francisco 64 degrees, 65, and oakland will be at 69 degrees and supporter 70s for san jose. we'll talk about some even cooler temperatures in the forecast coming up but mike already has a crash in san francisco. >> it's coming down the decline just like we are in the week over here off the bay bridge. we're look at a smaj drive for our sensors. it's southbound 101 just off westbound 80 and it's coming off the bay bridge and that's where we do have a crash. major damage to the two vehicles that were involved. so we're going to watch for problems but so far we haven't seen any. easy drive just 14, 15 minutes off the 4 to the toll plaza. back to you. at 4:31 we're following a breaking story on the peninsula this morning. police investigate a shooting in a redwood city neighborhood. >> this going on right now at hoover street, right by the marsh road exit just off 101. today's bob redell joining us live. bob, what are you learning?

>> reporter: well, we just spoke is with an investigator of redwood city police department rejust arrived here on the scene to join the patrol officers here. and right over here in front of this home on the sidewalk is where this young man was found shot early this morning. now the call came in as a 911 call from neighbors. they reported a disturbance around 20 crock in the morning. when officers arrived they found this 18-year-old man shot twice, once in the leg, the other time in the moth. he's right now at stanford hospital. i spoke to the detective said he's under going surgery. >> i said how is he going? >> he said i don't know because is he undergoing surgery. he was shot once in the mouth and the once in the leg. police are not revealing whether or not they have suspect input. they said when they arrived this 18-year-old was here by himself. they're about to expand the crime scene but back out here live they justent erpd are the property in front of the home

where he was shot. they have flashlights out looking for evidence and earlier we knew they had flashlights out looking for surveillance cameras that neighbors might have and to see if they exist and if they did if they captured this crime. a young man, 18 years old shot twice, once in the leg, once in the mouth, undergoing surgery right now condition unknown. reporting live in redwood city, bob redell, today in the bay. >> thanks for the late tleft. in the meantime, more breaking news this morning, two workers at san jose airport were take toent hospital overnight after they were exposed to carbon monoxide. there's there's an intense cleanup going on. >> chris is there with the very latest for us. >> reporter: hi there, sam and lure ra. we're outside terminal a b "a" here you with see that folks passengers travelers still arriving flying on hawaiian and delta those are the airlines housed here. the incident happened in a work area that's down below this level in a secure area so we

don't have video of that but we are working with the spokesperson to try to get video of that. as we understand. crews that were affected were working with a gas-powered saw and if you've ever done chores in your garage you know that if you use a gas-powered saw where there's not enough ventilation than carbon monoxide can build up. those workers started to feel dizzy and nauseous. they were transported to the hospital as a precaution but we do expect them to be okay. this will not affect travelers this morning but here's what we were just told in the last 15 minutes or so. that a san jose fire department testing in the area revealed higher than normal levels of carbon monoxide. airport staff vent lalted the area with fans and fresh air through open doors, monitored by security guards spot airport security is not going to be an issue and at this point that carbonneau knox side issue is not going to be an issue because it's not come frlgt airport it stefl was coming from a gas-powered saw. so it seems this situation is

meantime facebook is making a big push into video content launching watch. the tab which is available to just a limited number of users right now will be the home for original shows, reality tv, and live streaming of major league baseball games. facebook is hoping that watch will open up a new method of tiesing that doesn't clutter news feeds and keeps people on the site and the mobile app longer. finally, tesla is reportedly develop a long-haul electric semitruck that can drive self. the truck would also move in a constlie automatically follows a lead vehicle. tesla met with california dmv this week and says it's getting close to testing it in nevada. elon musk seds the truck would be revealed in november but didn't say it would be self-driving. that's the key. back over to you. be interesting to see. >> who manning the wheel. thank you very much. 4:40 right now, continuing

morning as we take a live look outside in san jose. evergreen we'll feel cool air throughout the morning with some cloudy skies rising into the low 80s today. it's going to be another nice one. we'll talk about what's ahead coming up next. and a quick look at that part of the east bay, the just as busy as the bridge for the minute. we'll talk about fremont and the rest of your day coming up. dangers in the water, the beaches near the bay area that are now off limits.

