breaking news right now in nepal. that )s where a passenger plane has crashed and burst into flames. this happened at the international airport in kathmandu. new video this morning from the scene shows a frantic situation. it )s obvious the plane broke up on landing. so far there are no confirmed deaths. but a tourist-office minister says 25 passengers were rescued. this is a "u-s bangla" airlines jet arriving from bangladesh. 71 people were onboard. witnesses say the plane swerved on landing and that fire crews quickly put out the fire. now to the latest developments out of yountville this morning. as the community continues to mourn the loss of three women who dedicated

we )re going to stay on top of this developing story all morning long with live reports starting at 5 this morning. the today show will then pick up our coverage starting at 7. the husband and father of "jennifer gonzalez" will sit down for an interview. gonzales was seven months pregnant when she was killed. this week students and teachers across the bay area and the country are planning a walkout. this comes almost a month since the florida school shooting. the walk out is expected to happen wednesday. and it )s scheduled to last 17 minutes -- one minute for each of the students killed.

the goal is to pressure lawmakers into taking action on gun control. and also to honor the lives lost. happening today - members of a bart police review board meet to discuss a deadly police shooting in january. it happened near the west oakland bart station on january 3rd. body camera video shows the officer responding to gunfire .. and a violent confrontation on the sidewalk. police say the man shot and killed was reaching for a gun on the ground when the officer fired. today )s meeting will be held by a citizens ) review board. it )s scheduled for 4 p-m. continuing coverage now: a bay area fertility clinic is promising to fully investigate an equipment failure - that put frozen eggs and embryos in jeopardy. over the weekend - the )pacific fertility center ) in san francisco said it started contacting impacted patients. the facility tells the )associated press ) that the clinic has tested a few thawed eggs - and found that they (are still viable. at last check - they had not tested any embryos.

this follows an unrelated - but similar incident - at a cleveland clinic. the clinic says a malfunction there impacts at least 21-hundred frozen eggs and embryos. victims say they )re planning to sue - over a malfunction that led to frozen embryos thawing. we are now hearing from victims. one woman says - she will now never be able to have a biological child. here )s her advice to others - who have lost embryos. the )today show ) has the full the )today show ) has the full interview with this victim -- coming up at 7. coming up on today in the bay... twitter scores-- landing a deal to live stream major league soccer. details on how often you will be able to watch the matches. plus-- we )re really close to your next package being delivered by a drone.

and you put your lives on the line, you do have to surround yourself with experts. and for us the expert in gas and electric is pg&e. we run about 2,500/2,800 fire calls a year and on almost every one of those calls pg&e is responding to that call as well. and so when we show up to a fire and pg&e shows up with us it makes a tremendous team during a moment of crisis. i rely on them, the firefighters in this department rely on them, and so we have to practice safety everyday. utilizing pg&e's talent and expertise in that area trains our firefighters on the gas or electric aspect of a fire and when we have an emergency situation we are going to be much more skilled and prepared to mitigate that emergency for all concerned. the things we do every single day that puts ourselves in harm's way, and to have a partner that is so skilled at what they do is indispensable, and i couldn't ask for a better partner.

13 mexican immigrants are behind bars this morning after border patrol agents say they were found in a floating boat hundreds of feet from the california shoreline this weekend. u-s customs and border protection says the boat was spotted off the coast of la jolla saturday morning. border agents believe those aboard were attempting to enter the united states illegally. the united states coast guard transported the passengers, 12 men and one woman, to shore. rescuers say it looked like the boat )s engine wasn )t working and the people on board appeared to be paddling with makeshift oars.

today california attorney general xavier becerra will discuss what to expect when president trump visits california tomorrow. president trump will be in the golden state for the first time since becoming president. he )ll land in san diego tomorrw morning. mr. trump is checking out border wall prototypes. and the president will hold a fundraiser in beverly hills. president trump has a contentious relationship with california. last week, the justice department sued the state over its lack of enforcement of immigration laws. and mister trump has criticized judges for blocking his agenda. happening today: some state lawmakers are focusing on a backlog of untested rape kits in california. they say they )ll discuss proposals to try and fix that problem. today - lawmakers will also screen a new documentary focused on the nationwide backlog. more details now: there are over (13-thousand untested kits in california. that )s according to a group tht advocates legislation to address the issue. if you don )t know - a )rape k) contains evidence, critical in

sexual assault and rape cases. this morning: a new kind of toll is in the works for californians. a new proposal may mean you )ll have to pay - simply to drive to downtown san francisco. )the examiner ) reports: state legislation would allow local governments to create "congestion pricing programs." that means you )d have to pay a toll to drive to specific areas, like a city center. )the examiner ) says the bill s first hearing is tentatively scheduled for next monday. coming up on today in the bay-- nbc bay area responds.. but first happening now. the votes are being counted in cuba. parliamentary elections took place in cuba sunday before president raul castro steps down. it will be the first time in 60 years that the office will not be occupied by a member of the castro family. however, castro will keep his position as first secretary
