"today in the bay" continues right now. good morning and thanks for joining us. it is 6:00. i'm laura garcia. >> and i'm marcus washington. we will look at what's going on trafficwise and also the weather. i had a chance to emcee an event for the san jose alumni chapter, so they gave away scholarships to a lot of kids. congratulations to all those kids this morning getting up and heading to school. really great kids. >> getting up and heading to school right now it's dry so that's good. congratulations to all those students out there. well earned and deserved. we are expect to go see some changes to parents i will set you up nicely for your school day forecast. temperatures in the 40s and 50s. 55 degrees for san jose. over the next couple of hours i wanted to show you santa rosa because the north bay will be seeing the rain initially and we will start to notice that increase in cloud cover right around 12:00 so right around the

time the kids head out to bunch is when we will start to notice a shift and see the sunshine disappearing in the north bay. the rain is expected to move in earlier in santa rosa, 2:00, 3:00 probably by the time you pick up the kids for school we will see light showers, so important to keep that in mind. maybe take a little extra time because i know the lines get long as you pick up your kids from school. >> impatient parents. everybody watch out for the kids, please, and watch out for the rain. watching out for more crashes. this is our oakland cam ration it was completely clear and then some flashing lights right around your approach to high street and the off ramp just north of 66, a crash there distracts folks and slows them down from 66 to high street. a little farther up 29th on the southbound side reports of a crash there as well and that may still be in lanes. sky ranger may be heading up there. we will bring you live pictures if they find those. we do have a little slow down in that section of oakland heading up through downtown.

no major surprises but it is slower than it was a 15 minutes ago. slower for the east shore freeway coming off northbound 238 and westbound 580 and over way back at the altamonte pass we have your build toward livermore, but traffic very easy build so no major concerns. oakland two crashes, we will track those again. back to you guys. at 6:02 we begin with breaking news out of nepal. dozens of people are dead after a passenger plane crashed at the kathmandu airport. new video to show you this morning from the scene, in fact, shows that frantic situation after the crash. the plane broke up on landing. a police official says at least 38 people were killed, 23 others injured. 67 passengers and four crew members were on board. none of the passengers are from the united states. continuing coverage of the deadly hostage situation at the veterans home of california in yountville. we have been following this story closely since it started breakingno< friday morning. over the weekend we've learned

more about the three women that were killed, they are christine loeber, dr. jennifer golick and jennifer gonzales who was newly married and expecting a child. >> the gunman's brother is talking about what he says led albert wong to kill the three wemd and then take his own life. the brother of the former army infantryman tells the press democrat wong told family he was angry at the staff and wanted to get back at them. the paper says wong was mad after being asked to leave the pathway program. the staff reportedly discovered he had knives in his possession. his brother tells the paper wong did not say he wanted to hurt anyone, just said he wanted to get back at them and yell at them. for the first time we are hearing from a spokesperson for the pathway house program. the mayor of yountville is also talking about the tragedy. "today in the bay's" pete suratos is live in yountville with that part of the story. good morning, pete. >> reporter: good morning, marcus. as you mentioned right there you've got the mayor of yountville as well as a

spokesperson for the pathway home speaking about that deadly shooting that took place on friday. that shooting happened on friday but you still see this memorial set up werg remembering those three victims who passed away in that deadly shooting. in this interview that they did with the "today" show they talked about the purpose of the pathway home, how it's there to assist troops with mental health issues, specifically those coming back from iraq and afghanistan. now, i want to point out that program is privately funded but they do have a partnership in place with san francisco's va medical center. and the mayor says unlike other veteran program we hear about, this is very deeply tied into the local community. they are highly involved. you have organizations taking out some of the veterans to events or to outings such as bowling or fishing, but those three victims that we are talking about that passed a away served in capacities to help these troops get back on track. here is what both men had to say about the impact that they're leaving behind.

nbcbayarea.com. you can also download our free app for instant updates on that investigation. it is 6:05. developing this morning cellphone video to show you capturing the moment a charter helicopter crashed last night in new york's east river. sadly all five passengers died. emergency teams say the aircraft turned over under water and only the pilot managed to get free. so far the cause is under investigation, but the pilot gave a may day call and witnesses knew that aircraft was in trouble. >> may day, may day, may day. east river. engine failure. ujuu(áhp crash. >> we turned around. >> yeah. >> like we didn't hear until it hit the water and then we automatically knew something was wrong. >> the helicopter belongs to a sightseeing company that's popular with tourists. the passengers apparently could not free themselves while they were still trapped in upside down in that water. new this morning oakland firefighters quickly knocked down an industrial fire last night near the waterfront.

