temperatures. it's like afternoon. >> i know. we're in the 60s and we haven't hit the official 7:30 hour. usually around 7:30 we start warming up. look how clear san francisco looks. we are talking about sunny skies. beautiful conditions just in time for mother's day weekend. look at the current temperatures across the board. 54 for palo alto. your 24-hour temperature change, running several degrees warmer at this hour in areas like sunnyvale, 12 degrees warmer. napa above ten degrees at this hour. we are expecting seasonably warmer temperatures into the afternoon and dry conditions. we do have just a couple of minor changes that could impact your mother's day forecast. i'm going to break all of that down and have a look at your allergy pollen report. >> all right.

i will try to not be biased. it's 7:00 right now. to the crisis in paradise. president trump declared the hawaii volcano eruption a disaster. federal money will help communities impacted. you can see from this new video that the lava is still flowing. the volcano started erupting more than a week ago. so far, 27 homes are destroyed and there is the potential for a larger scale eruption. new details about a gas station mixup in san ramon where there was diesel gas flowing from the regular pump. you know that will really mess up your car. chevron is responding this morning. it happened at the chevron station at san ramon valley boulevard in crow canyon last weekend. they got 30 reports from customers saying their cars stopped working. it can severely damage your engine. but it can typically be fixed.

you have to flush out your tank immediately. >> careless on behalf of the chevron gas station. i think they need to pay more attention. that could cause severe damage to the cars. >> chevron confirmed reports from customers saying in a statement, we stopped sales immediately when it was discovered. we apologize to anyone who may have been impacted by this matter and are taking all appropriate measures to address any complications. the gas station says the problem at the pump is fixed. sfo is looking to hike fees for uber and lyft drivers at the airport as part of a plan to ease congestion. o a spokesperson says the amount of the hike is up in the air. but it will go into affect in july. uber tells us we value our partnership with sfo and support their efforts to create a great experience for travellers. however, the proposed fee increase goes against the consumer friendly approach and will not help reduce congestion

at the airport. if you have been a patient of san francisco's health system, you may get a letter in the mail telling you your medical records were compromised. we have the details. >> it took agents a few months to figure out how patients' records were compromised. none of the records were accessed here in san francisco. instead, it happened at a tra transcription company in boston. >> an employee of that service got unauthorized access to their medical personal information. we notified our patients that that happened. >> nearly 900 records were accessed. it includes people seen at san francisco general and laguna honda hospitals. other hospitals were also affected. they have not said why a now former employee of the transcription company accessed thousands of patients' records. >> the good news and what we want to make sure our patients understand is that there is no

evidence that this information was put to any use at all. it wasn't sold or used in any manner. all of the data has been recovered. >> the data that was accessed included names, dates of birth, medical record numbers and diagnosis and treatment information. morgan hill be on alert. police are investigating an attempted kidnapping. a 15-year-old boy says he was walking home from school on thursday afternoon when a man approached him from behind and grabbed him. the boy says he fought off his attacker and ran to a nearby relative's house for help. a devastated family of this man is pleading for help from the public. his family shared these pictures of him with us. he was killed by a hit and run driver. his family is hoping someone saw something. he was hit last friday night along highway 4 in discovery bay. his sister is asking witnesses to call police. >> we need people out there to

have hearts and just go out of their way to do something good to give us closure. >> the chp says what you should be looking for is a toyota sequoia, perhaps a tundra with a broken right headlight and damage to the front of the car. this is not your average getaway vehicle. police are investigating an attack and robbery in san francisco that involves a getaway scooter. it happened wednesday evening in chinatown. that's where two men approached the victim, attacked him, grabbed his bag and then they fled on two nearby scooters. police say the victim is okay. the suspects have not been caught. an east bay high school student facing federal charges after hacking into a school computer and changing his classmates' grades. it's a story we brought you thursday at 11:00. yesterday we got a look at the family's surveillance camera which captured a team of police and federal agents raiding that

teenager's home. the 16-year-old altered grades of more than a dozen fellow students. the boy's father agrees his son should be opinipunished but he this might have been overkill. >> change the grades for college. but not for him. other than that, he didn't do anything. he doesn't have any criminal record. >> i didn't mean to do all this type of commotion. >> that was the teenager in his own words. as for the school, they say that that teenager is suspended until wednesday. a follow-up now to a frightening accident at heritage high school. that where a student was hit in the head by a shot put on thursday. the teenager's father says his son is home and is doing okay. he was airlifted to the hospital where he got three staples in the back of his hetd. they are heavy.

it's 7:09. that's the finish line of the 5k race that kicks off at 9:00 this morning. it's one of the many going on around the bay area. this one raises money for local schools in willow glen. a san jose high school senior reprimanded for a social media post that she says officials told her were too sexy for school. she has been disenrolled from

high school weeks before graduation. this is her instagram page. you can see her in workout gear. some photos you won't see show her in her underwear. officials did ask her to take down the posts which violated rules. she's protesting that decision and started this petition to help her get reenrolled at the school. she says her posts were meant to inspire others and herself on their fitness goals. we reached out to the school. officials have not gotten back to us. a frightening scene in oakland where two people were hurt after this deck collapsed. skyranger was overhead. you can see there's a hole in it. yesterday afternoon this happened at a home about a block away from mills college. firefighters tweeted this picture from their vantage point. we don't know the extent of the injuries at this point. a warehouse fire trial will move forward 18 months after the deadly blaze. a judge denied a motion to

california values senator dianne feinstein it's 7:14 right now. we are looking at a live picture out our window in san francisco. a beautiful day to be in the city, really anywhere around the bay area. it's in the 60s already in san francisco. we will talk about that in a little bit. kicked off a plane because of her odor. a united passenger on a plane bound for san francisco is claiming she was treated unfairly. now she's taking legal action. this reportedly happened on a flight from houston to san francisco. the nigerian woman says she was asked to leave the plane after an altercation with another passenger who said she smelled p pungent and wasn't comfortable flying with her. united says they are unable to comment on pending litigation.

time ago. more than two dozen people in the east bay found that out the hard way. the chevron near san ramon valley road made a serious mistake and it led to a lot of cars just not working anymore. now chevron is responding. >> reporter: around 30 people were filling up at this chevron, reaching for the regular, but it was diesel coming through the pump. >> that's crazy. i have never heard of anything like that. >> reporter: the drivers complained online after getting gas on saturday, may 5th. their cars stopped working. now they have rising mechanic bills. tonight, chevron explains confirming the reports from customers saying in a statement, a third party carrier accidentally introduced diesel into the supply of regular gasoline. we stopped sales immediately when it was discovered. we apologize to anyone who may have been impacted by this matter and are taking all appropriate measures to address any complications. >> careless on behalf of the

our summer camp is going to focus on a lot of the everyday shelter things we deal with. they will play with little guys like poppy and some kittens as well. they will learn about some of our veterinary procedures. do you have anything to add? >> yeah. they learn how to care for animals. they can volunteer. this is a good opportunity for any kid between the age 9 and 13 to join us. >> that's young. a lot of times when you are dealing with volunteering at a shelter, you can't get through the door with a kid that is 9. >> that's really good. >> i know you did something similar over spring break. the kids, how did they respond? >> they really enjoyed it. a lot are coming back. they will be joining us in summer camp. >> poppy is looking like she wants to go back with you. she's available for adoption. she's about 14 weeks old. she's through the bonding stage
