outside of bars looking for women accused of violently raping four victims. lyft has confirmed he has been fired following the accusations. and now to developments on the wild fire burning near yosemite. they are posted to the fire department's facebook page. they recovered his body yesterday. a bulldozer hit and killed him. he was trying to create a fire line. it is one of several fires burning across california right now. the fire itself burned more than 9,000 acres. it is only 2% contained. authorities issued a mandatory evacuation. as we get out the door this morning right now at 6:08 a mostly cloudy start and temperatures at about 60 degrees. as we normally see the skies will clear out fairly fast. by 8:00 we'll start to see the skies clearing. the rest of the day looking nice

and blew out. >> it extends from the eruptions. an arkansas fisherman reeled in something a little unusual, a prosthetic leg. he was fishing over the weekend when he latched ton to something. at first he thought it was a log and then he realized it was a prosthetic leg. he pulled it and took the social media to find the owner. within hours he was able to track down the owner who said that he had been missing that leg since a boating accident in april. we are live at the impact it could have on the business. >> the new option for homeowners on the peninsula trying to save money and now others are already

good morning frm thanks for joining us. let's head over to kari hall to get a better welcome at where we'll see cool or hot spots today. >> yeah. the coastal areas will be cool and also cloudy. we are seeing clouds right now as we take a live look outside over the south bay with the sunrising just below that. a beautiful start on this tuesday morning. let's go to evergreen. that is where it will be one of the hot spots reaching into the low 70s at 10:00. low 90s by early afternoon. it will be warmer than normal. we feel cooler air at the bart station upper 50s as you get ready to head out the door and a few clouds clearing out as we head towards the lower 70s. we'll talk about all of these and what's ahead for the weekend coming up. we have a new update on the closure. >> it is not great. the good news is that the closure here north 101 getting onto east 102 connector. we don't see slowing on the freeway. if you're getting to the bridge

the connector will not open until at least 8:00. that's the update. pushed back about an hour. we have been hearing rumors. they do have a problem. the other problem i'm tracking is not there. it is here. it is reportedly blocking your left lane. i'm hearing chp may be running a traffic break. we can see this all the way over to the scene. traffic breaks to move that car from the fast lane over to the shoulder. we will track that situation. the bay bridge toll plaza is a lot better than that. we'll get off of that shot and show you. 6:32. we are following breaking news in the south bay. a fire ripped through a well flown three star restaurant. >> today in the bay bob is live there to show that damage left

behind. bob, this is the first time they experience add fire. another one happened what four years ago? >> reporter: correct. we were out here four years ago when they had much more destruction. you can see the fire from last flight. nowhere near as damaging. it appears the start of that kitchen door, that rectangular piece of metal spread to the back wall. santa clara fire department says there is some minor damage inside. nowhere near as destructive as the fire from back in 2014. fire started around 9:00 last night. this restaurant was already closed. it is closed today and closed yesterday. no one inside. fire department tells us they had the fire out in 15 minutes. as i mentioned, it appeared to start near the kitchen door. hay had ho to cut a roof. the cause is unknown. so far tells us nothing appears to be suspicious and we do not

know when it will reopen. again, it is closed today as part of their schedule. this is video of the first fire that burned back on july 7th of 2014. it was just over four years ago. it started outside near garbage cans. it caused much more damage. the restaurant did not reopen until a number of months later. what is interesting, food and wine magazine just published an article talking about how that fire four years ago made it a better restaurant. the head chef was able to maintain his three stars for this restaurant the last couple of years. today in the bay. >> glad no one was seriously hurt there. of course a lot of people saddened by that because they loved that restaurant so much. >> all right. thanks. today a man who confessed to robbing an elderly east bay woman is expected to face a judge once again.

this time he could face murder charges. prosecutors are expected to charge him with murder during his court appearance. the 93 ann peterson was knocked down during the robbery in may. she died a month later. homeowners hired the exterminator to get rid of rats and bests. the man would later come back and take their valuables. he says a homeowner caught him in the act. >> his excuse was i was just coming back to check on the trout traps. >> it is very worry zom you can't truck someone. >> he is accused of stealing

square feet it has a full kitchen, bathroom, washer, drier, living area and loft. they built this for $120,000 so their daughter could afford to live where she grew up. >> it finally came to me that she wasn't going to be able to afford to rent something especially with her dog and with the rents around oakland. >> the family has a couple of tips if you're considering building a granny unit. they say find a builder who is familiar with the process that has built them before. they hope as more cities come on board the regulations will be streamlined. >> i wouldn't say the expense was the worst thing. it was the time that they took to do it. we would call and they would say 30 days. at 30 days we would called and they say 30 more delayays.