oakland fire posted a quick clip on social media. it happened at the is that knitser steel facility on embarcadero west a few blocks from jack london square. there were no reports of injuries. warriors head coach@ steve kerr will talk to bay area students about gun reform. bob redell is livejú÷ ini$?y.n. bob,!(%÷ what can we expect fro coach kerr today? >> reporter: good morning,6ed marcus. this afternoon ati-ñ newark memorialfhx ro khanna and steve kerr will host a town hall style discussion about gun reform. about 2,000 people from about seven local schools are expected to take part in this meeting. kerr and khanna came up with the idea after the two met following a warriors game in washington, d.c. kerr has talked about gun reform for years now. you might recall his father was assassinated while serving z the president of the american

university in beirut back when kerr was 18 years old. that town hall today starting at 3:45. overnight the white house released president trump's plan to make schools safe. the plan includes justice department training volunteer teachers to carry guns in schools. the president is also supporting an effort in congress to strengthen background checks. not quite the universal background checks the president seemed to support in discussions after the parkland shooting. the white house plans to expand mental health programs and allow protection orders to temporarily take guns from people who are deemed dangerous. he is leaving it up to each state on whether or not to raise the age lyezae)u to buy semi-automatic weapons until the age of 21. it will be up to the states. reporting live in newark, bob redell, "today in the bay." thank you so much, bob. >> gun sales have been growing in recent years in california. we are taking a closer look at sales in the bay area. according to the state justice department most guns are sold by

dealers. gun purchases have been increasing in every county in california putting the datayyp your screen now showing bay area gun sales between 2001 and 2015. santa clara county has the most sales at over 360,000, san francisco has the least with just over 18,000. 6:09. former oakland raider and san francisco 49er aldon smith is expected in court today to answer the domestic violence charges against him. smith turned himself in last week after police say that he beat his girlfriend in san francisco. following that arrest the oakland raiders released him. smith is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment, that hearing is scheduled for 1:30 this afternoon. neighbors say a small pet has been killed in that same area we've been telling you a mountain lion was recently spotted. neighbors last week reported the sighting on pescadero creek road. they say last night a neighbor heard a yelp after letting their small pet outside and the animal hasn't been seen since. theres no proof there was a

mountain lion attack but the county did send out an alert following that report. another reminder for hikers to watch your step. concord police had to help a man after a rattlesnake bit him on sunday. it happened at the lime ridge open space in the east bay. after the bite the hiker couldn't get himself down to the bottom of the hill. fire crews were able to get him to paramedics. they say always bring a phone, a friend and a first aid kit when you are out hiking. it is 6:10 a.m. right now. you may be able to get in some hiking within the next couple of hours before the rain moves in. our daytime highs are going to be very nice. we are talking 70s. san jose 73 degrees, east san jose 74, we can expect to see a bit of a shift in terms of the weather. now, the temperatures are going to remain the same, we are expecting warmer temperatures, but into the evening hours we are tracking incoming rain. so we will still keep the 60s, upper 60s for the peninsula, but if you notice we will keep the

rain in there. that's because even though it's dry right now that's all going to change and another thing that's going to change, too, these light winds will get a lot gustier into tonight and into early tomorrow morning. embarcadero a high of about 67, for the north bay also similar conditions. novato 69, sonoma 68 degrees and point reyes at 64. today is the biggest three key points will be the warmer temperatures, an increase in wind speeds and rain into this evening. now, the rain is expected to linger for several days because it's not just one storm but it's a couple. now let's send things over to mike. not just one storm. all right. looking over toward our shot from sky ranger, there are a couple chp vehicles and a couple cars blocking your fast lane and shoulder there. this is northbound 880 as you're coming up towards 66. i showed that to you from another angle. that's the roadway northbound 66 jams up as you're coming up towards the area. you can see the reverse angle

from the ground. looking over here at that flashing light section that i just showed you. that's causing a backup from 66 and now building up as you're coming up north of 98 you will start slowing down and see this backup north of the coliseum. that is the backup that sticks around for this morning. as you're heading up into downtown there is another crash on the southbound side which looks like it's cleared at 29th. that is the troublesome spot for the east bay. the bay bridge toll plaza does have a backup but you know about that when you expect it so slowing off of 580. fog over in the north bay and slowing builds up around heck lease for interstate 80 around highway 4. not a surprise. tri-valley and south bay typical build. back to you. coming up next on "today in the bay," the reason you might see a lot of helicopters flying over parts of the bay area this week. plus a deadly police shooting in the east bay. the call officers were responding to when that violent confrontation began. we got great economic news on friday and the party should rage on again today on wall street.

