mike, ymay have a few issues. the only one that may be of concern is half moon bay, about a mile, and quarter mile in santa rosa. even less. please be mindful behind the wheel. san francisco, about 7 miles. really i think the north bay is seeing most of that fog. golden gate, periods of patchy fog on the bay bridge, mike has seen that as well. you can expect this to clear out by the afternoon, making way for a pretty nice afternoon. let's check in with mike. >> all right. we are on the way to a nice commute for the morning. we expect not much morning commute. green all over the bay. these sensors look great. no major incidents. try and keep it that way. one crash popped up, westbound highway 24. haven't seen slowing in the last five to seven minutes since that happened. west 24, it moved to the

last ten minutes. we learned the death toll there has climbed. nbc news confirmed at least 155 people killed in a mosque attack in the sinai peninsula. also new, at least 120 people are hurt. there are reports that men in four off road vehicles opened fire on worshippers inside that mosque during a sermon. egypt's president already declared three days of mourning. we will bring updates as they come in. double amputee olympian oscar pistorius's sentence has been doubled, increased to 13 years and 5 months by the south africa supreme court of appeals. the court upheld appeal by prosecutors that challenged the original six year sentence, thought it was too lenient for that conviction. he shot his girlfriend in predawn hours of valentine's day 2013.

at mar-a-lago. look at downtown san jose. christmas in the park starts in the city's plaza. tree lighting starts at 6:00 tonight. weather should be night. mike inouye will be there for the big event, he is hosting and does a spectacular job. you need a light sweater. temperatures remain fairly comfortable, even through late night hours. probably won't get cold until the overnight hours. then probably you need a jacket. depends if you go out partying, right? i am not saying he parties, saying if. 65 degrees by 11:00 a.m. then as you head into the afternoon hours, by 1:00, 2:00, into the upper 60s. highs in santa clara expected to be in the upper 70s at times. yes, clouds come in, but then we get breaks of sunshine. it will be similar to what we saw yesterday. quick look at the micro climate

it is 6:12. as you wake up this friday morning and head out, it is not very cold. it is 7 degrees warmer in morgan hill than we were yesterday. we are expecting to have warmer temperatures stick around awhile. i am working on sierra snow and rain forecast. all of the details in a bit. this is the north bay. normally at this time bottom number is in the 40 minute range. that's how light it is for the north bay. patches of fog in napa and santa rosa. no delays for this portion of east bay. i will show you what's going on on other roadways and on the transit systems. an overnight wreck sends at least one person to the hospital. the driver crashed into several trees. >> damian trujillo is live at the scene off tully road. they had to shut the street down

several hours. >> reporter: yes, the scene cleared awhile ago. tully road is open now. the driver left quite a mess in the early morning single vehicle accident in san jose between flint and white road. that's the area that was closed. driver of an infinity lost control, struck two trees, rolled several times, came to rest on a third tree. the car hit the tree so hard, the engine was separated from the car. there were car parts strewn across the road. the driver had to be rescued from the infinity. that lasted about a half hour. the roof of the car also came off. this is a residential neighborhood. the accident happened in early morning hours when no one was walking or driving around. it is not clear if drugs or alcohol were involved. the driver was taken to a nearby trauma center. the condition is not known at this point. quite a scene, the engine separated from the car from the

>> reporter: good morning. wall street trying to end the week on a positive note. futures in the green. markets were lower wednesday. dow snapped a two day win streak, nasdaq hit a record high. reminder, markets only open a half day. dow was down 64 points. nasdaq rose four points to 6867. and data shows holiday shoppers spent more than 1.5 billion online as of yesterday evening, up nearly 17% from thanksgiving day last year. more shoppers turned up at stores, strong labor market, stroks in record highs are helping with consumer appetite. total holiday sales expected to rise 4%. uber set to discuss a massive data breach before going public with the details. they're trying to complete an investment deal with the

company. tuesday, they disclosed hackers stole data from 57 million drivers and customers, it also paid $100,000 to delete the data. back to you. >> mega, thank you. reporting live from cnbc world headquarters. thanksgiving heat wave, downtown l.a., 91 degrees yesterday. thousands of people went to the beach. previous high for thanksgiving 90 degrees, set back in 1903. november 26th. heat wave began wednesday, will ease up today. at least here in the north bay, we get micro climate. we get a little of everything. we get fog, then a nice temperature difference between inland spots and the coast. you can see mild weather. south bay, 60 degrees.

we have some low lying clouds and patchy fog in areas. tri-valley, 54, san francisco, 57. there's the golden gate bridge. you can see some fog early on. remember to be safe out there. low visibility can become an issue. for today's forecast, you can expect nice conditions. we will be climbing into the upper 60s and 70s. today will be your last for the most part dry day. tomorrow we expect to be dry most of the day. expect cloud cover to increase in the early morning hours. the reason is we have a storm system sitting off, that's going to spread starting from north bay to the south bay early or late saturday night into early sunday morning. if you look at this, long range outlook, you can zoom in on san jose. you can see that widespread rain expected, not just from north bay but the entire day sunday and even into early monday as

well. probably going to be a messy commute, not just sunday but monday as well. what you can expect, increase of breezy to windy conditions, looking towards the first weekend in december, if you have plans for next weekend, we have another shift in pattern. talking rain possible. and windy conditions again. so we are tracking a number of systems that will impact your weekend. rain makes its way in on the weekends. something else to look for, the snow forecast. dealing with snow saturday night and sunday morning, but high wind watch kicks in tomorrow bright and early. winds 30 to 40 plus miles per hour gusts in some areas. what to expect, mild temperatures through the weekend, then dry start and here comes wind and snow and rain returns to the entire bay area on sunday. good news, it is dry on the roads now. >> live it up. right now, great monday morning.

