it sounds actually like a creek, like you would hear as you go through the santa cruz money than but it's the water money breaks affecting monseras and a residential neighborhood. four homes are underñi evacuati orders. belmont police trying to clear those folks out because their homes are at risk because of the rushing water. don't know at point what size that water main break is, but i can tell you that there is a lot of water rushing. we have seen city cruise out here trying to turn them off and the belmont pd tells us that is there's some heavy equipment headed in from the water district. they are stationed just up the hill. we'll try to get more information for you, but right now no major impact to traffic, but definitely major impact here in are this neighborhood here in belmont. we'll keep you up to date on air and on our social media platforms as well n.belmont,

kris sanchez, "today in the bay. request ". >> developing news from the nation's capital as we take a live look at the capitol dome. two big decisions that we're tracking. first, overnight, president trump asked the supreme court to review the travel ban case. this does not come as a big surprise. that ban would restrict travelers to the u.s. from six predominantly muslim countries, this is version 2.0. as of right now that ban has been blocked by two lower courts, including one in san francisco and the fourth circuit court of appeals. the courts ruled the ban was discriminatory towards muslims. there's no word on when the supreme court is expected to actually hear the case. meantime, another decision that is creating worldwide reaction this morning. president trump announcing yesterday afternoon that the u.s. is going to be exiting the paris agreement on climate change. "today in the bay's" tracie potts is live in washington with why this is such a big deal across the globe.

keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going. >> this is new video of a disoriented and handcuffed tiger woods taking a breathalyzer test early monday morning. police say the test did not show any alcohol in wood's system. he later talked about an up expected reaction that he had to prescription drugs. >> developing right now, 36 people are dead along with a gunman after a brutal attack on a casino in the philippines. it happened in manila. police say the gunman fired shots at gaming tables on fire. in all that chaos people scrambled to escape but many just didn't make it out. 36 people died from smoke inhalation and not from gunshot wounds. police say the suspect apparently killed himself with his rifle on the fifth floor of that complex. >> we are getting a glimpse now into the life of the manchester suicide bomber. these chilling new images show him just days before the terror attack. security cameras caught salman abedi at various spots around

manchester. police released these photos overnight along with a plea to the public. they are hoping people can help them track down his movements. they say he purchased parts for his bomb in the days leading up to the ariana grande contest where 22 people were killed. the head of uber travis kalanick wrote a heart wrenching post about his mother's death. >> she was killed in a boating accident over the weekend and we have more information about what happened. we did. >> reporter: good morning to you. the family dog, laura, apparently got in the way as the parents were trying to steer the boat. travis wasn't there so presumably he's passing on his father's account. kalanick had been posting a lot about his parents lately. here they are at the kentucky derby. kalanick said in the facebook post his parents' boat hit rocks on pine lake. the couple, who were alone, thrown into the water and into the water for more than two hours before they were picked up by a fishermen. again, his mother was killed. kalanick wrote your prayers,

heartfelt notes and shared which is bombs are little whispers helping our family pull through. the dow closed at a record high hon thursday. is that because of the american withdrawal from the paris agreement or is it the expectation we'll get a very solid jobs number at 5:30 this morning. it is jobs friday. tesla's elon musk and disney's bob eiger announced they will resign from the president's business council after president trump said he would withdraw the united states from the paris climate agreement. the two biggest publicly trade companies apple and exxon also disagree with the president, and the mayors of american cities say they will join together to send a promise to the united nations that they will stick to tlt accords. 71 cities urged the president not to do it, including new york, los angeles, chicago, houston, phoenix, san francisco, san jose and oakland. and the head of goldman sachs tweeted today's decision is a setback for the environment and the united states leadership position in the world.

