minutes. >> thanks so much. it is 6:01. developing this morning 19 major wild fires burning across california including several here in california. thousands of acres are socorche. the largest fire by far is the car fire burning in shasta county chis one of 19 are wild fires are burning.

>> reporter: this happened at the applebee's here off of highway 4 at around 1:15. you can see that they still processing the crime scene here. a lot of gun shells found all over the parking lot here. an eyewitness who talked with today in the bay said he thought it was fire crackers or something. he heard it and he looked and watched as two groups of people were shooting at each other. one was taken to a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. a short time later another man who was shot showed up at the hospital. they found shell casings all over the parking lot at was zone. >> first i thought it was fire

sunny day across most of the bay area. taking a live look outside from san jose city hall this morning. hall right now. >> marcus has the week off this week. >> we are starting off with temperatures in the low 60s. you can see a lot of clouds rolling by. looking elsewhere across the bay area low to mid-50s. let's check out walnut creek. it will be hot again today. at least it will be comfortable during the morning hours. at noon 78 degrees heading up to 90 by 4:00 today. here is a look at all of the

high temperatures for the afternoon. we'll have a wide range in temperatures from 60 at half-moon bay and san jose up to 85 degrees. we'll talk about what's had for the weekend coming up. we have been tracking a couple of problem spots mostly in the east bay. >> the east bay seems to be one of the areas where it just kind of continues and carries over and causes another accident. looking at the bay area we have slowing in the sou that no majo accidents to report. i want to get to some of the slower spots. let's look at some of your drive times. southbound 880 from 238 to highway 84 looking at about 17 minutes. unfortunately the tri-valley a little slow try to go recover from an earlier crash to 680. it has gotten much better. it got to up 25, 27.

we are keeping a very close eye on several massive wild fires burning across the state this morning. here is the very latest. there are 19 active wild fires in california right now including several here in northern california. two fires burning burning. we are live this morning. closer to home firefighters how is everything looking so far? >> reporter: yeah. that's right. as the sun comes up we are starting to get a much better idea of the damage caused by the fire. you can see several homes have been burned. what you're looking at is the

driveway that leads to the garage. the steel fire broke out in napa county on saturday afternoon and quickly spread to 150 acres. it is only 65% contained. chp monitoring road closures. i want to show you video from a other big fire burning north of here. it is the ranch fire and the river fire. they are reporting that together they have purned more than 30,000 acres and each fire is just more than 5% contained. >> once the wind picked up we had a lot of flames coming over. >> whole town is quiet.

here are the top stories on today in the bay-- firefighters are still trying to get the upper hand on the deadly carr wildfire .. burning in shasta county. there are now 6-people dead .. with others still missing. as of last night the fire has burned at least 95-thousand . back back. fire fiegtders try to go get handle ton car fire in shasta county. a live look from napa county where you can see the aftermath. it is one of two significant wild fires burning. the one near napa, 150 acres
