to fix potholes caused by this winter's heavy rain. keep in mind, this does not include money spent by caltrans or cities, just the counties. here in contra costa county, the public works department here tells us they spent around $124,000 fixing potholes in the first quarter of this year.

that's close to 33% increase over the amount spent last year during the same time period. next door, alameda county saw the greatest percentage increase in spending. their public works agency tells us they spent close to $144,000 in q1. that's up more than 50% increase over last year. san francisco city and county public works spent the most amount of money. cost almost $760,000. that's about a 35% increase over spending from the same period last year, and the santa clara county roads and airports department, they spent around $218,000 to fix potholes this winter. that's almost a 23% increase. san mateo county public works department tells us their potholes expenses didn't change much from last year. potholes took a back seat to mudslides on the roads. various tire shops are way too familiar with the pothole problem. tire merchant in san jose says they see a regular flow of

drivers coming in with cracked rims and busted tires. >> you know, it's kind of good for us, but it's too bad for the customer, because they have to spend a lot of money to replace the wheel, to get it repaired, stuff like that. we should have the streets a little bit better, but, you know. >> reporter: the state says what you can do is raise gas taxes. legislators in sacramento just approved governor jerry brown's plan to raise the gas tax by 12 cents a gallon. that, along with a new vehicle fee, will raise $5 billion a year to fix california's crumbling bridges and roads. reporting live in danville, bob redell, "today in the bay." >> thank you very much. the search is on for a violent burglar who shot a man inside of his own home in the oakland hills. this happened about 6:00 last night on chimney rock right off skyline boulevard and near the sequoia country club. neighbors say the bglar got

into at least two other homes, as well, before breaking into the house of a 30-year-old man in the kitchen at the time with his headphones on. a relative said he was shot in the chest and he is expected to survive. >> he was able to call the police saying he had been shot. >> i feel crappy, i feel bad for him, but sounds like he's doing okay, his mom is doing okay, that's the most important thing. nice neighbors, nice neighborhood, we have a jerk who was in this neighborhood. >> everybody pulling together there. police did search the area, they never found the gunman. happening right now in contra costa county, sheriff deputies are looking for more potential victims in a child molestation case. deputies say he was arrested in richmond last year accused of child molestation. now they think there could be more victims where yancey lived. 6:05 now, police are searching for this young woman, a missing mountain view teenager this morning. 13-year-old myra renteria was seen last as she was leaving

crittenden middle school yesterday. police say she's considered at risk because of her age. she is 5'1", has brown hair and brown eyes. the picture is on our social media platforms if you want to share it. also, you may get a knock on the door if you live on the peninsula, more than 300 certified volunteers, members of the search teams, will visit 20,000 homes to hand out public health information at san mateo county. first responders have their own earthquake preparedness. the exercise is called silver dragon. you're looking at video from a previous training effort. the responders will practice dispatching search, emergency response teams into neighborhoods. we spoke with a doctor with the san mateo county health system. >> very important. as we know, that in this area, an earthquake is imminent, right? and so we want to make sure that the search members are prepared and we exercise this on an annual basis, so they know that

if something happens, they know exactly what they need to do. >> the exercise will run from 9:00 this morning until noon. now's your chance at 6:07, people leaving near the san carlos airport can make complaints heard today. there's an open house 6:00 tonight at the hiller aviation museum off 101 there. officials are discussing an upcoming federal noise study about that area. right now, we are waiting for investigators to identify the person whose body was found near the area where a boat capsized in the north bay. that ten-foot boat was found in the waters yesterday. crews found there also an ice chest with fish and a wallet. they say that a 64-year-old oakland man was on the boat when it capsized. 6:07 now and happening today, being ready for the flooding. officials will go over their risk reduction project. the recent wet weather has brought creek levels close to overflowing once again.

