a man is facing pretty disturbing charges. he is accused of killing his own mother. he was arrested yesterday morning. police say they found her mother dead on the bathroom floor. police say matthew was in that neighborhood on a crime spree attempting to break into cars and homes. it happened just before 5:30 last night about a block.

the victim flagged down a driver asking for help. that man was taken to a hospital. we don't know the extent of his injuries at this point. is it justice served or justice denied? >> the defendants pleaded no contest it means both will serve less than ten years in prison and they could be out much sooner with good behavior. victim's family members say that this doesn't seem right. >> they just wanted fair justice. >> the family mens will have a chance to tell tell how they feel. it is at the sentencing hearing in august. a woman in her 40s escaped

he carried out this crime spree over a 3 month period. he is accused of using $100,000. he already had two warrants for his arrest. city officials estimate there are more than 100 children in that situation in l.a. alone. some demonstrators who are calling for ice to be abolished say they are not about to give up their fight any time soon. dozens are camping out in tents.

including a closer look. they managed to track down the boys in that under water cave. >> a wild fire destroys more than 100 homes. there is more in danger. the fire which started last wednesday burned more than 80,000 acres. hundreds of people were told to get out of their homes as flames moved closer. a 52-year-old immigrant has been arrested for deliberately starting that fire. the weather is still a big concern for firefighters on the front lines of the county fire. this is burning in yolo and napa counties. it is now the size of fresno. it is 15% contained. the good news for some is that the evacuation orders were lifted. air tankers and helicopters were able to make more drops yesterday because the facility was better. if you're planning on
