in the city this has become an unfortunate talking point. this is a new normal to a certain extent. today we heard from the hotel council of san francisco. it accounts for about 75%. they tell us the number of one complaint is how disgusting the streets are and often times it is followed up with a complaint that they won't come back. there is keclearly a financial impact. >> what is being done about this? >> today we had the opportunity to speak with two mayoral candidates who also happen to be supervisors. she tells us she thinks the number of street cleaners needs to be doubled bringing the number to about 600 as well as doubling the number of restrooms. so her focus is really about opening what are called safe injection sites where people

tonight and beyond. as you can see we are dry right now. once we hit tonight at 11:00 into about 2:00 a.m. we'll see clouds increase and also a few spotty showers right near the coastline. eventually by tomorrow morning you can see here at 7:30 we get the wet weather moving in. we are usually dealing with green on this map. take a look at the pink and the white. the pink is a rain-snow mix near middle town. the white is the possibility of snow. we may have snow there. i think the best chance would be in the north bay tomorrow morning with snow 500 to 1000 feet. overall totals as this wet weather moves in a trace of an inch to about .10. temperatures will be cold but not as cold as we have been dealing with. you'll see in the south bay down to 39 degrees.

peninsula also 39. trivalley a chilly 32. we'll have more early on tomorrow right here in the north bay. you need the heavier jacket in san francisco at 40. throughout tomorrow the wet weather will try to hang on right on down to the south bay it is right over towards the east bay. 56 in hayward. it is 55 in san mateo. looking at low to mid-50s and right throughout the north bay 57 in napa and 56 here. on the extended forecast we get that chance of low snow tomorrow and we'll also have a chance of scattered rain on thursday.

olympics. >> it is an ice rink? >> no. >> among the thousands of members, our very own, garvin thomas. >> reporter: you'll find venues like bthe bobsled track and the sky jump tower frm it doesn't host a single event. it is this one. it is the international broadcast center and it is huge. more than 500,000 square feet, working space for more than 6,000 journalists from around the world. you name it they are here. 24 hours a day for the entire olympics. this building is buzzing, broadcasting more than 4,000 hours of olympic coverage to every time zone in the world. this takes place in this building and the nbc thomas area

and for us the expert in gas and electric is pg&e. we run about 2,500/2,800 fire calls a year and on almost every one of those calls pg&e is responding to that call as well. and so when we show up to a fire and pg&e shows up with us it makes a tremendous team during a moment of crisis. i rely on them, the firefighters in this department rely on them, and so we have to practice safety everyday. utilizing pg&e's talent and expertise in that area trains our firefighters on the gas or electric aspect of a fire and when we have an emergency situation we are going to be much more skilled and prepared to mitigate that emergency for all concerned. the things we do every single day that puts ourselves in harm's way, and to have a partner that is so skilled at what they do is indispensable, and i couldn't ask for a better partner.
