liable for the president. first as you note in the senate piece, the president filed a financial disclosure form, in which he did not disclose this loan for michael cohen. this could be a campaign finance violation, because michael cohen loned the president money. >> that has to be disclosed. finally the president and michael cohen agreed to secretly structure payments to stormy daniels. >> that could be a violation of the laws, including bank and wire peraud. >> it's a political problem. it's what rudy guiliani said directly contradicts what the president said. guiliani saying, yeah, he paid him back, he knew all about it. president trump is on tape saying i don't know anything about this. >> reporter: i think there are bigger problems here, first, obviously, the president did not tell the truth when he said to the reporters, he knew nothing about these payments. the second is, we have learned there is more than the $130,000 paid to michael cohen. some $470,000 michael cohen

received. what was that other money paid for? are there other shoes to drop? other people to pay off? these are bigger issues michael cohen and the president will have to explain in the coming days. also this morning, investigators are trying to figure out what caused a military plane with nine people on board to suddenly crash on to a busy highway in georgia the final moments seen in a chilling new video. nbc news' gabe gutierrez is at the scene of this good morning. >> reporter: hoda, this plane came crashing down on this busy highway. all nine people on board confirmed dead. authorities say it is a miracle that no one on the ground was seriously injured. this morning after this inferno, investigators are trying to pin point what caused the military aircraft to plummet to the ground. you can see the plane crashing in this under surveillance video. >> it went all the way on its back, flat on its back and went down to the ground, boom. >> reporter: flames from the

58 people were killed, hundreds injured. police were ordered to release body cam ideas after news organizations went to court. >> we believe the release of the graphic footage will further traumatize a wounded community. for that we apologize. >> a few weeks ago, mancz lay bay released images of paddock at the hotel during the week leading up to the shooting. he could be seen gradually bringing suitcase after suitcase to his room. mandalay bay's owner, stephen paddock says he gave no indication of what he planned to do. his behavior was normal. paddock's motive remains a mystery after the worst mass shooting in modern u.s. history. police say there is no footage from the officer who breached paddock's door, his camera was never activated. it's unclear why that's the case the sheriff expects to release the next batch of records in two

during the transplant. are you the nurse that takes care of him post open. >> being able to do all the care necessary and becoming best friends within the first hours is always what's so important to me. finn's body was put through a shock, but kate and the family's heart was put through a shock. >> reporter: once the transplant is over, it's a nerve racking waiting game then? >> it's a marathon waiting game. >> how important was nurse amanda's role in that time? >> that was huge. there was a lot to do as far as stabilizeing him. i remember that day, i don't think i went to the bathroom or ate or drank anything you know for over 12 hours straight, just continuously working to stabilize him. >> i know you love it, she's loud, right? >> yes. >> what do you mean by that many. >> i, myself, like to be an advocate for people and in that moment, it was one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. so she came in that room and basically became my voice and took on that role of protecting

good morning, everyone. welcome. i'm megyn kelly. we have so many headlines to get to. first, turns out, donald trump may be in legal trouble. you know porn star stormy daniels is claiming she had an affair with mr. trump, right, back in 2006. the president denies it. ms. daniels was prepared to go public with her claims a week before the presidential election. mr. trump's lawyer, a man named michael cohen, paid her $130,000 to stay quiet. now, when the deal became public earlier this year, both mr. trump and his lawyer, mr. cohen, claimed trump knew nothing about it. that this was all a cohen deal.
