radar, but if i fast forward this rain outlook to future cast, look at the time bar up here, if you notice, right in the middle of that early morning commute on monday, we can expect the arrival of the first of now three systems, if i look as far ahead as saturday. now, if you look just behind this, if i fast forward this time line through about 10:30 p.m., we get widespread showers and then a band of heavy rain that really comes into play into monday night and into early tuesday morning. we'll keep the chances of rain as we head into wednesday. we'll get a little bit of a break from all that rain, but then we see the arrival of a second system, and that system is also expected to bring sierra snow to the mountains, especially to the higher elevation areas where you see these blue hues. this is the snow. now, all the way from santa rosa down through gilroy, that rain will linger through friday. all the way down towards san francisco, we'll also keep that sierra snow but if i fast forward through saturday, here goes a third system. so we're definitely expecting a very wet workweek ahead.
7:46 am
more snow is on the way, anticipated with that saturday outlook. estimated rain totals, that first system isn't expected to drop too much rain, anywhere between 0.5 inch to possibly 1 inch. but if i fast forward that timeline through friday and saturday, the north bay is definitely expecting over 1 inch of rain. we're going to have to keep a close eye on those burn scars. as far as squaw creek, lake tahoe, looks beautiful right now. definitely on the cold side, 23 degrees, but taking you through tuesday and wednesday, we'll see anywhere between 6 to twoepossi 12 inches of snow for the higher elevation areas. mostly 3 to 6 inches expected for elevations above 6,000 feet. look at the next seven days, here's a look at what you can expect. arrival of that first system as early as monday and that second system is expected to make its arrival on thursday, and then once again again saturday, we see a third system. so, don't wash your vehicles. get ready with the rain boots and of course bring out all of those umbrellas but enjoy today
