4:45 am
but that is rain. we're tracking that this morning. >> you will be dancing around those rain drops today, right? >> trying to duck and dodge that. >> we're going to see that rain off and on. we're not seeing everywhere, but we all do see the remnants of that rain. it's been pretty soggy here. i want to show you exactly where storm ranger is tracking it because we do have it parked on san bruno mountain, it's our mobile doppler radar, we can see that red beam there. i want to take you right into san francisco. we can see the rain happening around the bay view district, here is one little cell right there on 280 so that's going to affect your drive. i'm going to take off storm ranger and show you what the national weather service radar is showing you and it's a few minutes behind and showing that the rain is still just off to the west and it hasn't even made it to the bay view district. so i want to let you know that it has made it just a little bit farther to the east. heads up as you get ready to head out the door. we are also seeing a very high
4:46 am
resolution view of the rain happening in richmond and also just north of vallejo. so it's been very hit or miss and that's what we are going to see as we go throughout the day. this little impulse that's just offshore is actually forcing this cold air to rise and we know from basic science that warm air likes to rise, but when cold air rises, we start to get these showers and also these little pops of thunderstorms and even some small hail. that will be possible throughout the day and the next couple days as our weather stays unsettled as this big area of low pressure expands all across the region. this will not get out of here until saturday. so this is the way it looks for your day, we're going to start to see some more showers developing by late morning, early afternoon and it's just going to be hit or miss all over the place. then we're going to have some chances of rain in the forecast until about this evening and then things quiet down. all clear tonight, we start out tomorrow morning with some mostly clear skies, but another
4:47 am
round of rain will be here by late morning and tomorrow afternoon. the rain continues until friday and even saturday, but then by saturday afternoon that's when the rain clears, sunday is also looking dry and then there may be another storm system right behind that for early next week. so really the only completely dry day in our forecast is sunday, but you won't see the rain the entire time. we will be tracking all of these little disturbances as they move through with storm ranger and also our high resolution computer model so keep checking back in. mike, you're tracking two crashes on the roads now. >> that's right. i also was tracking that rain because our systems are tied together. we're looking over here that rain showing up anywhere san francisco and north of there. we will remove that layer now and we're showing you the green highlighting which shows you where it's going to be a little wetter on the roadways. damp pretty much everywhere because of the leftovers, it's called water on the road. 24 does have a crash, west 24 at

fish ranch road, sounds like everything is off to the right shoulder, but the rim of the tire of one of those cars is stuck in the guardrail so they will have to remove that. no lanes reported blocked. we don't soo nebraska slowing as you're heading past the caldecott. the better news for the second crash is that has cleared from the incident report, no i think maar injuries reported for that person that was in the roadway for a few minutes at least and traffic is flowing with no lanes blocked out of the altamonte corridor. more traffic through the dublin interchange. no weather related delays or any delays at all for bart, the ferry systems or golden gate and capitol corridor. the bay bridge toll plaza has a few folks waiting in crash lanes, the roadway just got washed off there so there is still a sheen, will be slick at times, watch those off ramps. even that spider we had is clear. oh, we have active rain falling as well. so we're watching that. >> don't you be taking kari's job. the very first lawsuit has
4:49 am
been filed against a san francisco fertility clinic where hundreds of frozen eggs and embryos may have been damaged and this morning there is a push to turn that claim into a class action lawsuit. the mercury news is reporting that a woman is suing pacific fertility center for damages due to negligence and breach of contract. the law firm representing the woman claims at least 400 people were affected after a storage tank at the facility may have malfunctioned. the problem was discovered by the clinic earlier this month. a similar incident happened at a cleveland fertility clinic right around the same time. it's being said there is a lot to be done to fix healthcare in california but the single payer health plan is not one of our options at least for right now according to a new state report. a panel of lawmakers has been studying the state's healthcare system and recommends a ra variety of ways to eliminate healthcare costs but finds a government run system will take years to develop. a single payer system will

merchant said it was no longer honoring the grew upon deal so she asked for two-thirds of what she paid. she thought that was share. instead grew upon gave her a $30 credit so she asked us to help her get the rest of what she thought grew upon owed her. we contacted groupon and it refunded sheila the remaining $27. they didn't respond to our questions about what happened. sheila had to pay up front and we hear from a lot of consumers like her who pay retailers in advance for services but later struggle to get refunds. so our advice is simple, try at least to negotiate a pay as you go plan. that way the provider has to deliver to get your money. if you have a consumer complaint, call us, 888-996-tips, or nbcbayarea.com/responds. it's been almost a year since a former cal rugby player's life changed in a matter of a second.
