the heat about to roll in as we head closer to the weekend so it starts out nice. today in san francisco highs in the upper 60s and then some mid-70s by the end of the week. inland areas is where we're going to feel the pain. the high heat ramping up in time for the end of the weekend so enjoy today while it's still fairly mild. we'll take a look ahead to that warriors parade forecast coming up in seven minutes. mike has the focus on oakland. >> that's where we continue to see the slower drive because of a crash still blocking your slow lanes. it's a singular, major impact to your commute that's going to take over a half hour. truck involved in a crash leaking fuel. there's more cleanup that's necessary. things are starting to slow up just past 980. eastbound 580 is a great alternate for you because of a lighter flow of traffic. the bay bridge does have your toll plaza meetering lights on.

i'm surprised i still have my voice after screaming so much. winning the nba finals once again last night but it's all about the championship trophy. larry o'brien back here in the bay area. once again the second time in three years. let's go ahead and show you some of that video of the celebration there happening inside the arena. the warriors celebrating their second championship in three years beating the cavaliers 129-120. this marks the first time a bay area team has won a championship at their home state since the oakland a's did it more than 40 years ago. kevin durant had a huge game taking home those nba finals mvp honors. you have the firework shows on display as fans celebrated the victory. this was really the culmination of one of the historic seasons in nba history. >> we came to end it. we came to end it all and it's

international, another on 19th and broadway. >> pete was talking about all the gear, we'll be seeing those shirts and foam fingers and everything else littering the parade route. let's talk about that victory parade. it'll start thursday morning on broadway at 11th street and move right up broadway all the way up to grant avenue and come around lake merret and end down here at the kaiser convention center. thousands of fans are expected to head to oakland for the parade. sharon katsuda joining us live this morning with the impact the parade's going to have on public transit. good morning, sharon. >> reporter: good morning, sam. it's estimated about 500,000 fans showed up at the last parade so you can bet they'll be heading there again this thursday, possibly hopping on bart so we have a lot of tips for you. i was at the last victory parade and it is massive. as you can see from the video from the parade two years ago, you'll have crowds along the

route and parking is very limited. so people will be taking mass transit. the parade will start at 10:00 a.m. at 12th and broadway and head up broadway to lake mer merit. because of the parade some lines will be closed in oakland so check the website on how to get around the city on thursday. bart says buy tickets ahead of time because parade goers will be traveling at the same time that regular bart goers heading to work. bag side restrictions. long lines. keep it as small as possible if you're heading toward the main stage. no alcohol and no fireworks permitted. authorities are saying please keep this family friendly and safe and they say if you see something, say something. keep it safe for everyone. again if you also want to enjoy this from the comfort of your own home, you can watch this on

it's not clear if that case is or is not connected to the warriors celebration. >> other news to get to right now locally and parents in the fremont union school district are taking a stand against bullying and what she say is the school's failure to address it. they'll be a news conference. angry with bullying at monta vista high school. they want to stand in solidarity with an african-american student who was targeted last year. her family has already filed a civil lawsuit alleging that classmates quoted a kill list which identified all the black students on campus. that lawsuit claimed the district was negligent because it failed to prevent this from happening even though it was aware of the problem. we reached out to the school district which issued a statement saying in part, quote, when it was first brought to the attention of administrators, staff immediately investigated and took appropriate disciplinary action. >> 6:08 right now and it's another big day in washington today as attorney general jeff sessions testifies in front of

the senate intelligence committee. sessions will testify in an open session, he'll be asked why he failed to disclose yet another meeting with the russian ambassador. he'll be asked why he allowed president trump to have private meetings with fired fbi director james comey. in the meantime a frenltd of the president told pbs that trump is considering firing robert mueller the special counsel investigating possible ties between trump's campaign and russian officials. >> i think he's considering perhaps terminating the special counsel. i think he's weighing that option. >> he should not further obstruct our efforts and the fbi and the department of justice's efforts to get to the bottom of what happened. >> congressman eric swalwell. democrats say firing mueller will be a huge mistake. you can watch session's testimony without interruption right here. our coverage kicks off at 11:00 a.m. >> we're coming up on 6:10 on

this tuesday morning as we go into this afternoon. we're going to see temperatures just a little bit warmer than yesterday but still very nice. we're up to 84 degrees in concord, livermore. if you are making plans to head to the warriors victory parade on thursday, of course you're planning to do that, lining up early along the parade route it will be nice and cool in the low 60s and as we go through the day it'll become much more comfortable. highs in the mid-70s in oakland on thursday. coming up in three minutes i'll have a look at the temperature trend for palo alto but mike starts us out with a crash in dublin. >> that's why i have the live picture behind me which shows westbound 580 gumming up. before you get to el-charo heading westbound you'll hit those brakes. let's show you the map and that is because of that crash that is still over there at dourty involving a dump truck but there's another of other vehicles on the shoulder. we see this build heading back

tri-valley. >> we want to get you caught on breaking news we've been following this morning for the about the last 30 minutes or so. >> in georgia "the associated press" has just confirmed within the last two minutes, two prison guards have been killed and we're learning about how it may have happened. >> it's the putnam county sheriff's department that says the guards were killed on a prison bus after the prisoner car jacked the driver and they're on the run. >> it happened 75 miles outside of atlanta headed to the scene. we're hoping to bring you those pictures as soon as we get them. >> we'll bring you updates. back out to the big story here at home, a little golden ray right now on oracle arena. it was loud not just inside but outside the arena as well as oakland and the rest of the bay area over the moon this morning. >> front page of the "san francisco chronicle" this morning, the headline reading simply champs again.

