for joining us. i )m marcus washington. good morning on this wednesday morning, 4:30 for you as we take a live look at san francisco. hump day. half way through the workweek. good morning and thanks for joining us. i'm marcus washington, and i'm kris sanchez in for laura today. a look at the forecast. we know there has been a trend. talking about it all week and want to say, rain is coming for sure. >> it is. you're going to notice it more today. especially because an increase of clk coud cover. don't worry. the rain doesn't make it in tomorrow morning. temperatures in 40s and 50s. 52 in hayward also in san francisco. really, it's been kind of mild to start, but our temperature

trend shows another nice climb once again into those upper 50s and 60s. i'll talk more about your daytime highs and the impending storm. right now over to mike. >> on the map, a tiny dip in speeds down to about 50 miles per hour. that is the worst we see as far as speeds go. approaching the bay bridge, easy drive through the east short way and the north bay. no problems northbound with taillights. heading towards auto mall and over here, 101 on the peninsula. easy flow. very light through palo alto, and headlights from palo alto all the way into france. send it over to you. >> thank you, mike. now to a story rattling the bay area this morning and the tech giants in silicon valley. new details following the shooting spree at youtube head

quarterhea headquarters. >> we just learned youtube canceled all meetings for today. no word whether the company will even open the doors. several law enforcement sources confirm this is 39-year-old nasim aghdam in youtube videos. in one video she said youtube discriminated. she complained youtube placed and age restriction on one of her workout videos saying they were too racy. her car towed away last night from the scene. exclusive video of that. early yesterday morning mountain view police confirm they found her asleep in a car in the parking lot here in the bay area, but her family in riverside county down in san diego reportedly says they warned mountain view police she might do something at youtube but told police there was nothing they could do. >> i know they're just the nicest persian people i've ever met. i mean, that's al i know.

>> and around lunchtime yesterday she opened fire on the youtube campus wounding three people before then killing herself. >> as we've been mentioning, the suspect wounded three people. a man and two women. >> those survivors are being treated at san francisco general hospital. "today in the bay's" terry mcsceny has more on how they're doing and a trauma surgeon speaking out is making headlines as well. >> reporter: in addition to the gunshot victims, a fourth victim injured as hundreds rushed to exits trying to escape the gunfire. words of healing from the ceo of parenty google. i know a lot of you are in shock. over the coming days we will continue to pry support to accept everyone heal from this unimaginable tragedy. youtube's communications director reached out with this message. >> today it feels like the entire community of youtube and all of the employees were

ahead of the arrival of the atmospheric river we're tracking, and we've been tracking this all week long. daytime highs for the open, 67 degrees. san jose 73. san francisco 63 and santa rosa 70 degrees. another thing we will notice heading towards the later portion of this week is also a decrease in temperatures. i want to show you what's going on. show you our doppler radar. you can see moisture developing far off to the north. more near portland and this you see just off the coast. that's that at atmospheric river, the tropical moisture. the timeline, still on tap to see the majority of that rainfall make it's arrival a little earlier. looking like thursday possibly at 7:00 p.m. with earlier showers developing in the north bay early on thursday. the big, main event is still expected for friday. all day widespread rain expected for friday. that rain will carry over into saturday. models are in inagreement as far as rain totals.

could receive up to three inches of rainfall especially for the areas in the north bay and possibly even for san francisco up to two inches of rainfall. as far as rain totals, that's still a little up in the air, but storm ranger right now is currently up and scanning in our parking lot again. we'll move that up to a better location once the storm system makes its arrival. a look at the next seven days. heavy rain friday, friday into saturday, the arrival of a cold front. that's going to kick up the winds. talking about gusty conditions possibly 40-plus mile-per-hour gusts. go ahead and send things over. looks like mike is tracking a crash? >> single crash, vianey. marked off 580. we'll look. first, look at the green speed sensors. a great drive now and should continue with the spring break pattern as far as lighter traffic goes, but over here just off castro valley boulevard and five canyons a crash. looks like it might be right by the freeway, by the overpass but not affecting 580 itself.

you shouldn't even see the flashing lights. track that the next couple of minutes. meanwhile, 580 way over here out of the altamont, no big deal by the time you get in towards livermore. construction cleared. down to the south county, a nice, easy drive. no problems. even the live cameras in the north bay. back to you. it is 4:48. new this morning, incoming storms have water resource workers running ouch optit of o. the rain at lake orville could bring that water level up to a triggering level. if so, workers may have to u.s. yao the partially rebuilt spillway at the oroville dam. remember last year that spillway crumbled forcing nearly 200,000 people to evacuate their homes. 4:48. in the city of san francisco, now joining several states to sue the trump administration over census.
