mid to upper 80s inland. for a first check of your commute, here's vianey. >> i know yesterday we were also on the same route where it started off fairly good and sort of set up well. so far, now, our speed sensors are seeing a lot of green, which means no major slowing in any of the areas but i wanted to show you one that's already starting to slow down. that's the bay bridge toll plaza. you can see here, although i will say this, the metering lights are not on just yet. this is the regular slowing that happened at this time and then picks up and slows down. i'll have another check of traffic. >> we begin with the mendocino complex fire. another nervekino here's where we stand. so far, nearly 95,000 acres burned. 14 homes destroyed. but those numbers could go up today. as firefighters suggle to gain the upper hand. >> today in the bay's jodi

hernandez is live in lakepert where people are not breathing any yeezier this morning. >> as nightfall set in, pilots race to drop as much retardant and water on the unruly mendocino complex fire before the sun went down. >> every day that we have been on this fire, it seems like there's been a new push in a different direction. >> that direction is once again threatening homes. ground crews are building dozer lines around houses. hoping to hold their ground against the fierce fire. >> we have engine crews that will be working on structure defense, where they'll take fire engines into the area and work on defending homes as well as we have bulldozers working the area that take the material down to raw dirt to help slow the fire progression. too much sentimento really leave. >> while others have been evacuated for days.

burned. you can track all the fires burning in the state on our website. >> this is interesting. new developments in the search for an iowa woman who vanished more than a week ago. more than 300 people gathered last night to help in the search for mollie tibbetts who grew up in oakland. now there's new hope in finding her alive. investigators say there was a possible sighting at a truck stop in missouri more than 230 miles away from where she disappeared. but we spoke to her mother on the phone last night, and she said she hadn't heard anything from police about that possible sighting. mollie was last seen on her nightly run through brooklyn, iowa. the last thing she did washeelf boyfriend. her friends say they're keeping faith they'll find her alive. >> i try nlate too much because the only thing that comes into your head whenever you're not investigating all the facts is that somng happened i personally don't want to

they're calling the economy strong. likely that means the fed is still on course to raise rates in september. the nasdaq rose 35. >> vizio is launching a free streaming service called watch free, including it on nearly all of its smart cast tv sets. cow can browse more than 100 live and linear channels covering tv shows, news, sports, concerts, viral videos, but you can't pause or rewind content because it's linear. presented like the old fashioned way at a certain time. vizio said the service will have it elon musk says tesla will add old school atari video games to the display screen. musk says he's hoping to include classic titles such as tempest, missile command, and pole position. the driving controls for pole position apparently would be linked to the vehicle's steering wheel. before you protest, he made it clear it's only while the vehicle is stopped. that's the good news. he's also calling for video game

today. temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 80s. we shouldn't see 90s unless you're closer to antioch or pittsburg. you may get closer to 90 this afternoon. a closer look at today's high temperatures. 60s in san francisco. cool day out on the coast, as you see. san jose, low 80s. mid to upper 80s inland. the trend into the weekend will actually be a little cooler sunday. but we're going to have to watch out for increasing winds around the larger wildfires to the north and high pressure tries to build back to california as we head into next week. as you're about to see in the seven-day forecast. temperatures today trending cooler and then they're going to rebound by the time we get to the middle of next week. san francisco, seven-day forecast, not much change, actually. we'll see numbers staying in the 60s and valleys as we get towards tomorrow and saturday may see 90s and then turning windy and cooler as we head to sunday. now for another check of the thursday morning commute, here's vianey. >> the reports are rather quiet this morning, but just as i was
