go through the day. we are still going to see some showers popping up and the potential of a few isolated thunderstorms maybe some small hail. that's what we have to watch for into tonight as we'll still have some rounds of rain moving through. i will have more of that coming up. mike starts out with a positive note for drivers. >> we had over night a car fire on the bay bridge. we had the all clear for lanes and you see this slow moving traffic. looking at the green censers around the bay. you will find those damp roads all around the bay and keep in mind, tractions maybe an issue on and off ramps especially. we'll take you down towards 152. we also had a crash for the last five hours. now, it has reopened, also in the last half hour all traffic

flowing in both directions. >> better news there. back to you. happening today, bart riders need to know about a big meeting of the south bay extension project. ba bart's board meets just a few hours. city leaders want a single tunnel which is much faster to construct. bart says it never had done that today. it is not sure the two sides, bart is meeting today at 7:00. president trump is talking about immigration and whether he will testify in the russia investigation. tracey potts is in washington with the latest. >> reporter: it is the biggest question in washington right now. will president trump testify in the russia investigation? >> you would do it under oath? >> absolutely. >> he said it could happen in

as we still glook at the radar. some chance moving into the bay area. some snow right now on mounta hamilt hamilton. to the north, there is lightning. there is still thunderstorms that's firing up to the north and i will have to watch out for that anthropologipossibility the into the north bay. high elevations of snow in the bay area. as we look at our rainfall totals, what we had so far. santa rosa of 3 quarters of an inch of rain. a quarter of an inch there in redwood city. 4/10 of an inch of rain in live moore. heyward is a quarter and san jose. we had decent rainfall totals in santa cruz mountains as well.

staying on the cool side where we reach to the low 50s. up to 58 degrees in san jose. getting dressed this morning is a day to have to wear the layers and also don't forget the umbrella. we talked a lot about the storm system yesterday. so even though it may not be raining now, don't forget that. you will get called into some of those scattered downpours. it is a good idea to have your jeans and boots because we still have a lot of puddles out there today. we'll see these little pockets of rain popping up on the radar that could bring in brief heavy downpours and small hail and a slight chance of lightning especially in the north bay. even as we go into the evening, still off and on rain and this does not taper off until later on tonight and we'll have a dry weekend. looking at the seven-day forecast, some upper 50s for the weekend for san francisco, a lot more sun here, this will be our

last chance of rain for quite a while. looks like for the in land areas, our temperatures start to get a boost up above into the low 60s for early next week. mike, you have been tracking, what's happening with the roads for wet conditions for drivers. >> slick road ways even if it is not actively raining. and so we are looking at road ways and possibly some rain, here looking at the map, i will show you these pink blobs, that's what kari is talking about of the chance of snow, just be careful. the freeway is moving well. one crash in oakland, southbound 880. someone is off of the road way right now, no major crash but we do have that being the factor. we are looking over the massive

mike is going to look at the morning commute and kari is going to look at our forecast. quickly approaching 5:00 right now. good morning. >> i am laurie garcia. >> i am marcus washington. >> another wet one. >> yeah, it is going to be wet off and on. not all day. we are going to see it popping up in spots as we go into the morning and afternoon. here is a look at what's left with the storm system as the more the widespread rain and the snow is still coming down just to the east of us. now, as we get a closer look, we can see some rain across parts of the east bay and the north bay right now as we get a closer look, we can see the rain moving to the east of 101. we are going to have chilly temperatures along with that, that's causing some light snow to fall on mount hamilton. here is how the rest of the day shapes up. we'll see some rain popping up
