about what she has learned about i.c.e. activity in the bay area. witnesses tell nbc bay area they've seen i.c.e. agents in several locations in napa. we obtained this video which shows i.c.e. agents taking a man in custody today. spoke bublicpublicly that opera were imminent. >> my understanding is that this is i.c.e. activity and it will be bay area wide. >> she explained she learned the information from multiple credible sources. >> this activity is from the civil side. these are not criminal investigations. >> she says she wants to inform undocumented immigrants about their rights and options available to them, not to cause panic. >> residents should know that they do not have an obligation to open their doors if an i.c.e. official knocks. >> works with an organization that handles rapid response to

immigration action. >> giving more phone calls from people concerned. >> the i.c.e. activity today comes as agents stepped up enforcement going to 77 businesses in northern california. a spokesperson for i.c.e. says they were unable to speculate about future enforcement operations. meanwhile she was asked if she was concerned about any allegations or instruction. >> i did seek counsel of what my options are in this situation. while i am very committed to being a law-abiding citizen, i am confident that i'm sharing this information because i did not receive the two official channels. >> now, she also mentioned today that she thought it was her ethical obligation to do so. and, issued a reminder that she said oakland police are under strict orders for i.c.e.

to team canada four years ago by doing the exact same thing to them, this time in a dramatic shootout and speaking of drama the finish in the women's team sprint in cross country stopped hearts everywhere and delivered team usa its first ever cross country gold medal. team usa victory in curling was another taste of bringing home gold in a sport that had never seen it before. perhaps the brightest spot in all of team usa was the snowboarders and skiers, shaun white, chloe kim topping that list with gold. one thing that won't be seen at the closing ceremony is the russian flag. there were thoughts the ioc may list their flag but after two russian athletes tested positive for doping during the games, the flag stays in place. garvin thomas. >> here is the final count. norway the powerhouse of these

police officers were called out to the 1100 block about 11:00 last night because of reports of shots fired. >> the scene has been cleared. allowed back in the home. but more than eight hours police were trying to get gut airs to surrender. they found the weapon, but guiterrez was gone. >> the police department. come out or pick up your phone. we need to talk to you. >> reporter: no trace of this man, 36-year-old jose guitierrez after police fired tear gas into his house this morning. then, with their guns drawn, officers attempted to make entry. but there was no one inside. >> it was a very crazy scene. >> reporter: terrified neighbors watched as police worked through the night to get guitierrez to

surrender. he shot off an assault-type weapon in his backyard on saturday night because he was angry about a loud party h happening next door. nobody was injured, but it did prompt this. >> what if something goes down and my daughter was like, close the door and don't do anything. >> reporter: he felt safe once police were on scene, but his bigger concern was what he considered an excessive use of force by police. >> wonder if it was something where it needed all of that. but with everything going on right now, i'm pretty sure that is not definitely unnecessary things to do. >> the 36-year-old guitierrez has a silver accord. his license place and anyone with information to contact menlo police department and the suspect is said to be armed and dangerous.

>> rain. >> we haven't seen much of it. we're about to see some come in. a change brings quite a bit of it for the second half of the week. take you outside right now. we're enjoying a beautiful sunday afternoon around the golden gate bridge. a lot of sunshine and a bit breezy this evening. and here's the view from emoriville and also 56 degrees and wind speed at 13 around dublin. temperatures also in the mid-50s. popular number around the bay area. little bit warmer in san jose. we're at 62 degrees and northwest wind at 15 miles per hour. breezy at times. i think you'll notice the winds picking up a little bit overnight as the fast-moving cold front drops in around the bay area for the morning commute. notice temperatures mostly in the 40s. the north bay could see upper 30s by 6:00 or 7:00 a.m. as the showers press on to the south bay. high temperatures tomorrow will be a little bit cooler. we're looking at mostly low to

mid-50s and northwest wind from o10 to 20 miles per hour. mid-50s into oakland and vallejo and mid-50s around the peninsula and cooler out near the coast where it will be gusty at times. winds up to 25 miles per hour. look at the wind speed in san francisco. bit more wind tomorrow and some rain for the morning ask scattered showers for the afternoon and highs in the north bay in the upper 50s. why we have the blue skies right now. the cloud shield. the outer fringe of this just now starting to drop into northern california. by 11:00 tonight, we'll begin to see the showers move in. the main event rain wise about 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. that's the early to mid-part of your morning commute. by 9:00 starting to move south of san jose. don't let your guard down. mid-day it will stop raining for most places, but with the cool air aloft and daytime heating around 2:00 will be scattered showers and possibly isolated thunder. freezing levels are close to 2,000 to 3,000 feet and small hail will be possible from

mid-afternoon and then as the sun sets, atmosphere begins to stabilize by 7:00 tomorrow evening. showers shut down. rainfall projections. not all that great. more than what we saw last week. most places picking up less than a quarter inch of rain. pretty fast-moving system. it is a colder system. not a lot of moisture to work with. for the sierra, expecting about a foot of snow. winter weather adviser for your travel into the high country. later this week a break on tuesday. watch what happens wednesday night and thursday there is your main event rain wise. friday another cool and showery day and more showers into saturday. the rainfall projection now gets very interesting as we set this up over the next seven days. as we add everything up with that late-week storm. check out the bay area and the purple and red. that will be one to two and a half inches of rain added up from wednesday night into saturday and for the sierra, we could be seeing three to five feet of snow. that is great news as we head into march. we'll see a bit of a pattern shift taking place.

now calling for the a new demand in the wake of the deadly shooting at a florida school. the parkland community is now calling for the suspension of the broward county sheriff. this comes after reports that three armed deputies didn't go inside the school. the department ignored warnings about shooter nikolas cruz. students and parents were back for orientation today and a lot of students have become activists pushing congress to pass gun control laws. >> we will all get through together and i know no matter how much we cry and what