the plan is to divert and store the water in a temporary basin and then remove a building obstructing the creek's flow. the session starts at 7:00. it is 6:08. with some kids out of school this week for spring break, maybe you and the family plan on heading to some of the hiking trails on the peninsula. well, it will be foggy to start and we'll get some clearing, but the temperatures will be in the mid 50s by 10:00 and even during the afternoon we will stay in the upper 50s with some breezy winds, as it will be cool along the coastline. the inland areas will be warming up. we are going to also deal with a moderate amount of tree, pollen, grass pollen. weeds and mold are fairly low at this point, but don't forget to bring the allergy medication along just in case. into the weekend, more sunshine and weather. i'll talk about that coming up. tracking some of the slowdowns maybe in the usual spots as of now. >> it looks like it right now. as of now it looks like there is

upper 60s today with mostly sunny skies. it will warm up significantly tomorrow. we'll talk about the temperature jump and what it looks like for the weekend coming up in five minutes. and we've seen heavy traffic along the bay bridge. lights are clearly on and look at all that backup. we're seeing about a 22-minute delay from westbound 80 towards the bay bridge, so make sure to head out now and get that coffee to go. all right. big night tonight for hockey fans happening this evening, the san jose sharks facing what many are calling a make or break moment against edmonton. it's game five tonight in alberta and the series is knotted up two games apiece right now, the sharks coming off a seven goal performance in game four. if they can win this one, they'll take a 3-2 series led headed back to the shark tank on saturday. you can watch the game tonight at 7:30 on nbc sports california. >> oh, my god.

>> new this morning, this story about as nutty as you can get. the video you see, car crashed into a big rig, but then was dragged down a southern california freeway. another driver capturing the scene because it's just unbelievable otherwise. it happened on interstate 15 on the cajon pass. the truck driver appears to be oblivious until the driver filming it manages to get his attention. >> the guy's under your car. >> i didn't know it. >> what do you mean you didn't know it, dude? he's on your truck! >> the craziest part, though, the truck was dragged for four miles and fortunately the driver was not hurt. sam, you were just looking over the driver handbook. how often are you supposed to look in your side mirror? >> i would imagine couple seconds, also a section if there's a car on the side of your truck, stop, stop what you're doing. amazing there. it is official, fox news

channel has dumped bill o'reilly. >> scott mcgrew, the change comes as the popular host lost advertising. >> we've known for some time and fox news has known that women had accused the popular host of harassment. but then a "new york times" article revealed there were more accusations than anybody realized, and that's when advertisers started to drop out from the show. then fox news says it was dismissing the host and replacing him with tucker carlson. "the o'reilly factor" was fax news' most popular show, in fact, the most popular show on cable. "after thorough and careful review of the allegations, the company and bill o'reilly have agreed that bill o'reilly will not be returning to the fox news channel." o'reilly had his own statement. "it's tremendously disheartening that we part ways due to completely unfounded claims, but that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today." other news, senate majority

leader mitch mcconnell will be in the bay area today, along with other top republicans, for a fundraiser at the home of oracle founder larry ellison. current ceo is a close adviser to president trump. a research group called tourism economics says tourism into the united states has fallen 7% since president trump became president. the head of homeland security said europeans, british, french, might have to apply for visas to visit. the tourism board estimates the lack of tourists costs 107,000 jobs. that's more than the coal industry. >> a new version of the green card, they are more secure, there's a photograph on the back, as well, and other anticounterfeiting measures. old cards are still valid. you'll be issued a new one when your old one expires. good news this morning about rent in the bay area. it fell about 1% in san jose

over the past year. and the median $451,000 on the home, as well. so rent was up 9% last year. it appears to be down about 1% this year. and again, a lot of people -- you know people considering leaving the bay area because of the high costs. >> yeah. >> i'm considering leaving because it's turned out to be south seattle because it's always raining. >> don't leave yet. we would miss you terribly. new this morning, an american astronaut is arriving at the international space station. nasa's jack fischer lifted off from kazakhstan with a russian cosmonaut. the two are expected to dock at the international space station right around now. they are joining a three-person crew under the command of peggy wittson, the oldest woman in space. we have been getting pretty

