i'm frances rivera. >> i'm gigi. thanks for joining us. >> we start with breaking news. president trump has arrived in israel after departing saudi arabia just hours earlier. he alongside first lady melania kick off two days of meetings, speeches, public events marking the second leg of their first foreign trip. a welcome ceremony was immediately held with the president with israeli leaders, military personnel and dignitaries in attendance. the president's journey came after he spoke to a gathering of more than 50 muslim leaders in riyadh urging the islamic community to drive out extremists. >> not including in his speech, his control travel ban or any mention of islamic radical trim, a main talking point of his 2016 campaign. instead we saw a more conciliatorycommander in chief as he called for eradication of terror. >> a better future is only possible if your nations drive out the terrorists and drive out the extremists.

james comey has agreed to publicly testify before the senate intelligence committee. the news came after "the new york times" reported the president had allegedly referred to comey as, quote, a nut job when meeting with russian officials. here is what national security adviser h.r. mcmaster said about the revelation. >> the firing had been in the news. i didn't know in advance the president was going to raise it but as i mentioned he raised it in the context of explaining he feels as if he's been unable to find areas of cooperation with russia even as he confront them in key areas. as you know it's very difficult to take a few lines or paragraph out of what appears to be notes of that meeting and full context of investigation. >> comey set to testify after memorial day. an exact date has not been set. >> jury selection is starting in pennsylvania for bill cosby's sexual assault trial. the 79-year-old comedian tried

on charges he drugged and molested a woman at his pennsylvania home in 2004. cosby claims the sexual encounter was consensual. in recent years 50 women have accused of various assaults ranging from groping to rape. cosby denied all allegations of sexual misconduct. his trial set to begin june 5th and expected to last two onthree weeks. the 12 jurors and alternates will be sequestered for the trial. >> the driver in the deadly rampage at times square is speaking out. he told "new york post" he was trying to get help before the tragedy. 26-year-old richard rojas reached out to a local veterans center for counseling but had to wait several days to speak with someone. he went for a drive but says he doesn't remember allegedly mowing down 23 people, killing one of them. he told the post, i just want to apologize to all the victims' families. i want to apologize to my mom. rojas facing multiple charges
