to hip plan out your day as the cool temperatures continue at least through the 10 to clock hour, it starts to warm up very quickly and before you know it early afternoon we'll be in the upper 80s to lower 90s. and that will not be where we see the most extreme temperatures in the south county gilroy will see a high of whun 2 degrees today. this is the beginning of the heat wave so our temperatures ramping up a lot higher than where we were yesterday. oakland up to 84 degrees and 106 degrees in concord today. 87 in san mateo and red wood city at 90 degrees. the mission district reaching into the upper 70s, and for the north bay we're looking at mostly some mid to upper 90s with a few spots hitting 100 degrees. as you're starting out this morning and standing right there in front of the closet getting ready for the day, it will be a good day for something that will keep you cool, like some short sleeves and shorts, and if you can, make it a beach or a pool day. try to stay cool in this weather over the next few days and don't

forget something that could give a little bit of shade and protect your head from the heat like a hat. and as we go into the next several days this is how we will be dressing and trying to find cooler places like half moon bay. if you're going golfing there today it will start out in the upper 50s but we won't see as mitch of the the low clouds and fog as we've seen recently so a lot more sunshine to warm up those temperatures. i also wanted to kiep up to date on what's happening with harvey. it has weakened to a tropical depression and you can see how much rain it is still picking up as it taps into that deep gulf moisture. and over the next several days this will continue to be a slow mover and bringing rain across the south. we will also have a very slight chance of rain heading into labor day. we'll be watching out for that on monday. in the meantime, we'll have to deal with some extreme temperatures where in sflans san francisco will be getting close to 90 degrees tomorrow as well as saturday. inland areas will be over 100 degrees through at least next tuesday. as we get an update on what's