amazing images from space of what the blooming looks like around california. scott called it, i think, south seattle. >> it's going to be dry today. none of the mist and dreary weather we've had at times this week. right now it's 52 degrees in the tri-valley and 55 in the peninsula and the south bay. you'll still see some puddles and wet roads. we have a damp start, but look at the skies overhead as the sun rises, it is all clear and as we head through the day, going to see lots of sunshine and warming temperatures into the upper 60s to low 70s, and as the seven-day forecast comes up at the bottom of the screen, we start in the south bay and look how the temperatures warm up between today and tomorrow and come back down on saturday. so that's what we are in for with some more clear skies and great weather for this evening as we head out to the oakland coliseum at 7:00. we'll be at 64 degrees and then as we go through the game, it

does get a little cooler, so make sure you're wearing some long sleeves and something nice and warm to enjoy the game. it will be a little breezy, too. we had this weather system that brought us showers earlier this morning, most of the bay area measured anywhere from a tenth to a quarter inch of rain and there were some pockets of some heavier downpours moving through the tri-valley. as that moves off towards the east, we'll be left with some dry weather for the next couple of days. look at saturday, it will be cloudy, but won't be wet weather moving in. as we head through sunday, we'll get some sunshine and then as we hope up the picture into early next week, going to see some more rain moving in. that's what scott was talking about, that dreary weather. we're not completely done with that rain just yet. we'll see it returning tuesday afternoon, into wednesday. in san francisco, our temperatures hold steady in the upper 60s for the next few days. inland areas go up from 70s today to 79 tomorrow, back down to 72 and 68 degrees on sunday.

vianey, you're tracking what's happening as far as the commute on your wave app. >> that's right. and it is thursday and every day there has to be some type of traffic, right? right now our speed sensors showing slowing along 880 and our app is already picking that up thanks to our app. we're able to see what you see on the roads. any time you're heading out, especially if you have a passenger in the vehicle, because it does allow you to input data. we take a look right now at the app, we can still see we have alternate routes. it gives you route one, two, three, and with that slowing from 880, you can also see that there is a crash along westbound 80 and that's where the stalled vehicle was earlier today. and i'm hoping that they clear that out nicely, because i've been in that position before with a stalled out vehicle and it's never fun to be the person with the stalled out vehicle. i'll send things back to you. >> we forgive you. >> i'm sure you smile and get the help you need. thank you very much. preventing major debt. coming up next after the break, two and a half minutes, the

calculated in the future. the most notable of which involves something called trended data, which means it's going to take into account the direction of the borrower's debt on a monthly basis. someone paying down debt is likely to score better than someone making monthly payments regularly, but slowly accumulating credit card debt. the goal is to identify warning signs long before you get into major trouble. 6:24 now. a massive study wants to map out human health. it's called project baseline. a life science firm owned by google is launching the study with duke university and stanford medicine. it wants to enroll 10,000 people from different backgrounds in california and north carolina and then track their health. this includes people who are in good health and also people who are at high risk with series diseases. this morning nbc bay area respond it is to a family who couldn't get a refund, even though they were promised one. >> consumer investigator is here

with the results. >> jeanne and tony woo brought furniture from the ashley furniture store in fremont back in 2011. they also paid $79 for a five-year peace of mind protection plan. the woos say they were promised a refund if they didn't have to use the plan, and, well, they didn't. so after five years they went to ask for their money back, but the store had closed. so, the woos say they went to another store and ashley corporate offices looking for help to get their refund. but they didn't get anywhere. so they reached out to us. we contacted ashley's corporate office and it issued the woos a $79 store credit. now, what made this situation a little bit tricky is most ashley furniture stores are independently owned and operated, so if a store shuts down, you really don't have much recourse, but in this case the corporate office stepped up to help out. in a statement, ashley's corporate office said that customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance.

