san francisco. i'll have more on that in a few minutes and mike has a traffic alert. >> chp has just declassified that and moved it down towards the clear zone. we're looking at the most of the bay, the easy flow of traffic, the red zone -- see the red sensors and the earlier traffic alert just cleared from the chp report. thgs t as we see it flowing from elle char ro and easing up towards the dublin interchange, ten minutes away as you travel through that zone. more traffic heading across the country for highway 84 and should even out lighter volume around the bay. hayward and rest of your commute towards the bay bridge toll plaza where you have the metering lights on but the morning commute holds up. >> we have breaking international news overnight. a deadly shooting in belgium. a gunman killed three people, two of them police officers. happened in the belgium city of liege. the video showing the aftermath,

obviously worries about terrorism. one state broadcaster says that's the case though authorities won't confirm a motive. it happened near a cafe, two officers died and person in a passing car also died. local officials say the attacker disarmed police used their own weapons against them. the gunman left the cafe, took a cleaning woman hostage at the nearby school and officials eventually shot and killed him. all of the kids at the school are safe. >> it is 6:02. you might have trouble getting your coffee fix later this afternoon. starbucks closing more than 8,000 stores this afternoon so employees can go through mandatory racial bias and sensitivity training in response to violent video showing two black men being arrested at the starbucks in philadelphia. pete suratos live in walnut creek at the starbucks that will close later this afternoon. what sort of changes should people say there or will it be shut doors? >> good morning to you, that

will be the media change if they were to arrive at the starbucks, it will be closed. the one we're standing on at wall nut creek, starbucks saying they'll be closed for the afterfoon forethis racial bias training or sensitivity training whatever you want to call it by starbucks this morning in response to the incident that took place in philadelphia back in april. as far as specifics on this, 8,000 locations are going to close this afternoon with roughly 175 thousand employees taking part in this training that will address implicit bias, promote conscious inclusion and hopefully prevent discrimination in future cases. triggered by the incident at the philadelphia starbucks when you had two 23-year-old blackmen arrested at the starbucks after a white manager called police on them as they waited for a business associate.

police were called to the situation. the two men did settle with the city of philadelphia for symbolic $1 each as well as a promise from the city to set up $200,000 program for young enelectric pe entrepreneurs, they did reach an undin closed financial settlement with starbucks as well. we've talked to kuflt customers the way starbucks has handled the situation including first customer you'll hear from who says he encountered racial discrimination in the pasta starbucks. >> i think this is great. i commend starbucks for taking that action. i hope that this helps move america forward and in terms of race relations. >> i think it's great. everybody needs to know what's going on. i think everybody needs to be educated regarding that incident what happened. >> bringing it to life. we start addressing a situation and realize there was mistakes made and they should probably

francisco police officers will voice their anger over the city's recent decision not to file charges. one of the shootings made a lot of headlines whether it happened in 2015. this is video one officer shot and killed mario woods in the bay view. woods was armed with a knife at the time. the second incident in 2016 also involved a man police had say knife. an attorney announced he with not press charges. today opponents will gather at noon at the hall of justice. have you noticed a different on b.a.r.t.? a lot of passengers talking about b.a.r.t.'s new push to clear out the homeless and drug user s b.a.r.t. recently vowed o ramp up efforts to keep loiters out. too many people ended up passed out in hallways. b.a.r.t. staff and even police telling loiters, you've got to move around.

at 7:05. we'll be at 62 degrees, it's going to be breezy and clear and as we look at all of our high temperatures for today, we've got a wide range in temperatures from the south bay into the south county and upper 80s, up to 75 in oakland and antioch will reach up to 90 degrees and some mid-60s for half moon bay. 80 in palo alto. san francisco, 65 and outer sunset and 72 in the mission district. and the coastal north bay will be up to 67 while sonoma will reach up to 84 degrees. strong area of high pressure moves off towards the east and allows for our ocean breeze to come back tomorrow and it means morning clouds and fog. highs in the low 70s but that does clear in time for the weekend. we'll be back in the 80s by saturday. mike giving me the thumb's up. >> things are a lot better after that crash, cleared from the tri-valley. we're looking at the lighter volume and we're starting to see a little slowing right here

wheel? >> reporter: it was a 13-year-old driver behind the wheel that crashed that stolen car. san jose police tell us they were not pursuing that vehicle but they did know it was stolen and did have officers on the lookout for the crash before it crashed there. they were not chasing it when it crashed nearly head on into a white ford. and then also crashed into a light pole on the sidewalk. the 13-year-old driver was trapped for a moment in the car then freed and then taken into custody. a 13-year-old victim is now in the hospital with life threatening injuries and several other teenagers are also hurt. of the driver of that other vehicle, an adult person also injured. the crash happened in front of bridges academy in charter school at the franklin-mckinley school district. it is all clear so there should be no impact at dropoffs this morning. just yesterday, our colleague bob redell was reporting on a santa clara county district

including two police officers after a shooting and hostage situation in belgium. it happened in the belgium city of liege. two officers died and person in a passing car also died. police say the gunman run away from the scene and took a cleaning woman hostage at the nearby school. officers eventually shot and killed that gunman. all of the kids at the school are safe. investigators are still trying to figure out whether it was terror-represented. >> in san jose, police say a 13-year-old driving a stolen car which smashed head-on into another car and hit a light pole, at least five teens are hurt. it happened in fronts of the bridges academy. a charter school in the franklin-mckinley school district. it's all cleaned up now. should be no impact to drop-offs this morning. >> another protest planned for the school district tonight. there have been a lot of protests recently. teachers and parents and students will rally in support of the superintendent there. they claim there have been attempts to oust her. district officials and school