. live look outside right now, this is from san jose. that fog which is kind of been here the last several days making its way down to the south bay. we are wearing our yellow today and i have a feeling subconsciously we're trying to wield the sunshine out. >> it's sunshiny kind of thursday. >> i hope it is. >> you're wearing yellow too. >> don't ask me. >> we're matching. >> all right. when's the sun coming out? >> it's going to couple of out later for san francisco, inland areas will get a lot more sunshine, the sun breaking out by late morning but right now we're still with the clouds and patchy fog. it's in the low 60s as you step out right now and on the east bay looking now at fremont right there on the right side of your screen it's at 59 degrees and 57 degrees now in san francisco. well, we are looking at high temperatures today that will be reaching into the upper 70s for

the south bay and it's going to be another nice one. also some low to mid-80s for morgan hill and gilroy and then as we move over towards the east bay in concord will be up to 82 degrees and 80 in walnut creek. expect some low 60s for half moon bay, san mateo to 71 degrees an the mission district looking at a high of 64 degrees. for the north bay some mid-70s for mill valley while santa rosa 8 be 81 degrees. a very nice day and as you're looking out the window you're getting ready for the morning and for the day, it will be a great day to have something like a hat to give you some shade, especially if you're heading out the door for the later morning hours. we will have some bright sunshine, but early in the day it's just going to be humid, sunglasses too, even though it doesn't look like we'll get much sun asch now. and some long sleeves also a good thing because especially if they're light long sleeves you'll stay comfortable throughout the day and some pants as well.

we're comfortable wearing whatever in this kind of weather but you may need a jacket if you're going santa cruz because the temperatures start out in the upper 50s throughout the morning and still clouds through at least 10:00 but then sunny and reaching into the upper 60s if you're going hiking in the north bay, there will be patchy clouds to start but 10:00 we're up to 73 degrees, low 80s today and it would be perfect but it will also be windy as goe into this evening. san francisco sees temperatures in the 60s, even dropping to the lower 60s early next week. that's when the inland areas will be cooling down. so we keep the low 80s over the next few days, monday looks to be the cool ef daest day. and then it starts to warm up next week. mike says it looks quiet on the roads. very quiet on the roadways. we're looking at 447 right now as far as that time. so early in the commute and thursdays tend to be pretty smooth as they start. we're looking toward the tri-valley east bay castro valley, no drama getting over toward the san mateo bridge.

a quick look at the live camera just to show you you're not alobe. we have a good volume westbound. eastbound moves well as well. waysways -- these three routes from berkeley over to san francisco show you the obvious choice would be the bay bridge, most direct and quickest right now. over the course of the morning it maybe quicker for some folks to take this route. you can plan your departure time this morning or after work you can use this forecasting utility that we have when you can look at the traffic flow as its expected to be baktsed on the historical datas that that waze has and you can join our team. it is 4:48 right now, new details being young pays off for bart riders. teenagers that switch to clipper cars will get a fist% discount.

they say that right now 1% of clipper cars take vac of the current use discount. also starting next year there will be a 50 cent surcharge for paper tickets so bart is pushing people to go paperless and use those clipper cards. in a meantime a bart bat is brewing in one of the east bay stations. the bart board of directors is now voting against build a new parking garage at the dublin pleasanton station. they will instead remodel the current garage to make it automated. bart says this new plan is cheaper and will still provide more parking. critics say bart is just trying to cut corners. all new this morning a downtown san jose street now has a pop-up bike lane. it's temporary but you can use it through the weekend. it runs from fourth street to the san jose campus up to james street. that temporary addition actually part of of a visit by the national association of city transportation officials. the paper reports that group is advising the city on ways to

bridge 4:54 right now on your thursday morning, couple cars out there on the roadways going back and forth over the golden gate bridge this morning, the fog not too intense. we are seeing it all over the bay area this morning. kari will have more on that in a couple minutes. two drugstore chains popular in the bay area now facing similar suits over claims they overcharged some customers. each claim contends the

pharmacies at walgreens and cvs worked with den fit managers to conduct so-called copay schemes. according to claims customers were overbuild when they used insurance to pay for their generic drugs and then were never informed cash prices would be much cheaper. they argue benefit managers pocketed the extra money. w gral greens is not commenting but cvs says it has no merit. prices at the pump going up across the bay area as drivers paying 3 cents more than they were at. time last month. here's a breakdown of some of the average prices. according to triple "a," the average price of gas is $2.99 that is up 2 cents. in oakland you can get a gallon of gas for about $3, and san francisco $3.12 a gallon. according to gas experts, travel demand is driving that increase in prices.