low clouds and fog in some parts of the bay, including the tri-valley. as we go through the day, going to see high temperatures throughout the south bay, going to be really nice and even low 70s in the north bay. san francisco today will see a high of 64 degrees. we'll talk about what you'll see through the weekend and some events going on. that's coming up in eight minutes. vianey is tracking right now how it looks as you head out on the roadways. >> as you mention, it's important to look out for puddles, because a lot of time you don't see the standing water along the edges and you start running into spinouts out there. right now taking an overall look at the map, we have the back up along the westbound 80 and if we kind of zoom in, chp is reporting what looks like a fender bender before mission boulevard, but it looks like there may be some debris on the roads and that, of course, can start causing backups. they are on their way to clear that out nicely. so far right now, eastbound drive times, a little delay. southbound 680 around 15 minutes. 238 to 80 about two minutes and

southbound 880 we're seeing a couple trouble spots. 23-minute delays to highway 84. so please be safe out there. >> thank you, vianey. happening today, san francisco's famous and some might say infamous 4/20 celebration kicking off once again in golden gate park. tens of thousands of people are expected to show up today for the unofficial marijuana holiday. >> that's where we find pete live this morning with the new rules that are in place this morning, so make sure everyone is safe and perhaps more importantly, everyone's reaction to those rules. pete? >> reporter: good morning to you, kris and sam. yes, plenty of changes this year for the event in golden gate park, and this unsanctioned event has proved to be very costly for the city, costing upwards of $100,000 to clean up with the event. this year they are teaming up a private sponsor, as well as additional resources, such as the fencing behind me here this

morning. let's talk about the changes, they include an increased police presence, as well as the addition of medical personnel, adult-only admission, and also portable trash bins and toilets. i want to point that out, because last year crews had to clean up 20,000 pounds of garbage from golden gate park that was left behind following that 4/20 event. also this time around vendors will be permitted, so there will be zero tolerance for those not permitted. that annual event brings anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 people to hippie hill in golden gate park and san francisco's supervisor explained this year's strategy to help provide more resources. >> we can't stop everybody from smoking pot. i mean, technically, smoking in the park is illegal, but we realize that, you know, this event, as i said, is going to happen. >> reporter: i want to point out this is not a city sponsored event and as you heard, it is

illegal to smoke pot in the park, but it's clear the city believes this is the best way to handle the event, and at this time p.d. does not have any road closures, but we can expect to see big crowds heading towards golden gate park. live in san francisco, pete suratos for "today in the bay." >> of course, we'll be covering this story all day long. new this morning at 6:33, police are trying to figure out if anything was hit when someone fired a gun last night in downtown concord. it happened around 10:00 in the evening at grant and pacheco street. we can tell you that no one was hurt. all police would tell us last night is that a shot or a series of shots were fired. we are still working to get an update from concord police, though, this morning. while there is still some hope this morning, developing story now, search and rescue crews continuing to scour the area near the truckee-tahoe airport, although the chance is fading right now for finding a north bay couple whose plane had

vanished. brenda and mark richard of santa rosa flew out of the truckee airport bound for petaluma but have not been heard from since. the search for their plane is focusing right now on the rugged area northwest of the truckee airport. brenda was at the controls of the plane, who neighbors say has been flying for years. >> did she say why she wanted the pilots license? >> i think it was a bucket list item. >> really? >> yeah, we all have our bucket list. >> it's a shock. absolute shock. if something has happened to them. >> well, neighbors say that the richards are both parents and grandparents. 6:34 now, and we're learning new information about the shooting rampage in fresno. the gun used in that killing spree is missing. police now say cory mohammed admitted shooting and killing three people tuesday, as well as another man last week at a motel 6.

detectives are now looking for another man, though, who picked that gun up at the scene of the shooting. surveillance cameras show him placing the gun in a box and then running away. >> kris, lawyers for former patriots player aaron hernandez now calling for a full investigation into his death. as we reported yesterday morning, he was found dead inside of his maximum security prison cell early wednesday morning. prison officials are saying it's a suicide, but aaron's defense attorney is challenging that idea. a boston injury recently cleared hernandez in a double murder case that stemmed from 2012 and his lawyer said they were preparing to appeal his life sentence. >> very hard for me to accept the fact that he may have committed suicide. >> and there is one more twist in this case, as well. in massachusetts, if someone dies before their appeals are exhausted, their case reverts to its original status, which means hernandez's murder conviction will almost certainly be expunged. happening today, foster city

