suspect substance but a death threat. scott, you're down below. what do you know so far? >> i'll tell you we're on campus where the law school is. normally very calm and kweechlt there's a helicopter directly above me. they're setting up what looks like a bit of a perimeter here to get the authorities to see what this is. we're told this is a white powder. we're told that part of the law school here has been shut down, so our access is a bit limited. we're talking about the new come building and that is in the law school. and michelle dauber who you mentioned, she's the one who received the death threat. she's a professor of law at stanford. you probably heard her name. she led the recall effort against judge persky, and we don't know if that's related to that. that's why you've heard professor dau ber's name in the

left her for dead or a rural stretch of tesla road. a driver spotted the victim. rushed her to the hospital where she later died. strong evidence was found at the crime scene. and we have new details about breaking details we brought you yesterday. ten students rushed to the hospital after'ding something. what we learned students consumed was cannabis. their system tom us were consistent with cannabis intoxication. a container labeled medical cannabis was taken. the students are okay. there are thousands of russian tweets linked to last year's meddling. twitter suspend fourth degree,000 accounts but that action automatically purges the messages. nbc, however, worked with sources at twitter to preserve those messages as evidence. the inflammatory notes including face stories of democrats

when you opened it, it had a white powder with that card. >> okay. michelle dauber, obviously a reference to the brock turner trial on campus where judge persky was presiding over. what did you do with that? were you affected in any way in terms of health related and houd did you turn it over to the proper authorities? >> i reached out to the stanford authorities and, of course, turned it over to them. and, you know, the recall campaign is not going to be intimidated. we're going to continue to stand with survivors even when we face these kinds of threats. judge persky's campaign unfortunately have been a lot of inappropriate yacht things. they called the campaign a mob and it's inappropriate and has unfortunately stirred up this kind of violence, rape, and death threat against the