fire for all kinds of things, from sexual harassment to abusive culture to sneaky software to fool regulators. one of the possibilities is for the companies founder to take a leave of absence. he's often at the center of the controversies that dog uber. on monday, uber's second in command, resigned from the company. he was also a lightning rod. he was accused of suggesting in public that uber hire private investigators to track reporters who cover uber. sarah lacy to dig up dirt on her. the big question of course is can a new plan fix a company that's suffered from damaged culture for years. the ceos i talked to said it might but instead of fixing a company that's broken, it's better to deal with the problems as it comes. >> my point is that today companies can measure the experience of their employees on a regular basis. so there's no excuse for being

surprised. there's really no excuse for having an uber situation, because you should be on top of the employee experience across all of your populations on a regular and ongoing basis. >> the fed starts it's two day interest rate meeting today. the nasdaq's being getting crushed lately. general motors announced it would deploy a fleet of self-driving chevy bolts. they bought a start-up recently for a $1 billion. over at best buy, here's a new program. you'll be able to rent the technology before you buy it. try it before you buy so 100 bucks or so, you borrow a camera for a day or two. if you buy the camera, then you get your $100 back. it's an interesting way to compete against amazon. >> they've got to find a way. >> they do. >> no investment needed here. this is for free. >> who wants to go to lunch? >> taco bell giving away free

highs in the upper 60s. if you're looking for something free to do with the kids today out of school and you're like what's going on, how about heading to the san francisco botanical garden. it will be free told and our temperatures are going to be nice and cool there of the later on this afternoon seeing those highs in the mid-to upper 60s. i posted pakt yesterday of my garden and if you are following me on facebook at meteorologist carri hall. i was showing you a picture of my squash. send me your pictures. i may share it right here. our temperatures going up a few degrees each day and san francisco heading into the weekend those will be very nice. and looking at the inland areas, not nice at all. in fact, we'll have a prolonged period of some high temperatures into the 90s and it looks like that could extend even into next week. i'll keep you up-to-date on that and in less than 20 minutes i'll have a look at the weekend

forecast. mike is still tracking two crashes. >> most of the bay looks good but i have two crashes in particular that are causing a problem so as we move out of the way, 92 coming off ada. san mateo bridge build. this crash still an issue for west 580. just shy of the interchange that crash. a number of vehicles on the shoulder and a dump truck. another truck over here for southbound 880 from about 980 to 23rd. leak involved. everybody's slowing down to see what's going on. let's give you the option path. we can show you emeryville, you have three ways mapped out and eastbound 580 is the best way. make sure that you register as they do because we want to make sure we can thank you folks. you know, how to join our team so go ahead and do that.

consumer investigator chris chmura is here with their story. >> reporter: his family often sell items on ebay. his 6th grade daughter really enjoyed by selling lipsticks. but she found she often had to cancel her auctions because she was selling her inventory to her friends at school instead of on ebay. ebay didn't like that his daughter was cancelling auctions so it told her she couldn't sell on the site any more. ebay does state in its user agreement. it row voeked selling pictures from the entire family. and they all have positive reviews. but ebay didn't budge in its decision. so todd reached out to us for help. we contacted ebay and it reinstated the family's account. they are back up on ebay and selling away. ebay didn't respond to our request for comment.

day today, looking forward to that parade. it's going to be reaching into the low to mid-80s for the inland valleys. look at san jose we'll be up to 76 just a little bit warmer than yesterday. and of course we're looking ahead to thursday and we'll have it right here but if you'll be out there lining the parade route, it'll be cool toll start some low 60s and at the time the parade starts rolling, 67 degrees. it really doesn't get any better than that. high temperatures as you continue to celebrate throughout the day we'll be in the mid-70s. i'll have a look ahead to some weekend events as well. that's coming up in about seven minutes but mike takes us out on the san mateo bridge. >> i was very disturbed by the view just a few minutes ago. we had absolutely no traffic. i don't mean light traffic, no cars on the westbound direction. there may have been a quick traffic break because now traffic flowing once again reinstated. we'll show you the map and we did have a backup over there. an incident reported around 880

arriving in north korea. this is rodman's first visit to the country since president trump took office. rodman told reporters that his goal is to quote, open a door with the north koreans. it's something that they both need. >> trying to accomplish something we both need. >> reporters there asking rodman about u.s. citizens detained in north korea but he said that is not the purpose of his visit. north korea received rodman warmly in the past but the u.s. has criticized his repeated visits to that country. >> there's another day of potentially dramatic testimony on capitol hill as the attorney general is set to testify before the senate. >> jeff sessions has been in front of the senate before. >> yes, he has where he didn't tell the entire truth about two meetings with russians. that was a big enough controversy that sessions ended up recusing himself from the

overall russian investigation. that happened during this his confirmation hearing. today attorney general sessions will go before the senate intelligence committee, the same committee that jim comey faced last week. key questions today. was mr. sessions at a third meeting with the russian kislyak at the mayflower hotel that he's never told us about? what role did mr. sessions take in the firing of fbi director jim comey? and does sessions recollection of that meeting with the president square to what jim comey told us? the other development as we wait for jeff sessions to testify is the idea the president might fire the special counsel appointed to investigate. on an interview with pbs news hour last night, one of the president's families who had just met with the president suggested that idea. >> is president trump prepared to let the special counsel pursue his investigations? >> well, i think he's

considering perhaps terminating the special counsel. i think he's weighing that option. >> the white house denies that rudy and the president ever spoke about the special counsel. a number of republicans are floating trial balloons. newt gingrich just tweeted, republicans are delusional if they think the special counsel is going to be fair. look who he's hiring. check federal election commission reports. just a few weeks earlier said robert mueller is a superb choice to be special counsel. his reputation is impeccable for honesty and -- media should calm down. he was awarded a purple heart and a bronze star as a marine veteran -- marine in vietnam. he was u.s. attorney here under san francisco, fbi second longest serving director behind j. he had gar hoover.