educators will protest for better salaries. it happens at the san mateo foster city school district offices later today. they don't think their salaries are enough for them to live in san mateo county, so they are seeking a new three-year contract. right now, though, talks with the district have stalled. protesters plan to meet up at 5:30 this evening, just before the school board meeting. and members of nearly 200 nonprofit groups will gather in the east bay this morning in an effort to fight federal immigration policy. the group first five focuses on the first five years of a child's development, you likely have heard of them, and they are hosting a forum at 9:00 this morning in concord. it is going to happen at the crowne plaza hotel and the meeting will focus on shielding families with immigrant parents from trump administration policies and also easing the stress for children of immigrant parents. and it is 6:36, and as roadways begin to dry out, you start seeing much better driving conditions, but right now taking

an overall look at our traffic maps, we are seeing the speed sensors picking up slowing along southbound 880. there was a crash reported earlier today, it appears it may be recovering from that. quick check of the east bay dri drive times right now. a quick check of your bridge drive times right now, westbound 580 richmond bridge about 12 minutes, bay bridge about 19 minutes and bay bridge about 16 minutes. mass transit right now, no major delays, which is great, because i know it's thursday, although i am pretty ready for the weekend. back to you. well, if you're grinning your commute, you must be looking forward to the weekend. we are just one day away from friday. >> you are both speaking out on behalf of everybody right now. kari hall joining us with the weekend forecast. >> we like to refer to today as friday eve and the weather will be awesome this weekend.

looking at the valleys and inland areas at 9:00, making your plans and what you're going to do for the day, it will be 60 degrees and making it into the low 70s for today, low and breezy weather and more of the same on sunday. we'll bring those temperatures down just a couple degrees for the afternoon, but it will still be very comfortable and dry weather continues with 64 at 7:00. we have so many events going on surrounding earth day and also the parks and the creeks will be cleaned up in many areas, including in oakland. a lot of those great volunteers heading out there to pick up the trash and clean up everything in time for spring as our temperatures will be in the upper 60s. make sure you bring lots of water and the sun block, too. hitting some of the hiking trails, some of the national parks will be free this weekend and at muir woods in the north bay, highs in the low 70s there, so the temperature trend going up, even though it will be cool to start, and i've been so pumped about this event, the

autism speaks walk on saturday. i'll be there emceeing. it's at 9:00 on -- in san jose at history park and it will be 60 degrees to start out in the morning, but look at how those temperatures jump for the next couple of hours after that. so we'll be celebrating with all the sunshine and if you're hitting the road, heading farther to the north, it will be in the upper 70s tomorrow. mostly sunny skies and low 70s for the rest of the weekend. if you want to spend it in napa valley, the warmest day will be tomorrow up to 78 degrees there, too, and on saturday, 71. sunday it will be 72 degrees. a great weekend ahead and if you're planning to head to the beach, going to santa barbara, also warm along the coast up to 78 there. 75 degrees on saturday, and 77 on sunday. we have an awesome weekend ahead. we'll talk more about that coming up in a few minutes. kris? >> all right, thank you, kari. potholes seem worse than ever, especially after the rain

(vianey ad libs) we have clearing skies now as we take a live look outside at san jose. rain rolled through here earlier this morning. we have nothing but sunshine in the forecast for today. going to see our highs reaching low 70s, very comfortable, especially this afternoon, as you head out and about, some kids are on spring break. we'll take a look ahead to this weekend's forecast coming up in five minutes. and a quick check of your mass transit. so far no delays on this early thursday morning. bart was recovering from an earlier issue in daly city, but it is all clear now. all right, it is 6:43 right now, looking live at interstate 680 in danville, and not just there, but around the bay area we know that our roadways have taken a beating during the winter storms and now our spring rain, but the question this