good morning. take a look at this shot over san francisco. it looks pretty beautiful. we have low lying clouds here, we've got fog along the golden gate bridge and, yes, i'm tracking rain, but i am keeping a close eye on the latest model run. we will talk timing, how long it's going to last and who is going to see the majority of the

rain coming up in just a bit. our view from sky ranger shows you the crash activity northbound 880. you see the lanes are flared off. left lanes coming up past 66 and high street. the back yuup extends through 9. a good monday to you. world markets were higher overnight as they reacted to america's good employment numbers. our own markets should move higher this morning on the open as well. tesla says it has halted production of the tesla model 3 a couple days last month. drop box no numbers there because that stock hasn't started trading yet, but most likely will this week after its ipo. on friday the labor department said 313,000 jobs were added to the american economy. the unemployment rate didn't move, 4.1%. it's been there for a while. now, it's not impossible to go lower than 4.1.

we were at 4% during the dot-com boom and even smaller numbers in the 1940s, but we were at war at the time. let's take you out live to the nation's capitol. the senate today will start loosening banking regulations. it was ten years ago today bear stearns nearly classed that led to new rules and now congress is weakening those rules. the "wall street journal" reports this morning that federal regulators will allow tests of these delivery drones, aren't these amazing to look at, yeah, the faa official told the journal this is all closer than skeptics think. i think this is going to be just an amazing sort of thing. remember that amazon is working on this, this is video from amazon, but google and other companies are working on the same thing and of course this is one more instance where we see the machines may at some point take over people's jobs. >> yeah, we're seeing a lot more of that. well, this is a sad one to report this morning, developing news that we have been following

for you, four oakland police officers being interviewed after they shot and killed a man who police say was armed. the incident unfolded last night outside a home on 40th street near market a few blocks west of the macarthur bart station. police and s.w.a.t. teams were called in after reports of a man with a gun. chairman of the oakland police commission went to the scene last night. he explains how police say the whole incident began. >> that individual is of caucasian male, he was armed and what happened was there was an individual who was -- by the scene noticed that there was a man on the ground with a gun and so he called 911. >> police have not released the name of the suspect. oakland police are planning to release more details later this morning. this week some people in the tri-valley will see and hear more helicopters. national guard aviation units are holding annual emergency incident training. it runs through next weekend at camp parks in dublin.

there are crews from california, oklahoma, arizona and colorado. it is 6:18 on your monday morning. weather and traffic together. oh, monday. >> we love you so. >> poor monday. >> and our missing hour it's technically 5:19 right now. >> don't fool people. >> you're right. literally it is 6:19. you know, don't get that wrong. if you're getting ready for work right now here is a look at what you can expect as you're heading out the door. 48 degrees in the tri-valley, peninsula 50 degrees and we were seeing some fog but that's starting to burn off quite nicely. as a matter of fact, san francisco has gotten clearer within the past couple of minutes, 49 degrees in san francisco and our microclimate highs for today will be rather warm. we're talking 60s and 70s across the board. 66 degrees for san francisco, san jose at 73 and, yes, we are tracking rain. remember i told you i had your back and i was looking at the latest model runs. here is what they're showing, by

4:30 we have showers moving into the north bay and also into parts of the south bay, the santa cruz mountains is expected to see some rain at about 3:00, but if i fast forward this timeline through 7:00, 8:00, we see this line of showers creating widespread rain and then we get a cold front that's going to move in overnight and that's what's going to bring moderate to heavy downpours in through tuesday morning. yes, rain early and changing to scattered showers by tuesday afternoon. but another big concern is going to be those wind speeds. we are expecting gusty conditions to start kicking up later tonight. 20 plus miles per hour and then we're tracking that storm system that's expected to bring, get this, over 60 inches of possible snow for the sierra this weekend. so we've got big changes ahead in the form of several storm systems and we're definitely going to see a lot of rain with temperatures dropping down by tomorrow, the reason for that is because that cold front is going to drop us down by about ten

