today. looking at highs for the south bay, up to 88 degrees, 95 in concord and 92 in napa. san francisco coming down just a couple of degrees from yesterday. we'll talk about a bigger cooldown in the forecast. vianey has an early look at the morning commute. >> we haven't even major accidents. the roads are better and highways areover recg after the big celebration yesterday in oakland. i'm sure all of the oakland residents are happy. a quick look at the bay bridge, i did see in slowing here. looks like there might a minor fender bender which means somebody came up a little bit too fast and hopefully they can move that over to the side so there's no buildu the next half hour or so, still no metering lights just yet. as of now we're doing pretty good in the traffic department. let's hope it stays that way for a wednesday. it gets better heading into friday though. back to you. >> thank you so much. breaking news, the bay area already in world cop soccer frenzy. the bay area may host the world

>> reporter: good morning, to you, l and marcus, this is a story of a son who tried to save his elderly father from the fire here in walnut creek. we're here in the 700 block of mandarin lane, you're looking at the two-story home that burned down. the fire started around 12:45 this morning. fire protection district three adults inside, a man and elderly parents when firefighters arrived, the son and his mom had gotten out. they were here on the front lawn. the son also tried to save his father asleep in the upstairs bedroom. all three had been asleep according to the fire department. firefighters were a t get the father out of the house but sadly he did not survive. that son and his mom were taken to the hospital for cuts and smoke inhalation. this was a two-alarm fire and the fire department says they had it knocked down in 30 minutes. one of the biggest obstacles were the solar panels on the roof. it made difficult to cut through the roof and vent the fire. the house is a loss.

as jogger joe. expected to answer charges lat this morning. you know how tough housing is right now in silicon valley? mountain view churches are answering the call to pvi uniq sanctuary for those involved. launching a new pilot program, it's called lots of love. the lots they are referring to are parking lots. the goal here is to secure safe parking spots in mountain view at those churches so that homeless people don't have to park on the street. local leaders say they really hope this cuts down on the number of cars people live in on busy city streets. >> means 100 peopl who aren't out on the street. safer for them, ps them in touch with the help they need and frankly, i think it's going to be well received byneighborh little tired of folks out there for other homes in the businesses. >> the churches will also provide access to restrooms and running water. that program starts next month.

vianey, you've been tracking the morning commute. first part ofex ek what's going on right now? >> it's been quiet so far, but just as i was about to come out here for thereport, i did see this accident pop up along 101 and ran back very quickly to check what it was. it appears it may be involving a couple of vehicles, a mini van looks to be blocking one of the lanes. so we could start seeing slowing on the northbound side along 101 right near the los altos area. i'll keep a closer eye on that. the rest of theay area is looking pretty good. the south bay drive times moving 101, eight minutes and 5, 25mitm in san jose 101, traffic seems to be going by pretty smoothly. i'll send it back to you. >> 4:48, continuing coverage of these wildfires burning in colorado. this morning we know that it covers 91 acres. hundreds of ppllready ecuated a
