nbc bay area political analyst larry gerston says this all leads back to the russia investigation. >> it's a crapshoot. the president is taking a shot. he thinks it's going to help him stave off the investigation. >> reporter: members of the president's own administration have voiced serious concerns about the memo. >> if the president releases this, he is basically telling the director of the fbi, the deputy attorney general, the person at the justice department who is overseeing this thing that you don't matter. >> reporter: sergio quintana, "today in the bay." at 4:35, union city police are looking for this man who they say has a diminished mental capacity. 35-year-old eric aiken is 6 feet tall, he was last seen wearing cutoff jeans without a shirt. he has been reported missing several times before. people who say corporate buses in san francisco do not mix plan to air their frustration in the morning commute today. a protest is planned in san francisco against the growing tech and bus phenomenon. those buses transport workers to

clear, a couple low lying clouds in the east bay, eventually we will welcome in high clouds and in san francisco right now it's at 54 degrees, a little chillier in the north bay at 47 degrees. overall, though, the temperature change not really a significant amount in terms of the drop. look at napa, a little bit of five degrees cooler but san jose we are a little warmer, san jose 1 degree warmer, sunnyvale 1 degree warmer, santa cruz 4 degrees warmer at this hour. the reason that we are still waking up to warmer temperatures is because we do still have that ridge of high pressure that has been warming us up and that's what's been keeping the bay area nice and dry as well. let's talk about those overall highs because i did say that we are going to be near record highs. look at the daytime highs for san jose, 76 degrees, east san jose also at about 76 degrees, 74 degrees for milpitas, east bay also into our low mid 70s for oakland, a high of 72 and your walnut creek 75 and the interior valley 73 degrees. now, along the peninsula you can

expect to see a little bit more of that cloud cover into the afternoon but eventually that will clear out nicely making way for another fairly warm night into tonight. daly city 72, check out san francisco, yes, those are 70s across the board. definitely going to be a great day to enjoy the outdoors, mission 74, embarcadero 74 degrees and for the north bay upper 70s in some spots like sonoma 76, santa rosa also expected to top out into the mid to upper 70s. let's look at the long range outlook because we have had this period of warm dry weather for the past couple of days and i want to show you what's been keeping us that way. as i mentioned this big h is that ridge of high pressure that's been sitting over the bay area and if you notice fast forwarding this timeline through february 9th it looks like those warmer temperatures are expected to stick around and then unfortunately no rain in sight for the next several days, possibly each the next ten days. we will have to look out in terms of the drought situation
4:49 am
and snow pack for sure. let's check in for mike for a look at the roads. those weeds in my garden are going to start dying. toward the rest of the roadway greener on the sensors. easy flow, the south bay the disabled vehicle is cleared from 101. over here this was the traffic alert was past tens, we are in recovery mode for westbound 80, that slowing shows up on our sensors but chp cleared it from the report. highway 4 a little slow in through el sobrante out of hercules. that's it for the slower drive down the east shore freeway. the travel time right now registers at 25 minutes because of that one slow section for about a mile there you will have brake lights tapping and recovery should clear up in the next few minutes. no problems through oakland toward the bay bridge and a live look out there shows you a smooth flow of traffic across the bay and bart that goes under the bay here is moving smoothly