degrees in some spots down in towards the 50s. let's get a check of the roads with mike. we will start with the rails. i just got word ace train has hit a vehicle. i'm not hearing about any injuries, all i know is that the train is stopped in the fremont area because of a vehicle strike. that's the detail that i have right now. ace train riders anywhere south of that fremont spot will be held up right now and we will get you more details as they come in. ten minute delay on the fremont line for bart as well. just a minor delay from what i understand. more delay for northbound 880 up toward 66 and high street where that crash blocks the fast lane. you will have to get around that. you can see on the freeway all lanes except for one are open. the rest of the bay looks all right. the bay bridge toll plaza there is a disabled vehicle getting cleared from the area, anywhere south of there is not a problem. coming up next on "today in the bay," a square on stage for a country superstar.

money from his homeowners association. nbc bay area responds to a san jose man who is due money from his homeowners association. >> but he says he couldn't get it until our responds team stepped in. consumer investigator chris chmura is here with the story. >> mashi had his monthly hoa dues deducted from his bank account automatically. he sold his condo in november of 2016, but in december of that year $374 in hoa dues were dee dungted from his account. he contacted the hoa but couldn't get a refund. this went on for months. he finally reached out to us for help. we contacted the hoa and it directed us to its bookkeeper na shade and associates. that company refunded him his $374. the bookkeeping service said it issued a refund in april of last year but had mailed it to the

have more rain in the forecast this week. right now at of 30 we are off to a foggy start across the bay area and we have more rain in the forecast this week. taking a live look from outside downtown san jose this morning. a very good monday morning to you and thanks so much for joining us, i'm laura garcia. >> and i'm marcus washington. right now we want to head over to vianey arana in for kari hall with a look at what's going on with the weather. >> we have mild temperatures as you make your way outside you will notice it's not too chilly. 40s and 50s right now san jose 51 degrees, san jose 54 and oakland at 48 degrees. your temperatures are looking okay. a quick look at that coastal fog, some spots are running a couple degrees warmer including livermore, seven degrees warmer at this hour. we are seeing a little fog out there but it's starting to burn

off as we head into the afternoon. one thing you will notice is an increase in cloud cover. if you notice in the icons we will go from a mostly clear sky, partly clear skies and eventually by 2:00 we start to notice the clouds dominating taking over the sun and yes our temperatures will be topping out quite nicely into those upper 60s and 70s and that cloud cover of course is ahead of that rain. you can see it by 4:00 we will start to notice showers in san jose. let's get a check of the roads with mike. we are looking at delays for transit system, the ace train is stopped between fremont and great america. we are told there was some kind of vehicle strike. we have 55 trains on time for bart, no more delay from the earlier issue. around the bay we are looking at a smooth drive, slow coming off the castro valley y. 880 recovers past the coliseum. there is a crash southbound 880

around mission boulevard, we also have sky ranger en route over toward the fremont area, we are going to follow the caltrain tracks down the area. you see on surface streets folks are starting to hit those surface streets heading toward the freeways. right now we're taking a live look this is from austin, texas, our nbc affiliate there showing this, this was a package explosion at a home. we do know that a teen boy has died, he died there at the scene and a woman taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. right now authorities as you can see on the scene there. we can't see much of what's going on but you can see those officers as well as the fire department there on the scene. i can tell you that a metro bus was there to evacuate those who live in that area as well, evacuate them from the area as that investigation continues. we will continue to follow this here on "today in the bay" as well as you can get that information online nbcbayarea.com. continuing coverage now of that deadly shooting at the

veterans home of california in yountvil yountville. the press democrat is reporting this morning the gunman's brother says the former army infantryman had told the family he was angry with the staff and he wanted to get back at them. his brother says he had been kicked out of the program serving vets with ptsd because he had knives. over the weekend we learned more about the three women killed in that hostage situation. one was newly married and expecting a child. our pete suratos is live in yountville this morning with another brand-new angle to this story this morning. a very emotional interview that we heard with the husband and the woman's father as well. pete? >> reporter: that's right, laura. that new interview that's going to air on the "today" show after this was with the husband and father of dr. jennifer gonzales, she was one of the three victims killed in that pathway home shooting this past friday. this is a memorial we've been showing our viewers all morning long. you see this candlelight

