>> it's breezy in san jose right now. we're also seeing cloud cover. this is another shot in san jose. the wind speeds are about 15 miles an hour. we are seeing a bit of a trough there. the leaves and trees moving back and forth because of a light breeze. current temperatures right now in san francisco 58 degrees. mountainview 52, oakland 57. i do have good news on the tail end of those clouds. we have a bit of a marine layer going. this is going to help keep our temperatures nice and cool. a lot of that cloud cover is expected to stick around through mid-morning and our temperatures will be sticking to the 70s for today. no 80s and no 90s.

>> many people woke up to quite a mess in the east bay this morning. not one but two water main breaks had neighbors scrambling to keep their homes from being damaged. the first one happened in the 1700 block of newel avenue and walnut creek. two to three inches turned the streets into small rivers and lakes. the flooding on newel avenue is starting to cause a sinkhole as well the second water main break happened on nearby walnut avenue. this just west of the city's downtown area. the immediate areas around the streets are closed as crews and neighbors continue to clean up the damage. >> you're looking at a backup at san jose international that had people exhausted and angry. some people say they waited four hours to get through customs

last night. what was the problem? it was international travelers who said they waited that long. a viewer sent us pictures and videos of long lines with upset passengers. some waiting for wheelchairs, others say they didn't have enough food for babies and children. others told us their missed their domestic connection by hours as well. >> craziness. it was inexcusable. our daughter came to pick us up three hours ago. she waited in the cell phone lot and we told her to go back home. we just called her to have her pick us up. >> the airline tells us at times there can be a perfect storm like this with some flights coming in late and some coming in early. >> a drag queen vicious beaten. we want to warn you some of the images from after the attack may

be disturbing. ginger snap was not dressed in drag last saturday when he left the eagle around 10. he said he was walking home when he turned down bernese and someone attacked him. he made it home when he went to the hospital and needed six stitches in his head. his attacker did not rob him. he said he doesn't remember what his attacker looked like but he believes whoever assaulted him targeted hem because he had just come out of a gay bar. >> i think it was more of a hate crime and i'm calling it a g's t a gay crime because i just came out of a gay bar. >> he's urging people to walk in groups and be aware of their surroundings. >> now to a developing story, california's right to die law is now back in effect.

late last night we learned a state appeals court has reinstated the law. it allows terminally ill people to end their lives. last month a judge ruled the law unconstitutional saying lawmakers did not follow proper procedures. the california's attorney general has fought to keep the law in place during legal challenges. >> the fbi is calling it a corporate conspiracy. our cameras were there as elizabeth holmes and the former operating chief officers walked out of san jose. both were indicted. they say the two ran a campaign of misinformation claiming with just a few drops of blood their technology could detect diseases but milw balwani is claiming he

they're sending a message through a petition, nearly 19,000 people. here's the concern. visitors can dive into a pool of sprinkles at the museum. but they say when people leave the museum, the plastic sprinkles stick to their shoes and clothes and end in the storm drain. they say it's an environmental hazard. >> ride them and share them. now the company that started the program is going dockless. what's unique about these? after you ride one, you can leave them anywhere. ford gobike said it was planning on a dockless system long before other companies hopped on the trend. you can find bike by using the app. a 30-minute ride will cost you $2.

right now we've got a niece marine layer hugging the coastline. now, that is expected to burn off quite nicely, revealing a much sunnier afternoon. let's check out some of those comfortable daytime temperatures. 76 is your predicted high. heading over towards the east bay, concord sits a little warmer at about 77. so the interior valleys will be in the upper 70s. no 80s in sight. we're expected to keep a bit of a cooling trend before we see a warmup. if you're heading in toward san francisco, temperatures will be quite comfortable into the 60s. santa rosa about 74 degrees. and now if you're heading out to lake tahoe, this is a nice shot. it's beautiful and clear, temperatures expected to be in the 70s. but we do have a bit of a low drop that could bring drizzle to

parts of the bay area and a chance to see storms sunday night into monday. if you're heading out tonight to be there in the morning, no issues. half moon bay only climbing into the upper 50s. if you notice by the icons, we keep a lot. if you're heading out toward the almeida count oo fair today in pleasantton, 76 degrees by 2:00. this takes place from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. it runs through july 8th. this is the first weekend that i believe that it's open. i want to talk about some of the drizzle that will roll in. we've got a bit of a low. we're seeing a bit of precipitation starting to form into the overnight hours tonight into sunday morning. this is more than a drizzle effect. light precipitation along the

for the afternoon. right now notice the cameras shaking a bit. we're seeing some breezy conditions out there. current temperatures not too bad. san jose at about 57 degrees, palo alto 54, san francisco at 58. let's take a look at some of that cloud cover. we've got some nice marine layer cloud cover. some spots near santa rosa, san francisco and let's talk about that low that's dropping in because, as i mentioned, there is a chance of seeing some drizzle develop into night, carrying over into sunday morning. fremont might get some of that drizzle. as we head into the early morning hours at about 4:30, this looks a lot heavier than it will actually be, i'm thinking about the combination of light rain heading in, but we will be seeing deepening cloud cover.

don't be surprised if you notice it's going to be pretty cloudy as we head into tomorrow. we're kind of going to be sticking around. at least our temperatures will be cooler heading into today thanks to a nice cooling trend. san jose 76 degrees, east san jose 77. some of our warmer temperatures at antioch around 78, concord 77. so definitely below seasonable for this time of year. half moon bay 59 degrees. the beaches will keep a lot of that cloud cover with breezy conditions. if you're going to be out near point reyes, we're expecting breezier conditions this afternoon. if you're heading out to kirkwood, this is a nice gorgeous shot of lake tahoe. clear conditions now at about 42 degrees. because we've got that low dropping in tonight into tomorrow, the conditions in lake tahoe are expected to change with the possibility of receiving rain heading into
