nba title in three years. of course, as expected, tickets are sold out at oracle arena for the game five matchup against the cleveland cavaliers. it's a bit of deja vu for warriors fans as they're once again up 3-1 heading into tonight's pivotal matchup. i was going to shoiv you video of them returning home from cleveland over the weekend. last year, when the team was up 3-1 to the cavs, they were out forward draymond green who was suspended for his actions the previous game. they went to lose that game as well as the series to the cleveland cavaliers. this year, they'll have draymond and of course kevin durant. the warriors missed their chance to sweep the cavs friday night. we had a chance to hear from steph curry and kevin durant talking about the focus heading into tonight's game, specifically about the opportunity to win the title in front of the home crowd.

them. they're speaking out today after the massive pg&e outage last april that inundated the dispatch center. the dispatchers are trying to improve emergency response times to meet national standards, but testifying before the government audit and oversight committee, new technology is also in the works to help dispatchers wither response times for ambulances. the old system, they have to use radios to determine which ambulance is closest to the call, but a new system will use gps to track the ambulances. the department of emergency management reported too few dispatchers on duty april during the power outage that left more than 80,000 in the dark. the goal is to answer 90% of calls in ten seconds, but the average time is 80% now. the dispatchers union is expected to ask for about 45 new

dispatchers by the end of next year. >> thanks for the latest there, sharon. >> 6:04 right now. dramatic rescue in the san leandro marina. call went in to the water 2:00 yesterday afternoon. that's when police say two strangers jumped in and helped three people inside get out safely. a witness actually posted this photo on facebook. we spoke to one of the rescuers over social media. he said he did the best he could to save the people in the car. >> the search is under way this morning for a hayward man missing in south lake tahoe. the man went kayaking last week but he never contacted a friend to say he made it back. coast guard officials called off the cert on saturday, but his family is trying to raise funds to rent a drone to help with their search. >> an investigation is under way after a body was found in san jose's lake almaden. that body was found saturday morning. lake almaden is near almaden

expressway and coldman road. fire officials say the report came in as a medical call, but they're not saying much more about the person who died or the cause of death. >> 6:05. happening today, firefighters from across the bay area will converge in palo alto to prepare for the upcoming fire season. teams from santa clara and san mateo county will conduct the first of three days of drills. firefighters simulate fire emergency operations and fire protection operations. california's fire season begins july 1st. >> a mixed bag of weather across the bay area. that rare june storm, quite the scene. on the left, it's lightning hitting east of petaluma. on the right, hail falling in parts of the bay area. this was sent to us by a viewer in sebastopol. >> let's talk about the rain we had yesterday as we take a live look outside. things have since quieted down in san rafael, but we did have quite a bit of rain for parts of the north bay, and in napa, almost .2 inch rain.

fairfield, almost a quarter inch, and vacca had a little more, measuring a high amount of rain for this time in june. antioch didn't measure much rain but had some hail and also in san rafael, about .02". now that system has moved off to the east, producing some snow in the seau. snow in june. you need the tire chains if you're driving through the sierra this morning. and then we'll see that winter weather advisory expiring, but it's going to be a cool day. here's a live look out there at squaw creek in lake tahoe, a fresh coating of snow. beautiful scenery there. and also in yosemite. we'll talk about the temperatures ramping up over the next few days. that's coming up in few minutes. mike starts us out with what it looks like around the bay area. >> you talked about a change for interstit 80 and also highway 80. we had that flipout on friday, thursday after the rain. that's still an issue getting to south lake tahoe. not an easy drive. just stick here because it's

nightclub shooting victims in san francisco's castro tonight. the starts at 6:30 at the corner of castro. >> in business and tech news, wall street could start the week in the red after markets were mixed last week. dow posted a gain for the third straight week. nasdaq snapped a two-week winning streak. dow was up 99. nasdaq fell 113. the head of general electric has also stepped down. the big focus for investors may be the federal reserve that kicks off the two-day meeting tomorrow, widely expected to hike interest rates again. >> microsoft lifted the curtain on its newest game console, the xbox 1-x. costing $499, twice what the xbox 1 costs. this new one has the ability to play games in 4k resolution, but is also compatible with every older game made for the xbox 1.

it is 46 degrees. as we go into this afternoon, it will only reach into the low to mid 70s inland. santa rosa up to 76 degrees there. and palo alto, 67. and in san francisco, 63. going through the planner, we'll start out in the mid 50s by 8:00 and to the low 60s with mostly sunny skies and winds will start to pick up. we may have gusts at 25 to 30 miles per hour and take a look at the seven-day forecast. you'll see our temperatures going up over the next several days. looking at that seven-day forecast. we will be in the low 60s today, and then low 70s for san francisco by the end of the week. and all sunshine throughout the next several days. and that sun will make our temperatures go from the upper 60s today to the mid 90s for the. and you'll want to make sure you plan accordingly as you're trying to figure out what to do with the kid now that they're out of school, we'll have very

morning where you see firefighters coming down a ladder. this is at an apartment complex. in hollywood. it was under construction. you can make it out in the back of your shot. a lot of firefighters had to be called to the scene this morning, as it was a blazing infern earlier. >> we have video from just minutes ago when it was really burning. part of the building's wood frame collapsed during that fire. no injuries have been reported. we'll keep our eye on this one. >> back here home locally, 6:24. nbc bay area responds to a san jose man who bought a product from a crowdfunding site and he never received it. >> chris chmura here with that story. >> a man spent $400 for a reverse osmosis water purifier advertised on a crowdfunding site. after placing the ordering nothing from the company. not even an order or shipping confirmation. after two months, he said it was time to e-mail and ask for a refund. again, no response.