memorial set up for the victims that passed away as a result of the shooting. as for jennifer groz less, she was 29 years old, worked as a clinical psychologist with the san francisco department of veterans affairs. friends described her as a caring person. as i mentioned, on the "today" show her husband and father spoke to the program about her unexpected loss. here is what they had to say. >> we had so much ahead of us. we are expecting our first child in june. she was doing what she loved to do. >> with her last breath she would want to help these -- these folks. albert wong, she was trying to help him until the end. >> reporter: now, a friend of gonzales told ap that she was set to fly to washington, d.c. this past weekend for her one-year wedding anniversary and there are therapists on site to help those who survive this

hostage situation and this shooting that took place on friday. as you can imagine it's going to be emotional days ahead for all of those in in community in yountville. live in yountville, pete suratos for "today in the bay." we're going to stay on top of this developing story all morning long. the "today" show will also pick up our coverage starting at 7:00. you can see the full interview with the husband and father of jennifer gonzales. 6:35. this week students and teachers across the bay area and country are planning to walk out. this comes almost a month since the florida school shooting. that walkout is expected to happen on wednesday and it's scheduled to last 17 minutes. one minute for each of those students killed. the goal is to pressure lawmakers into taking action on gun control and also honor the lives lost. new this morning and only on nbc bay area, if you have a teenager chances are they know someone who vapes or uses e-cigarettes. they may see kids at school using them which is in violation

of most district's tobacco free policies. kris sanchez joins us with a look at the morgan hill school district. good morning, kris. >> reporter: teenagers the same all across the bay area, all around the bay area, too, laura. vapes or vap risers these cigarettes are gotten so small and concealable that some students are even vaping in class. you do have to be 21 years old or older in california to buy any one of these devices and yet these are some of the vapes confiscated from students in the morgan hill school district. the district's resource officer held a presentation for teachers and staff and showed them these devices that look like thumb drives or styluses. officer brandon tells us some students were charging them in class telling teachers there were chargers for their cell phones and some of the students were blowing vapor height rind their teachers backs. >> it dissipates so quickly by

the time the teacher turns around it's gone. there's very little odor, there's -- so it's not like a regular cigarette or marijuana joint where it's very obvious and the smell lasts for a long time. >> reporter: you may have seen some of these tobacco free california public service announcements on tv and social media with real teens talking about why they vape. as we reported to you last week a recent ucsf study found cancer causing chemicals in the bodies of teenagers who use these cigarettes even in harmless sounding flavors like bubble gum and gummy bear. officer brandon's advice for parents, talk with your teenagers about the health consequences of vaping. some of them are even getting nicotine poisoning. watch for their purchases, especially online where they can lie about their age and use a prepaid credit card to buy. don't expect that telltale sign of smell of tobacco. the officer says don't be afraid

to go through your kids things because you are not going to get the smell as you would with a traditional cigarette. look for chargers with circular ports. even parents we are sophisticated enough to know there are in cell phones with circular chargers. i will post all of this on twitter and facebook so you can have a conversation with the teen in your life as well. in morgan hill, kris sanchez, "today in the bay." >> some useful advice. kris. thanks so much. continuing coverage now a bay area fertility clinic is promising to fully investigate an equipment failure that put frozen eggs and embryos in jeopardy. the pacific fertility center in san francisco said it started contacting impacted patients. the facility tells the associated press that the clinic has tested a few thawed eggs and found that they are still viable. last check they had not tested any embryos. this follows an unrelated but similar incident at a cleveland clinic. the clinic says a malfunction there impacted at least 2,100

frozen eggs and embryos. we are now hearing from the victims, one woman says that she will now never be able to have a biological child. here is her advice to others who have lost embryos. >> i would say you are not alone and there's plenty of foster children out there and children that need to be adopted that they can become your own child and that's -- that's what we're hoping for in the future. >> the "today" show has a full interview with that victim that comes up right after "today in the bay" at 7:00. it's 6:39. happening today, crews begin work renovating a south bay cal trains station. the sunnyvale station rehabilitation project will relocate a pedestrian crossing. the move will allow for more car trains to load and unload. most of the work will be done during the day. it's expected to wrap up sometime this fall. but right now cal trains