traffic shows you it is easy, doesn't take a degree in anything to know that would be the case after thanksgiving. we have that fog. patchy dense fog to napa, towards santa rosa. there may be issues. fog by the bay bridge, clear as far as number of cars. let's get a live look. you see fog drifting through here. same for that shot at the golden gate bridge. even the san mateo bridge. low clouds drifting through. back to the map systems, mass transit as well. bart has no delays. has a modified schedule. lighter flow expected. muni says we have a lot of shoppers, they're sticking to the normal schedule. special schedule for ferry system. and ac transit not running line 216 because of the holiday parade of lights. that will be the issue tonight in historic niles.

woman whose brand new gift cards were unusable. >> she reached out to the responds team for help and we saved her money. consumer investigator chris chmura is here to explain what we did. >> she bought four $100 visa gift cards. when she tried to activated them, got a message they had expired. so she called visa. they sent her four replacement cards. those cards didn't work either. they were also flagged expired, she said. so she gave up and asked visa for a refund. she waited two months, didn't hear a word, see a penny. that's when she asked us to help. we contacted visa, it contacted its gift card partner company. they refunded the $400. also gave her a $25 gift card for all of the hassle. they activated that and fedexed it to her so it should work fine.

patrolling, more officers looking for dangerous driving, and drunk drivers. chp in marin busted a couple people for drunk driving. you can call aaa, get a free ten mile tow and ride, even if not a aaa member. and there has been a deadly crash in the east bay. reminding everybody of dangers of driving under the influence. >> pete suratos is live at a growing memorial off highway 84 in livermore to get a look at that. how this young life was cut short. pete? >> reporter: good morning to you. unfortunate circumstances on the thanksgiving holiday weekend. you can see the memorial for the 16-year-old killed in a suspected drunk driving accident on stanley boulevard. this is a roadside memorial put up for her. she was killed wednesday night

before midnight of thanksgiving. show you where it took place. they say alcohol may have been a factor in the accident that killed the 16-year-old. she was a passenger in a blue suv when the suspected driver was speeding westbound on stanley boulevard near livermore, west off 84, and lost control, flipping multiple times before ending up on the railroad tracks we are standing not far from. the deceased teenager was partially ejected as a result of the accident. our crews spoke with a friend of that 16-year-old that set up that memorial and he had this to say. >> if you drink, don't get behind the wheel, call uber, taxi, walk, walk it off if anything. >> reporter: that suspected driver a 26-year-old woman. there were two more victims in the car, one at a local hospital recovering from injuries, but it is an unfortunate reminder to

good morning. it is 6:45. yes, it is friday. so far so good. we are tracking mild temperatures, dry weather for today. waking up in san francisco, 57 degrees. palo alto, 56, san jose already 60 degrees and it is only expected to get warmer. i'll track the temperatures and incoming rain in a bit. i'll try to track down some cars. bay bridge toll plaza. there's fog in the area. a word of caution. use regular beams, no high beams. new this morning, chaotic scene in a south bay neighborhood overnight where a driver lost control and smashed into several trees in san jose. this happened on tully road this morning. >> damian trujillo is live with what happened.

good morning. >> reporter: tully road is back open, but it was quite a scene earlier this morning. crews already left the scene, picked up all of the debris, rescued the driver from the vehicle. you should see the images. quite spectacular. driver was headed westbound when he lost control of his car, apparently hit two trees along the way. the car rolled several times before it came to rest on a third tree. impact was so severe the engine detached from the frame of the car. the driver was trapped in the car for some time, took emergency crews roughly a half hour to get him out. he was taken to a trauma center at regional medical center. we don't know his condition, and it is not clear if drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident. but that's certainly something investigators will be looking at. this is a residential neighborhood. it is fortunate this didn't happened during the day where

cars and people were on the street otherwise the consequences would be more severe. damian trujillo, "today in the bay." new video into the newsroom, showing a woman being rescued from subway tracks just moments before a train arrives at a station in melbourne. it shows the woman walking the tracks, attempting to climb to the platform. fortunately, three officers were nearby, they rushed in to save her, managed to pull her up with seconds to spare. it is not clear why she was on the tracks. video of some holiday cheer. police officers are pulling over drivers because they did something wrong usually. instead of giving citations on thanksgiving, drivers got something else. >> here's a pie for you today. want to encourage you to stop at stop signs, happy thanksgiving to you, man. all right? be good to your family.

pay attention to this pabar. santa rosa, napa, into the overnight hours. we have that system from the north bay through oakland, south bay. sunday at 5:00, san jose will be seeing rain, morgan hill seeing rain, and areas near the south will keep rain through the overnight hours. then what happens, we keep periods of on and off showers through monday morning as well. looks like we have remnant moisture. let's talk about the snow. sunday, we'll see snowfall. the thing that concerns us most, high wind watch, set for early tomorrow. let me show you why. breezy to windy conditions for the bay area picking up as early as saturday into sunday. san francisco, 15 miles per hour. livermore, 15. then it sideways between 18 and 20 miles per hour. look at the sierra time line. by saturday, talking 30, 40 plus miles per hour gusts, even sustained winds kick up 30, 35
