we are exactly six months away from the end of the year. starting next year it has to change for people getting a divorce. this is huge if you were thinking about splitting up. since the beginning of time the person paying alamony doesn't have to count it. the person getting the alamony does. starting next year the person paying has to pay tax and the person receiving it doesn't. that is a huge change in your financial situation. i talked with my favorite lawyer
