gone asleep yet. as we go into today we are going to have some slightly warmer temperatures in san jose, up to 76, oakland 71 and 82 today in napa. let's talk about the warriors victory parade as we'll have some beautiful weather on thursday. it starts at 10:00 in the morning and of course we will have everything you need to know about the parade. let's head over to mike. >> all of the transit agencies have already sent out notices. we will take you to west 24, that's your commute direction. heading in toward a crash reported but just about in the last stages of clearing some damage to the car but the lanes should be cleared in the next few minutes and we have a smooth drive as far as the rest of your approaches toward the bay bridge. here are your travel times no problem. back to you.

there's your instant reaction. the warriors, the nba champs and the bay area is going wild this morning. >> from inside to outside, fans celebrating the night away but not without some problems. >> with the overnight arrests and some of the damage that was left behind. pete, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you and there's a lot to celebrate inside and outside the arena last night as the 2017 nba champions. some video first inside. there were plenty of celebrations as the warriors took care of business celebrating their second championship in three year beating the cleveland cavaliers. now this marks the first time a bay area team has won a championship in the bay area

fans. and kevin durant leading the way and taken home mvp honors. outside of oracle the fireworks were on display. for fans it was the culmination of one of the most historic seasons of nba history. >> we had a strong feeling it was going to happen. >> knew it was going to happen. game five at home warriors win. >> i've been a season ticket holder since '86, yeah. it been a long run. >> there weren't many incidents celebrations. oakland police saying things have settled now. you guys are looking at video of dumpster fires and also their reports of side shows one taking place near 100th and international. but overall an exciting night for fans as the warriors take care of business. we'll hear more from those fans and talk about some of those

good morning. live at cnbc world headquarters. wall street will try to rebound from monday's losses today as tech stocks such as apple and facebook came under pressure again. the nasdaq posting its biggest two day slide since december. investors will get economic data on inflation. the federal reserve also begins a two day meeting and is widely expected to hike interest rates for a second time this year.

the now falling 36 points to 21,235. the nasdaq down 32 to 6175. >> a new report out today shows americans gave more to charity last year, the data from giving usa shows donations from individuals, estates and foundations and companies reached $390 billion that is up nearly 3% from 2015. the biggest percentage increase was for money given to environmental and animal welfare groups. the largest share of donations $123 billion went to religious organizations, although the actual increase was just modest. it is taco tuesday. taco bell is given away free tacos from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. it's all thanks to the golden state warriors who stole a win from the cleveland cavaliers by winning game three of the nba finals. no purchase necessary and there's a limit of one freebie per person while supplies last.

right now live look at the transamerica building and they were partying in san francisco last night, they were partying in the oakland and south bay and east bay. >> the parade is coming on thursday so the heat. >> yeah, but in oakland it's still going to be nice especially during the morning and everyone lining up very early in the morning. it's going to be good. but the inland areas are really going to feel that heat especially as we head into the weekend. here's a look outside right now at three of our microklei mates. looking now with the try valley. it's 51 degrees and over torted left at south bay 53 degrees. oakland right now 55 degrees. mostly clear skies and the golden gate bridge and those flashing lights is 52 degrees. as we get a look at those high temperatures, today it's going to be slighter warmer than yesterday and the seven-day forecast is coming up. we'll start out in the south bay and this is where we're going to

see the highs and low 80s in gill roy as we head through the east bay up to 82 creeks in walnut creek. still very nice there. daily city 64 and we'll see some mird to upper 70s for belmont and palo alto. mission district today 68 degrees and some lower 80s for nevada and napa. so you're looking outside, it's still dark and we're seeing some mostly clear skies and as we head into the closet getting ready for the day of course you're going to be wearing all gold everything so you need your jacket heading out, nice clear skies to start out but then with that our temperatures will be warming up. maybe some short sleeves for later on today. and as we get out there and enjoy our time outside, keep in mind that there's still a high amount of tree pollen also a moderate amount of grass pollen, so you're probably hearing a lot of people sneezing if it's not you. going throughout the day in san francisco, looking at the temperature trend we start out

in the morning with just a few clouds but mostly sunny and breezy throughout the day. temperatures reaching into the upper 60s and mainly clear skies tonight at 8:00 we'll be at 62 degrees. if you haven't seen my picture on facebook, i'm really proud of my garden. this is a look at what i posted on facebook. i want to see your pictures because a lot of people were telling me what's doing very well in their garden, just send me your pictures and i'll feature them right here. mike is showing slowing from southbound. >> we're looking at green like carry's garden. starting to clear up for the last few minutes i watch this pop up on the radar. southbound 17 heading down toward bear creek area from overnight road work is clearing right now and scheduled to pick up right about now any way. we're also looking at that area for the closure southbound one lane will be closed during the middle of the day because of that paving project continuing until the end of the week.

police believe the suspect was having a quote psychotic episode, that the killing was apparently random. it happened on friday night. a neighbor says he came face-to-face with the suspect who wasn't wearing any clothes and was holding a hammer. >> i walked out to the end of the steps, i screamed whose there and this naked lady comes jetting out of my backyard with a hammer in her hand completely naked. the cops were here within two minutes. they went down and arrested her. at that point they didn't know what she did. >> police believe the 39-year-old acted alone. >> happening today, oakland city leaders considering adding an inspector to the new voter approved civilian police commission. city hall, the city's public safety committee will dus responsibilities of that civilian commission and vote to add the civilian inspector general. we spoke about what the commission would do. >> you need someone's whose

going to audit and look at reforms and audit the police department on an on going basis and that somebody needs to be a civilian who has expertise and be someone who reports to the police commission not to the police chief. >> the commission was overwhelming approved by voters in november. this was in response to a number of scandals involving sexual misconduct by members of the police department. that resulted in a nearly $1 million settlement with the victim. >> happening today, a couple is set to be evicted from their home after they say that a loan scheme cost them their house. the bay area news group reports that robert saxton will lose their home of 42 years. they bought this back in the 1970s. they paid a southern california company who promised to renegotiate the loan on their house. the company vanished and now the bank is foreclosing on them. >> 4:50 right now.

it's pretty clear as he makes his way across there. nice start to our tuesday morning. it's 4:45u 54. >> along came the spider there goes the spider. new in germany a man grabbed a police officer's service pistol and shot her at a subway station. the gunman ended up injuring two bystanders as well. the officers injuries are considered to be life threatening. the bystanders are expected to pull through. the shooter was seriously injured by gunfire. the shooters motivations might have been something personal. >> former nba star dennis rodman arrived in beijing in north korea for another visit. is rodman first visit to the country since president trump took office. rodman told reporters his goal is to quote open a door with north korea. he said it's something they both need. >> he's pretty much trying to