morning, how much do potholes cost our public works department? "today in the bay" spent the week crunching the numbers and found staggering results. in alameda county the cost to fix roads increased this year by more than 50% over last year. in san francisco costs are up more than 35%. in contra costa county it's more than 32% and in santa clara county there has been a 22% spike. san mateo county public works department tells us pothole expenses didn't really change much for them from last year, but there were a lot of issues with mudslides. we talked with workers at the tire merchant in san jose. they tell us they've seen a lot of drivers coming through with issues caused by potholes. >> you know, it's kind of good for us, but it's too bad for the customer, because they have to spend a lot of money to replace the wheel, to get it repaired, stuff like that. we should have the streets a little bit better, but, you know. >> a 12 cent per gallon gas tax

goes into effect in november and that should help to repair the damaged roadways, but hold on until then. 6:44 right now. for a community that might still be a little on edge after recent violent protests, don't be shocked if you see a large police presence in berkley today, but it's unrelated. officers are going to be training on le conte avenue. police are going to be using blank rounds, so don't be surprised if you hear what sounds like gunfire. that training should last between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. this afternoon. a sewer hike could become official later today. sanitary district members are voting on that matter this afternoon. it would ultimately raise rates 7% this year, then another 7% next year. that money would go to improvements. each hike amounts to basically $3 per month for customers. contra costa county animal services is now teaming up with the missing pet partnership to help reunite lost pets with

their families. the group will train staff and volunteers on recovering pets and preventing them from going astray in the first place. the seminars are on the 26th and 27th. the contra costa animal services takes in 10,000 dogs and cats every year. happening today, state lawmakers will discuss bills aimed at stopping construction of the president's proposed border wall. one of the president's main campaign promises was to build that wall along the u.s.-mexico border. several california state lawmakers will talk this afternoon about new legislation that is aimed at halting construction of that border wall. and 6:46, president trump dealing with new threats from north korea this morning. >> and scott mcgrew, it comes in the form, oddly enough, of a musical number. >> it would be funny, sam, if it weren't so scary. a reminder north korea cannot hit the united states with a missile yet, but it is

reasonable to expect that's not far away. all right, to the musical number, this on north korean television earlier this week. ♪ that singing following the real video. then the fake video of it hitting several targets in the united states, including in the bay area. adding to that, a north korean newspaper run by the government has said north korea is ready to launch a super-mighty preemptive strike against the united states. now, the problem here is there are just no good options for the united states. doing absolutely nothing means north koreans continue their research. attacking them with conventional weapons, anyway, north korea could easily destroy seoul before we could stop them. it's just 35 miles from the border. and 10 million people live in

seoul. the white house continues to defend its statement that the carl vinson battle group was headed towards north korea, even after the navy said it was headed in the opposite direction. white house press secretary sean spicer said yes after the president said we're sending an armada, the carrier did leave from singapore on an assignment south of there the wrong direction. now that assignment done, so the armada is now pointed in the right direction. finally, sam and kris, hat's off to reporter tracy january at the "washington post" who figured out snap-on tools, the company where president trump signed the hire american order on tuesday doesn't always hire american. snap-on applied for 70 permits to hire foreign workers. it's not clear how many, if any, they actually got. snap-on has a division here in the bay area, where it uses skilled computer programmers.

feeling very nice into the afternoon. so we're still watching out for those puddles as you head out for school this morning. lots of sun at recess and mild temperaturewise and then it continues to warm up by the time they get out of school. we will have temperatures in the upper 60s and a light wind. not really all that windy, but it will be blowing around some of that pollen, so we're watching for the moderate amount of tree pollen and also some grass. moderate amounts right now. we're still low on the weeds and the mold count right now. so heading out to the oakland coliseum this evening, it will be perfect. our temperatures start out at the first pitch at 64 degrees, and then by the end of the game we're dipping into the upper 50s with clear skies. looking ahead to the weekend, we'll see an increase in cloud cover on saturday as the storm system passes through the north. no rain here on sunday. it clears out again, but slightly cooler and our next chance of rain back in the bay area in the forecast on tuesday into early wednesday, so until then, we're looking at some clear weather.
