real. >> the fiery crash could be soon for miles. >> highway 21 zbuflstream road a military jet crashed. >> thick black smoke billowing near savannah, georgia's airport. >> there were no cars hit in this crash. it is an absolute miracle. at that time of day and that intersection. >> reporter: the c-130 hercules plane from the 136th airlift wing out of puerto rico took off around 11:30 this morning bound for arizona. eyewitnesses say its nose shot up shortly after takeoff before it came crashing down. james levine says his car was just 25 yards away. >> looked like it was stalling out. and it started just freefalling backwards and crashed in the middle of 21 and there was a huge ball of fire and a huge explosion. >> it's been a particularly deadly period for military aviation. in the first week of april here in the united states three crashes left seven people. investigators are trying to find out what caused this crash.

but so far few answers. the puerto rico national guard says this plane had been decommissioned and had been undergoing maintence and repairs here for the past month. frans? >> all rit, gabe, thank you. a traffic camera in arizona caught the final moments of a small plane crash in scottsdale that killed six people. you can see the lights of the aircraft starting on the right side of the screen then quickly moving to the left. the plane then makes a rapid descent before the lights disappear and seconds later an explosion. the crash happened last month but police just released this video. stay tuned. president trump says three americans currently debated in north korea could soon be free. 9 detainees have been held captive for months. detainee tony kim's son tweeted "we look forward to all the families being reunited very soon." the trump administration had pressed for their release ahead of his potential summit with kim jong un. janis mackey-frayer is in beijing with the very latest.
