you're still tracking the bay bridge. >> we have the lights on. it is the slowest spot for the bay. nowhere else needs any tracking right now. the bay bridge back up once you get through there you have more slowing just to the west. a disabled vehicle. chp is nearly there to help get that off of the freeway. we are tracking this. fog clearing the south bay. it is not here. we can see traffic is flowing more smoothly. it may be progress getting that off of the bridge. towards the san francisco side it is delays around 16th and mission. it is one of our top stories. back to you. >> it is. it is breaking news bringing to you live here on today in the bay. police investigating the deadly shooting is in the heart of san francisco's mission district. two men were found with gunshot wounds at 16th and mission.

some hugging each other. there are unconfirmed reports more may be dead. it is 6:02. the brock turner sexual assault trial is back in headlines. we are live to explain why this case is going before another judge. good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you. in a few hours from now an attorney for brock turner will argue why his client did not receive a fair trial. he will also try to argue that his conviction should be overturned. he is the former stanford swimmer sentenced for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman. a number of people not only in the bay area but throughout the country were outraged turner receive that had sentence of which he only served three months pause of good behavior

and jail. voters responded and they he presided over that case. arguments are not expected to make a decision. we did hear from his attorney. they expected them to take less than an hour. >> all right. notwithstandings. they will introduce the marijuana ordnance far vote. here is what some of the rates could be, up to $7 per canopy square foot for cultivation. up to 4% of gross receipts for all other businesses including retail. it could add up to $4 million per year. a follow-up voters will reportedly wait two more years to decide far plan to allow marijuana businesses.

is. that is a great commute including the trivalley. this is 880 south. big slowing there. getting up towards the toll plaza. another crash reported and should be clearing shortly. i'm happy to report that the stalled vehicle has been cleared for the last couple of minutes. we'll see recover i here and the back up will be focused towards the berkeley curve. that fog creeping around. you can see the westbound taillights very visible moving more through the tunnel. north of there we had a lot of problems for the morning commute. the bridge moves very slowly. construction work cleared. we had typical volume here. back to you. >> let me show you this. it is heading up over there. it will save you instead of going across the by bridge. this shows you how clear it was.

look at this. by noon at 84 degrees heading into the 90s for today. make sure you're prepared for that heat in some of the hotter spots. in san jose maybe you're on your way out the door. it will be partly cloudy through about 9:00 and low 60s. at lunchtime at 77 degrees. it is 80 at noontime today. we'll talk a look and look ahead to the weekend coming up. you have a slow approach to the bay bridge. >> yeah. it is recovering from a disabled vehicle. the toll plaza, the crash is now cleared. delays here. you can see very slow traffic crawling. these are coming off of the curve. that's a big jam right now. a big slowing off of west 80. overall look at that. this is moving nicely. a little slowing here.

into custody. >> we are live where the suspect was arrested. now that they have the suspect in custody what about a motive? did they know anything? >> reporter: yeah. good morning. it is too early to tell what the motive was. it is one of the burning questions as to why police are wondering why he targeted these two women in this stabbing. we want to show you some of the video we showed you to our viewers. actually getting taken into custody where we are standing. police say they received anonymous tips from riders on that train they were able to intercept them there. his arrest came as hundreds of people showed up to pay their respects to nia wilson. according to police nia and her

sister were standing at the platform area when they were stabbed. the police chief called it one of the most vicious attacks he has ever seen. nia was pronounced dead and her sister taken to the hospital for her injuries. we will show you video including family members. >> a knife walking through the bar past people in our community. >> he was a convicted felon. why was he wandering the streets? >> at this point i want justy for my daughter, that's all i want, justy for my daughter. -- justice for my daughter. >> it is the third killing in the past week. a man assaulted at the station we are standing at right here just this past wednesday. he had minor injuries in that attack.

he was found dead in his bed on friday due infection from a small cut on his knee. the suspect has been arrested. on saturday morning at the station a man was punched in the head and fell to the ground. the suspect in that case is still ton loose. as you guys mentioned, as the motive for the stabbing of nia wilson and her sister is still under investigation. >> three killings in one week. that's amazing. thank you. also in you this morning at 6:36 a neighborhood getting back to normal for nearly ten hours yesterday and into the overnight. the streets in eastbound san jose s.w.a.t. officers took a person into custody. it started with a traffic stop. the suspect lead police on a short chase and barricaded hips inside a home.

we talked to neighbors who were shut out for hours. >> i just got up for work. i'll be back around 6:00 and i have to stock up. >> officers found several guns inside the suspect's car. they have not identified the reason for the original traffic stop. new detail tons shooting rampage that killed two people along with a gunman. it happened sunday night. he shot 15 people before exchanging gunfire with police. authorities tell nbc he was not listed on any u.s. terror watch and has no social media presence. the 18-year-old girl who died is identified as fallon. >> they are spending time with their friends and family as much

away. the air is considered worse than it is in some of the most cluted cities. the fire burden more than 36,000 acres. it is listed at 16% containment. over here a very nice drive. south bay starting to see more. trivalley east bay at 680 and 880 no major problems. it is the east shore freeway. it is slow through the bay bridge continuing efforts to recover from the earlier back up when there was a disabled vehicle there. it has cleared. recovery and the berkeley curve is very slow. good news here. no problems so far this morning. we'll track that.

many are clear here. thanks so much. it is a quarter to 7 right now. the chp investigating a fiery crash that killed one person and critically injured another. it happened just before 10:00 last night in southbound lanes near campbell. a van plowed into a car that stopped in the middle of the road. both cars caught fire. rescuers could not save the person in the mustang. they are trying to figure out why the mustang stopped in the first place. you can have your say on whether a new in and out. this is where the elephant bar. it was submitted last june. some people who live in that area worried about the traffic and impact of tearing it down

the coast. temperatures in the low 60s. if you're on your way to the dublin bart station temperatures in the low 60s through about 8:00. here it sparks a warm up pretty fast as we go through the day. lunchtime at 83 degrees and 87 at 1:00 as it continues to go up. hiking in the east bay starts out clear and cool. 62 degrees. at 10:00 we are at 72 degrees. after that it starts to feel more uncomfortable. you need to stay hydrated and you may be trying to find shade where you can get it. it reaches into the mid-90s in parts of the inland valleys. it is 88 in san jose. it is 76 in oakland. san francisco expect a high of 69 degrees. some of the waves may be up to about 4 to 9 feet. the waves look fine and suddenly they kind of raise up a little bit higher as it reaches the shore. never turn your back to the
