highs in the mid-60s, cooler where we should be for the end of april. as we head through the forecast, it will be a little bit more cloudy for the weekend and i'll talk about where we can see rain coming up. mike, you're already tracking what's happening on the bridges. >> i am, kari. we showed the san mateo bridge and i'm focusing on the bay bridge. the speed sensors all around the bay, at speed pretty much. across the treasure island towards bay bridge i heard about a disabled vehicle. it is over. north and south korea have agreed to stop )all hostile acts. ) the countries never signed a peace treaty after fighting stopped in 1953. but overnight - "kim jong un" and south korea )s president signed a treaty - following their historic meeting. it calls for quote )peace, prosperity, and unification )

. good morning, live at cnbc global headquarters, wall street could have a mixed open. dow futures are off 40 points but nasdaq is in positive territory. stocks rallied with the stock jumping 42 points and cheering positive earnings from facebook and amd today. a report on consumer sentiment and first glance at first quarter gdp.

yesterday the dow closed up 238 points and nasdaq rose 114. amazon is the stock to watch today. the onhin reline retailers profit beat wall street at forecast that's on continued surge in online shopping. the stock up sharply in pre-market trading. that's added about $8 billion to ceo jeff bezos network. amazon is raising the cost for prime membership from $99 to $119 a year for new members. people who renew prime membership after june 16th will have to pay the new price. amazon hasn't increased fees since 2014. how much will americans spend on mom this year? the national retail federation projects mother's day spending will top $23 billion. 86 million plans plan to spend $180, that's a little lower than

we're going to have cool temperatures as we start out on this friday. here's another live look outside. we had clouds rolling in. that's going to become a pretty common sight this weekend. we're now at 56 degrees in san francisco and 52 as you head out in san jose, we're in the low 50s in the north bay. 47 now in santa rosa. as we go to martinez for today, looking at our temperature trend that will be in the mid-50s, 60 degrees at 11:00 and some mid-60s today. we will get some sunshine once again as we look at all of our high temperatures, upper 50s for the coast and upper 60s for the inland areas and for the bay and san jose, 68 degrees and 66 today. check out the 7-day forecast at the bottom of the screen. slight rain chances for the bay area but not rain for the whole weekend. so as we're getting dressed this morning, you do need something nice and warm. it's casual friday, right? maybe a hoody and jeans and good

day for staying warm as well. i want to show you all of the storms that fired up over the sierra yesterday, and these were mainly dry thunderstorms, dry lightning because it didn't get much rain. and this disturbance is moving closer to us as it continues to draw in a little bit more moisture with a slight chance of spotty showers but mainly for north bay, there could be some along the coast. into the day on saturday, there will be a slight chance of rain moving through, mainly cloudy skies and a few sprinkles. if you're going to petaluma parade tomorrow, highs in the low 60s and there will be a slight chance of rain. and we're going to continue to track the weekend forecast. more on that in a few minutes. mike, it's friday. >> it is. that means friday light but it is also 4:49 so that's 4:49 light around the bay. a good drive behind me. the altamont pass, there's a little less slowing, orange instead of the red. we don't see as much traffic

coming in out of the al at a monday pass. no problems down or from gilroy. over here the 17 summit, nice drive as well. show you the golden gate bridge, actually it was a little darker earlier and they were doing electrical work on the north end of marin county side. up towards the robin williams tunnel, be prepared for crews to be out there for another half hour or so. at oakland we have a lot of traffic flowing. it's nice now and tomorrow crowds around oracle lending support for the warriors next round starting tomorrow. back to you. >> 4:54. marijuana farmers across the state say they can't get into california's new can nnabis marketplace. >> liz wagner shows what went wrong. >> reporter: good morning, we reviewed state records and found a fraction of pot farmers across

california applied for permits to grow legally. since january when the new law kicked in, 8% of estimated growers in california have tried to get state licenses. to get a better idea what pot farmers are up against, we went to the epicenter of cannabis cultivation. he says he can't afford to bring his property up to code, could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. with weed prices plummeting the investment just doesn't pay off. he's still growing pot but doing it on the black market where people can make more money selling to out of state buyers, the planning department fines unpermitted growers and expects to send out 500 violation letters by the summer. we brought all all of this to the chief of cannabis control and she's worried about the market and they are tweaking the rules for growers to get in the legal market. our full investigation is online right now and you can check it
