it )s friday morning.. a live look outside at dublin.. where we will finally see some it is friday morning. it sure is. rain or shine, heat, whatever. here we go. a live look outside of dublin. we will finally see a little bit of relief from the big heat wave that has hit the bay area. that will be nice. good morning to you. i'm laura garcia-cannon. >> and i'm sam brock. you had me at friday. you didn't need to keep going after that. >> it it's going to be great to have some cooler temperatures. we can say cooler even though it's still going to be in the 90s in parts of the bay area, but that's better than the triple digits. here is where we begin this morning in the low to mid-60s. it doesn't feel very warm in parts of the bay area. look at the san francisco camera

had in the middle of the screen all fogged over. it will help bring down those temperatures he especially alon the coastline and even provide a little bit of relief for the inner bay. you can still see upper ninth for concord and livermore. morgan hill up to 92 degrees. we'll talk more about this, where we have heat advisories in effect and also a look ahead to the weekend. mike is saying there's a lane blocked for 17. that's right, southbound 17. so here is your map of the bay's biggest commute areas. looking to the south here heading to the summit. right around the summit one lane is blocked by a big rig. not a lot of traffic obviously. one lane is okay. watch for the flashing lights. this could be a problem, a disractraction for the other si. no major problems but there is some fog out there as kari is talking about. be careful getting into the

tomorrow and sunday. you might recall last year the security was increased significantly after 49 people were shot and killed at the gay nightclub in orlando. that has not changed. those same security measures are in place again this year. san francisco police will increase the number both in uniform and plain clothes. everybody must go through security. if you are entering the celebration your bag can be no bigger than 18x18 inches and if your bag is larger there will be no storage lockers available. you're not allowed to bring in outside alcohol. organizers are reminding people not to take drinks from strangers. pride runs from noon to 6:00 tomorrow, 11:00 to 6:00 sunday with a parade at 10:30. you are encouraged to take public transportation. on sunday b.a.r.t. will open at 8:00 or be running saturday-like service with increased trains. that said expect b.a.r.t. to be

news that we first brought you yesterday morning. we are learning that a deadly double shoot iing in brentwood turned out to be a botched home invasion robbery. the homeowner caught two armed men trying to break into his house on wednesday night. a surveillance camera capture some of the chaos. he says one of the suspected robbers died in his front yard. >> he had a mask on his face like a homemade mask. eyes, nose and mouth cut out. he was bleed iing out of his mouth. >> the names of the suspects have not the been released. as for the homeowner, he was voluntarily detained and later released. he is not facing any charges. palo alto police looking for a man they say was driving a car without pants. he exposed himself in two locations. this is a sketch.

effect for all of these areas shaded in orange that does not include the coastline and the north bay now. just wanted to show you where the heat advisories will be for today. some of the interior valleys from concord and the tri-valley as well. and the seven-day forecast is now up. you'll see how the temperatures trend the next several days looking much better. we made it over 100 degrees. gilroy up to 93 degrees so you can still tell it's going to be hot and we're going to be in the upper 90s for livermore over to concord as well as danville up to 98 degrees.

highs up to 87 in san francisco. we'll stay in the 60s in the outer sunset. 87 in sonoma. at least we don't have the extreme heat. milder temperatures, no need for a jacket. we are in for some major changes heading into the weekend. the jet stream will begin dipping back down and had that may be just enough energy with this high pressure still across the southwest. that's something we'll be watching and could put a damper on your travel plans. we're going to see the temperatures go from the low 70s to the 60s for the beginning of next week. a high of 97 degrees and highs in the upper 80s by the end of the weekend.

than one seat. the plan was never enforced but allowed b.a.r.t. to fine people up to $500. critics argued it targeted homeless. board members scrapped the plan deciding it would be too difficult to enforce. we are going to find out later today if parts of the golden gate bridge will be closed off to traffic during next month's san francisco marathon. they may create an extra barrier between runners and the cars. in that picture it's just cones. this is the first time bridge officials are considering closing all northbound lanes and limiting southbound traffic to just two lanes. recent it terror attacks in europe involving cars being used as weapons have prompted a look at these extra safety measures. in the past just cones separated 15,000 runners and vehicles. the race is on sunday, july 23rd. the secret service says it is aware of the comments made by johnny depp about president trump, joking ly.