i know this weekend we got lucky and that storm system stayed off to the south and just as we forecasted the majority of that rain really never made it to the bay area. we saw very light showers late saturday into sunday. well, this next system that we are looking ahead to on saturday unfortunately is looking a lot more promising and a lot stronger than the last. saturday's forecast we are expecting that storm system to move in on friday, that's going to carry over into saturday. if you notice the temperature drop. we are in the 60s and 70s today. as we head into the weekend we get a cold front that will drop us down into the 50s. we will top out in the upper 50s as we head into the weekend. bay, inland coast expecting showers to linger through our sunday fun day. >> we will find something to do indoors. coming up next on "today in the bay," the controversial plan to reduce traffic in the bay area. the proposal local leaders are considering that would charge drivers to enter busy downtown

sun come up. we have this beautiful shot overlooking downtown san jose as we begin to wake up the city this morning. our temperature trend already showcasing that rain moving in. we will start to see increasing cloud cover by about 2:00 and, yes, that's rain by about 3:00 or 4:00 we will start noticing showers, i will talk about how long this rain is going to stick around coming up in just a bit. we have more slowing for the east bay, although we have some crashes clearing upper east shore freeway still 24 minutes from highway 4 to the bay bridge toll plaza which looks like this, yeah, the fog is clearing, but the roadway is not. quarter to 7:00, new this morning all lanes open again on interstate 880 after an early morning problem brought traffic to a standstill. it started with a downed power line during construction near the 23rd avenue off ramp before 4:00 a.m. that problem prompted a full closure in both directions. all lanes reopened within about

90 minutes. since that time mike inouye has been reporting on two crashes in that same area causing other backups. this morning a new kind of toll is in the works for californians. a new proposal may mean you will have to pay simply to drive to downtown san francisco. the examiner reports state legislation would allow local governments to create congestion pricing programs. that means you have to pay a toll to drive to specific areas. the specific areas like city center. the examiner says that bill's first hearing is tentatively scheduled for next monday. 6:46. governor brown just sent president trump a letter. >> scott mcgrew, our governor reminder mr. trump of what previous presidents have said about our state. >> good morning, a letter reminding president trump that previous presidents have been very positive about california. this comes a day before mr. trump is going to come to california for himself as the first time as president. our governor brown said in california we are focusing on bridges not walls. and that's more than just a figure of speech.

brown also reminds mr. trump that the president wants to see more high speed rail and that's something we've been building. mean while, in washington the white house will reveal its plans on gun control today. you remember mr. trump sat down with members of congress and both parties were surprised when he supported gun control. but now the president is backing off some of those ideas including raising the minimum age to buy a gun. a few moments ago he tweeted the politics were interfering with his own desire to raise the minimum age. not much political support he says to put it mildly. i will remind you on february 28th the president said nd i'm quoting this isn't a popular thing to say in terms of the ira, but i'm going to say it anyway, you have to wait until 21 to buy a handgun, you can buy the kind of weapon used in a school shooting used at 18 doesn't make sense. the white house will announce funds today to train and arm teachers. secretary of education betsy

nice right now it's almost feeling a bit calm and we are seeing the fog clear out, but the clouds will roll in and the temperatures are expected to top out into the 60s and, yes, some 70s on the map for today. look at this nice shot of san francisco. we have those clouds in the sky. no rain right now, but the system is on its way. the temperatures are in the 40s and 50s, mild in san jose at 54 degrees. 51 degrees for san francisco and your microclimate highs for today we will be topping out quite nicely in the upper 60s for san francisco, 66 in oakland at about 70 degrees. now, if you notice out on the outlook i have put rain and wind and that's because we are going to start noticing the wind and right behind that wind will come the rain. so monday by about 5:00 so this is tonight look at the north bay, the north bay starts seeing showers but then if you notice we will start getting showers in the south bay as well. between 7:00 and 8:00 that's when that line of showers really starts to move in and we will get periods of moderate to heavy downpours.

now, overnight we've got a cold front sweeping in that will kick up winds and bring heavier downpours through the early morning commute. changing to scattered showers by the afternoon, as we head into wednesday we have got another system. how windy are we expecting to get? winds will be between 20 and 30 miles per hour into tomorrow morning as well and then we've got several systems on the way. so this initial system will have higher totals to the north and as we look ahead towards friday, saturday we've got another system coming in and that's going to bring some low snow levels which means more snow for the sierra. yes, that you see right there is 60 inches possible for twin bridges and possibly 40 plus inches even in areas at about 4,000 feet. we will track isolated thunderstorms for next saturday, but get ready for9t8ñ that rain= lots of changes ahead. over here we are looking at some slow downs on the roadway and the build, that's the change for the south bay. that's expected for san jose pretty much on schedule. over here this map shows us all
