off. >> we had any slowing that was going on. clear up right around treasure island. this is a typical pattern. so there you go. no more slowing. a light flow of traffic. we will see a little bit of slowing. a little more build here. just a bit for the upper east shore freeway. back to you. the fbi says the attack was planned for downtown cleveland,

ohio. at least one person was arrested. we know there was a news conference scheduled. as soon as we get more information we'll tell you all about it. in san -- we did some checking overnight. it is to keep people out of the street. >> reporter: no reports of injuries. you can see what's left of the shop and the clubhouse. crews are still on scene.

the fire is completely out. here is video from earlier this morning. call came in and quickly spread to a second alarm. it is still early on. we don't know what sparked the fire or where it began. this is the western edge of golden gate park. water pressure is low in this part of the city which means crews had to use trucks to get water up this hill. >> we have a hydrant here. those of you looking to come out to the park know that it will be closed today.

today in the bay. >> that would be the golden gate golf course, part of the park. more breaking news. a wild fire exploded in size overnight. evacuation orders are in place. the fire has burned about 32,000 acres and burning out of control. homeowners say they are ready to leave. we have a crew headed to the area. pete has another live report. that will come up in about 30

fbi agents he planned to blow up the 4th of july. the man canvassed a downtown area and a coast guard station near by. >> now to latest developments on the fire exploding in size this morning. it crossed into napa county. evacuations are in the area. parts of the area are also under evacuation orders. 32,000 acres are burned so far.

the fire is only 2% contained. >> pete is there with the fight to contain the flames this morning. how is it going? >> good morning to you. you can still smell the smoke here in the air here. i can say since we have been here the conditions are a bit cooler. it could be good news for firefighters there. we are standing on highway 128 here. this is one of the areas that are closed off. this road for a few miles down is closed off. there is monday tear evacuations in place for this area. let's show our viewers some of the fire we are seeing here. this is on the fire lines off of highway 16. that is north of where we are standing. that is where some of the folks on the ground telling me this morning. as you mentioned those numbers, the fire burning through tens of thousands since saturday afternoon. it is about 70 miles northeast

of san francisco. we know some of the smoke and ash reached parts of the bay area over the weekend. you can go and show your viewers there. it is north of highway 128. it is as well as east knoxville road. we are standing here to bring the other fire department here to count the fire. we'll keep an eye on conditions and provide updates as they come in. today in the bay. >> thank you, pete. the fire 73% contained now. 22 structures have been destroyed and 50 more threatened. more than 14,000 acres have been burned. take a look on the golden gate bridge. smoke and ash from fires burning across the bay area. bay area air quality management

district did issue a smoke advisory yesterday. a lot of people following cars all over san francisco. they could learn the fate of a man accused in the case. they were in court. each faces 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. sources tell us that lawyers for the men are finalizing separate plea agreements with the judge which means that the case would not go to trial. the hearing resumes tomorrow. both men accused of illegally converting that warehouse into a living space. i'm sure you heard about this horrifying story. nine people were hurt. a man went on a stabbing free at

the childrenis birthday part. he came back looking for revenge. some do have life threatening injuries. some of those victims are refugees who fled violence in other countries. >> they are victims from their past homes who have fled violence. the suspect had no relation to any of those victims. one of california's newest state laws gets toughest on guns. anybody who makes a homemade firearm needs to apply for a serial number. also homemade gun owners that already have them now have until

be. a woman drowned. it happened just after 7:00 last night. a witness says the woman was taking pictures of her young family members when the waves swept them up. a woman went in after the kids. the waves swept her out too. other family members pulled the kids out but couldn't get to the woman in time. we don't know her name but we can tell you she is 47 years old. she is from the east bay. a nurse shark. >> it grabbed her whole hand. the shark ended up almost taking her finger. >> it happened so quickly. >> all i could focus on is the fact that my finger is gone.

this is in the wrong place at the wrong time. >> the deadline's right to die opponent and the clock is ticking. the state appeals court reinstated the end of life auction. state lawmakers approved a special session two years ago. it allows for terminally ill people with prescribed life ending drugs. it settled the issue for the time being. the case still has to play out in the court. developing in the philippines a mayor has been shot and killed. the mayor served the city about 40 miles south. he was known for rounding up drug suspects and parading them through the city. somebody shot him this morning.

she the fourth mayor aligned with drugs to be assassinated. 6:47 now. it can be priceless. the chp is reporting anyone who parked should take valuables with them. they say thieves are hard at work there. it will be adjusted in the consumer price index. it is 6:48.

over towards here. winds will be blowing on shore which will push it towards the sacramento valley. we see upper 70s. it will be heating up towards the weekend once again. san francisco watching out for low clouds and fog for the next three days and warming up just in time for the weekend once again. you're saying it looks like holiday traffic already. >> yeah. some left town friday. we'll see if it holds up. we are looking at a light easy drive. heading over towards the bay bridge. look how light this is. we are still under a half hour from highway 4 all the way down.

first an update to breaking news we )ve been following all morning. a terror plot foiled in downtown cleveland. >> before you head out the door we have the latest on today in the bay. a news conference just wrapped up. here is what we learned. the suspect who lived in ohio told an under cover fbi agent he planned to blow up the 4th of july parade with a bomb. the fbi says the suspect has allegiance on al qaeda and to an fbi agent. he planned the attack philadelphia where he used to live. that suspect is facing several charges and will be in court later today.

>> fires burning into a neighboring napa county. evacuation orders in effect. the fire so far burned about 32,000 acres burning out of control really. firefighters are sup poeszed to be giving us a new update any time now. breaking a fire that destroyed a clubhouse at a popular golf course. it happened at the golf course. they say the clubhouse is destroyed. there are no injuries.