>> it start out cool, and we're seeing clouds mixing in every now and then, but then, as we go into the next several days, it will warm up a lot more than this. 70 degrees in san jose and livermore. sn napa, 72, and oakland, expect a high of 65 today. looking at the seven-day forecast, we'll see the temperatures going up several degrees each day, and by the weekend, we'll be in the mid 70s in san francisco while the inland valleys will be in the mid 90s. and it's going to be more crazy weather this week. we'll talk about that and a look ahead to the weekend forecast coming up in about seven minutes. mike is showing some mild slowing right now. >> i'm glad you said officially it's crazy weather as far as meteorologists are concerned because that's what i have been calling it. traffic. coming onto to the san mateo bridge, south 880. approaching the bay bridge, a smooth drive as well. metering lights are on, and we may have debris.

>> they certainly do. good morning, laura. one of the main concerns here is the fact that this is one of the first in-n-out burgers or the first in campbell. right now, people here have to travel if they want to go to in-n-out to sunnyvale, san jose, or santa clara, one of five restaurants in those areas. so the worries are that traffic would really stack up here, especially when it first opens. this site is right now as you can see behind me, the site of a closed down elephant bar restaurant. we're at the corner of hamilton off highway 17. a developer wants to tear down this building and build the new in-n-out here. the city has put a forum on its website where people can voice their concerns and there are close to 100 comments already posted about the plan this morning. one of the main concerns, as said, is the traffic. will a busy in-n-out burger here cause a the traffic to further back up at this intersection,

and we know these in-n-out burgers can be pretty busy. in late april, a developer pulled out of an in-n-out burger project in walnut creek. people were upset about the possibility of more traffic. we have not seen that sort of organized effort here in campbell, but this is still varnew. the campbell city officials will take a look at the -- and analyze this project, what the againer has planned as far as environmental concerns and traffic concerns. we also take a look at all those comments now going to their website at that forum they have posted there. and people have plenty of time to logon to the city of campbell website and sound off on their concerns if they have concerns. it's really easy if you go to their website on the front page, row can click to it. we're live in campbell. >> we're still waiting for details from brentwood police

about a shootout with suspects over the weekend. this was scary for one family. it played out in their front yard. happened fry night. the family said it heard loud noises, saw an suv with two men inside speeding through their yard, crashed into their truck and garage. officers right behind. a shootout followed. one suspect was hit. bullets also hit the home. >> i got close to the front door here, and then i saw a car careen into the yard. and at that point, i took off upstairs to get the kids and wife. >> i heard some shots and then a crash and then a second set of shots. >> the injured suspect taken to the hospital. >> 6:34. new details, authorities have identified a man shot and killed last week in a sunnyvale strip mall parking lot. they say a 21-year-old died. it happened thursday morning on east wayne avenue west of lawrence expressway.

complete. attorneys general in two different states are expected to file a major against the president as soon as today. the lawsuit alleges he violated anticorruption clauses in the constulation. attorneys general in the district of columbia and state of maryland claim the president has retained ownership of his hotel chain and accepted benefits from foreign governments. that's illegal. the president said he moved his business assets into a trust managed by his son. this is the first of its kind brought by a government entity. if a judge allows for the case to proceed, they'll ask for tax returns. >> taking a live look at washington, d.c. this morning. the fallout ongoing after former fbi director james comey testified, and all eyes will be on capitol hill again tomorrow as the senate hears from attorney general jeff sessions under oath. today in the bay's edward lawrence live in washington with what we can expect to learn. good morning, edward.

without parole. >> 6:48 right now. more high drama expected today in the bill cosby trial as the defense steps up to the plate. cosby was led into the courtroom by his wife camille, who has not been seen for the entire first week of the trial. the comedian is accused of drugging and assaulting a woman in 2004. the woman you see here, andrea constand, is one of dozens to accuse cosby of varying degrees of sexual miscult. her case is the only one to go to trial. cosby has denied all the allegations against and maintained the interaction with constand was consensual. >> 6:49 this morning. take a look at this man walking down the aisle a flight. a nice gentleman, right? look closer. that's former president jimmy carter. he surprised everyone on a flight from atlanta to washington, d.c. shaking hands with every person onboard. a woman sitting right in front of the guy reporting, she quickly started fixing her hair as she realized who he was.

low 70s by. mid 70s for the weekend. inland valleys will have the most dramatic shift in temperatures after a cool weekend and cool start to the week, it's going to be in the mid 90s in time for this weekend. and it looks to stay hot for quite a while. now as we head to mike, a new crash on the east shore freeway. >> a pretty smooth drive around the bay overall, somewhere south of the san mateo bridge, which is starting to build for the south bay and sillicon valley. the demarcation point where traffic is still picking up into north hayward, and here, sudden slowing in the last ten ten minutes around mcbride. we have one lane blocked by this crash, and sudden slowing. let's show you what waze reports. to get around the best route is the purple one, which takes you on san pablo aefld and across the richmond to san rafael bridge and across the golden gate bridge. that's the quickest route instead of slugging it through. now, mike air, great name,
