another car might have been involved. >> reporter: good morning. the california highway patrol thinks this fatal accident might be a hit-and-run. it happened a couple yards behind me on ramp northbound 880 around 1:00 this morning not far from the airport. the motorcyclist traveling very fast, well over the speed limit, failed to negotiate the turn onto the freeway, crashed into the median on the on ramp. the man and his bike ended up in the middle of northbound 880. chp believes another vehicle might have hit the man because there's other debris not from the motorcycle. law enforcement isn't sure what killed the motorcyclist, if it was the initial crash or the ac. ive here in san jose,nd 880 bob redell, "today in the bay." >> it thank you. it is 4:33 right now. san francisco making history again. london breed continues her victory at her alma mater. she's the first black woman to

be elected mayor in san francisco. breed made it official yesterday. >> whether you voted for me or not as mayor, i will be your mayor, too. >> breed told supporters on the steps of city hall, mark leno conceded. still more votes left to be counted but leno says the math is not in his favor. breed will finish out late mayor ed lee's term, which is 17 months. she says she has a lot to prove. >> london breed is kind of like barack obama, it's powerful for symbolic purposes but when it comes to nuts and bolts, kitchen table issues she's got to issue. >> she's expected to lay out her mayoral plan this morning. happening dane san fis we're expected officer-involved hooting whi pople. chasing him through north beach last weekend. this video shows just how busy that area was at the time of the

shooting. the suspect survived and no one else was injured. we could find out why police were chaseing that suspect during a town hall discussion. also happening today, it's a story which probably shocked you. the san francisco woman accused of killing her roommate and putting her body parts in storage containers is expected in court. now, police arrested lisa gonzalez two weeks ago. investigators say she was trying to force her roommate to move out of their mission district apartment and killed her during a heated argument. they say that she useddismember. gonzalez has not entered a plea. >> our next story sounds like a script out of a courtroom tv show. investigators say a san francisco man on trial for robbery tried to tamper with the jury. investigators say he looked up two jurors online, then went to their homes to talk to them. here is the san mateo d.a. >> he went there. there was nobody answering the

door because the only person inside was the juror's teenager daughter who was in the shower. then he went around the side of the house and he's peeking in the window when she suddenly saw him. >> then he said he went to another house. the person was not home as well so he left a note. after finding out, the judge declared a mistrial. he faces new charges for tampering and peeping. he's in jail now. >> 4:35, happening today in our nation's capital, congressional baseball returns. you may remember it's been one year since that shooting happened during republican lawmaker's practice. representative steve scalise was injured there. he was back on the field yesterday practicing. >> definitely come a long way but had a lot of prayers, a lot of support, a lot of surgery. you know, just to know where i was a year ago and where i am now, it shows you, you know, you just get back in the game and keep battling. >> two police officers shot and

good morning, i'm landon dowdy live at cnbc headquarters. here is today's top business headlines. wall street will try to bounce back from yesterday's losses. the dow with the lowest day in two weeks after federal reserve raised interest rates. that was expected but signaled two more hikes likely this year, the economy, highemp 22,201, nasdaq to 7695. meanwhile microsoft working on technology to eliminate checkout lines from stores. it's developing systems to track what shoppers have in their carts, talked to walmart about a possible partnership. it would be a challenge to amazon's automated convenience stores, amazon go. ranked behind amazon in selling cloud services that are key to running e-commerce sites. apple closing security gap that

>> at six flags i don't think i ever jumped on one. >> did something happen? >> i don't know. >> we went to great america just a couple days ago, warm, thou.blin some very light fog. overall the drivers can see the road. as we goday, we'll get some clearing after starting out with a few clouds here and there. morning commute through fremont starts us out with temperatures in the upper 50s. we'll be at 58 degrees at about 7:00, and then 63 at 10:00. you'll notice a lot more sunshine noontime all clear and 68 degrees. here is a look at our highs for today. reaching 83 degrees in milpitas, los gatos, 85. for the east bay 88 degrees. it's still going to be hot in antioch but not as hot as it has been in hayward 75 degrees and 71 degrees in san mateo. in san francisco, we'll keep it in the 60s today. still windy, morning clouds and fog. novato today reaching up to 83

degrees, 85 in napa. getting dressed this morning it's still going to be a warm day. wear light short sleeves and shorts today. also sandals ande f you. you may still need a light jacket as you head out early in the morning but you'll be shedding layers as it warms up fast. an update on the tropical system heading to cabo. earlier it was a hurricane. this has weakened to a tropical storm. right now wind speeds at 45 miles an hour. this will continue on to quickly move off to the north and actually bring in beneficial rain for parts of the desert southwest. as we look at what's happening here, nothing but all clear, dry weather. it will be much cooler heading into friday as well as the weekend. father's day is looking really nice. 79 inland and then it does heat up again early next week by tuesday. for san francisco morning clouds and fog will be clearing it out as we head into the afternoon.

vianey, anything happening? major issues on the road? >> you've got clear skies and i've got fairly clear roads so far. we managed to stay fairly quiet. look at the bay area, speed sensors all looking green, which means we're not seeingnyse of t coming in from tracy from the 205 heading to 580 we are seeing some slowing. i checked chp reports and there doesn't seem to be any major accidents. i think it's maybe just someone might be pulled over off to the side maybe people checking that out along the road. bridge drive times 480 towards richmond bridge, 8 minutes. 80 towards bay bridge 8 minutes. all bridge times looking good. san jose 101, both sides more commuters out there but so far so good on the roads. i'll send it back to you. >> thanks vianey. 4:48. >> new this morning, breaking their silence former usc students talking exclusively to

trails near los gatos, a look at temperatures. it's going to be at 58 at 7:00. at 10:00 sunshine. 68. it will be warming up fast. warm at 2:00, 80 degrees and breezy winds start to pick up. high temperatures inland reach into the upper 80s with low- to mid-60s for the coast. more on that cooldown in just a few minutes and vianey has a look at the morning commute. >> as we start inching closer to the later part of the 5:00 hour when it really starts to get busy, i am starting to notice a couple more slow spots out ther aside from that we've managed to stay fairly clear in terms of major accidents out there. i do want to give you a look at south bay drive times. if you're heading early, perfect time to get started from highway 85, 18 minutes. northbound 280 from highway 101 towards highway 85, only 7 minutes. this is definitely the time to hit the road to beat the traffic, although you might not