weather, but very cool during the morning hours, and in san francisco, we're looking at highs over the next several days that will gradually warm up, especially early next week into the upper 60s, and for the inland areas we'll have much more of a change in those temperatures. we started out cool this week. we're up to 80 degrees today and tomorrow. sunday just a few degrees down but then starting to rise again on tuesday next week which looks at this point to be the warmest day in the seven-day forecast. >> vianey, what's happening as you head out for the roadways? >> not much which is typically good news, especially if you're just now heading to work. the speed sensors aren't picking up major delays. the south bay was seeing a couple of fender benders along 85, but it looks like as of now we're just seeing some typical early morning and slowing and as more cars get out on the road, this, of course, will see more backups. northbound towards highway 87 towards high what 101 about 11 minutes and northbound 17 to high what 101 seven minutes.

cruiser took the brunt of that have damage. we don't know if one or two officers were inside that suv, but, again, we're told that everyone was okay and the cause is under investigation. >> all right. also new this morning, it seems like every single year your commute to work gets a little more annoying, so trying to ease up some that have congestion in the south bay. vta and san jose officials reportedly looking into creating flex lanes on highway 87, obviously a traffic hot spot. >> more live from san jose with what this could mean for commuters. good morning, sharon. >> reporter: we've all sat in this traffic before. take a look. this is where the new lanes would go right here on highway 87 between highway 85 and highway 280. transportation and city officials are looking into whether they could use the existing side emergency lanes and turn them into traffic lanes. according to "the mercury news" one extra lane would be created on each side of the freeway. this is just in the study phase, and on the way down on highway

installed. the hillside started sliding and it's been closed ever since. good morning. it's 5:36, and we're starting to see that 5:30 a.m. traffic build yuppies especially in some troubled spots that are typically known to have a few areas of concern along 580 eastbound and westbound. we're seeing some sowing and it looks like it may be due to a couple of fender benders and the drive times are showing a couple of delays westbound 580 to 680 and also another fender bender reported. about 23 minutes to vargas road. towards 680 about nine minutes. as we head over to the south bay, we haven't seen any major delays at the moment, northbound 101 to highway from highway 85 to 87. not seeing major delays but

roads are looking great as you head out the doors? >> they are. they have managed to stay pretty nice and quiet. they have picked up green except for the livermore area westbound and eastbound 84 had. we ear seeing some slowing. it looks like there were a couple of fender benders, backed up even more but it looks like it's starting to clear up finally and along eastbound 580 and westbound 580 we were also seeing some colleague right now. just looks like it's westbound so if that's your early morning commute you may want to take extra time. taking a look at tri-valley drive times, getting better. they were at 30 minutes and now 23 minutes from westbound 580. we're starting to see slow minutes on the bay bridge of ten minutes and san mateo bridge, seeing not too much of a heavy backup but definitely starting to see more cars out there. back to you. >> picking up. >> thank you, vianey. coming up next on "today in the

welcome back. it's 5:54 on your friday morning. at san francisco police officer is caught on camera threatening some residents with deportation. >> some city leaders are outraged by what they saw and heard. senior investigative reporter vicky nguyen exposed the officer's comments and joins us now with a first look at her report airing tonight at 11:00. >> reporter: the san francisco police department has a clear policy that says it does not work with federal agents to enforce immigration law. san francisco is one of the most ardent sanctuary cities in the nation, but now the internal affairs division is looking into whether an sfpd officer violate that had rule.

ago. the mother of three was an innocent bistander who was killed as she was trying to bring two of her kids home. a jury convicted three men yesterday of killing pierce, but jurors are still deadlocked over the fate of a fourth defendant. they will be back in court on monday to deliberate. a deadly hiking accident in south lake tahoe, a 14-year-old girl from minnesota fell 50 feet while she was hiking with her family on wednesday afternoon. this happened on the vikings trail and an off-duty law enforcement officer started cpr while waiting for emergency crews to get there. she was taken to a nearby hospital where she tragically passed away. >> heading into the fire season so cal fire is launching a new app that could be considered a life-saving tool. the app notifies you if your home is within 30 miles of a wildfire larger than ten acres. it also has tips to help you prepare for fires. cal fire expects a busy fire
