need to stay vigilant in order for them to stay safe. at this time of year it is so tough in the morning too. >> yes, absolutely. it is reminding parents to watch out for kids as classes get ready to begin. mom and dad aren't always following the same rules they set for their own teenage drivers. they found most do establish rules while they are driving. we are talk about no driving while drowsy. they are rules i'm establishing right now. according to the insurance company when parents break those rules, 38% of them justify it by saying i have more driving experience. about a third say they don't always enforce the rules for

a mother and her daughter are back on u.s. soil after an angry judge ordered the trump administration to turn the plane around that they were flying on. they deported the pair from texas to central america despite assuring a judge it would not happen. they are chaejing not to give status to people seeking protection from gangs and domestic violence. the judge threatened to hold jeff sessions if the mother and daughter weren't brought back immediately. 5:04. we continue to follow the latest developments on several wild fires still burning across the state. first the most urgent situation down south in southern

california. it is growing in riverside and orange counties. so far the fire is more than 10,000 acres. it is heading towards homes. already 13 homes are destroyed by that fire. the holy fire is believed to have been initially set and an arrest has been made. mandatory evacuation orders are finally lifted. in spring valley some found their homes destroyed in the fire. one family sifting through the ashes were understandably heartbroken. >> it came down and burned out all of the houses. >> he says they managed to save it as people here survey the

damage. it is with officials. that fire burning has scorched nearly 180,000 acres destroying more than a thousand homes. it's only 49% contained. >> two men contained a plea deal are expected to make statements to the families that lost loved ones. their statements come one day after their families had a chance to address them.

lot of parents this morning. it might make you think twice before letting your child fly unaccompanied. nine-year-old carter and his seven-year-old sister were heading home to orlando. they were flying as unaccompanied minors. when the flight was unexpectedly diverted overnight that's when the parents nightmare began. they were taken to a hotel at 4:00 in the morning. their father only heard this news because his son borrowed somebody else's phone to text him, not the airline. >> for frontier to leave the messaging i think is really unacceptable. no supervisor tried to call. no phone calls or e-mails. >> it showed the kids were in contact with their parents and they were attended to at all times bay frontier supervisor. he says his children were only

homicide investigation in concord. last month 64-year-old michael downy was found dead in his apartment. they believe ter rans dickson was behind that dickson is considered armed and dangerous. 11 young children kept under unimaginable conditions and where they were allegedly being trained to kill at a compound there. the father of one of the adults arrested is speaking out. he is accused of taking his own son from atlanta. police did find remains of a little boy but they have not been able to say whether it is
