meanwhile, on the big island, the national guard is activated to deal with the flash flooding and across the state, storm warnings in effect throughout the day. back to you, craig and sheinelle. >> steve patterson, thank you. >> let's get a check of lane and where the storm is headed next. dylan, what are we looking at now? >> the storm is staying offshore. the outer bands producing all of the rain. although it has weakened to a tropical storm, that is just in regards to the winds. winds right now at 65 miles per hour. the rain is still very intense. some areas have picked up about 30 to 40 inches of rain. this storm system continues to move to the north/northwest. it will stay offshore, the center of it, the rain bands will affect the big island. we do still have tropical advisories in effect. tropical storm warnings for most of hawaii and tropical storm watches across the northern parts as the storm continues to

thanks. a teen is dead and two people are under arrest following a shooting near a bay area high school. it happened around 5:00 p.m. in fairfield. witnesses saw two people flee the scene at washington street and bell avenue and run to the school a. 16-year-old boy died from his injuries. and an 18-year-old man remains in critical condition. the suspects forced a lockdown at the high school. the football game was called off and people were forced to shelter in place in the school gym. that's where one of the shooting suspects was caught. the other suspect was arrested at a nearby home. no represent has been found. a major announcement late last night from the high-profile ceo of tesla after weeks of shakeups and odd tweets. elon musk says tesla will remain a publicly traded company n. a statement, musk says he is quote incredibly excited to continue leading tesla as a public company. it is a privilege.

we told you about a homeless man rescued from the streets of philadelphia last fall after word of his kindness went viral. that sparked a massive fund raising campaign. bringing in more than $400,000 in donations. the story has taken a new turn. nbc's matt bradley has been following that. good morning. >> reporter: craig, good morning. go fund me is investigating what happened to the $400,000 raised to help johnny bobbitt get off the streets. bobbitt says he is only seeing a fraction of the money. he is accusing the people who helped him raise the funds of spending it. today, johnny bobbitt's fairy tale becoming a nightmare. the homeless veteran's story viral after helping $20 to help kate's mcclure. to say thank you, she and her boyfriend set up a go fund me page intending to buy johnny a new home and truck and establish two trusts in his name.

arrest following a shooting near a bay area high school. it happened around 5:00 p.m. near armijo high school in fairfield. two suspects ran from the scene and ran to the school. a 16-year-old died from his injuries. an 18-year-old remain in critical condition. the suspects forced a lockdown at the high school. the football game was canceled and people were forced to shelter in place in the school gym. that's where one of the shooting suspects was caught. the other suspect was arrested at a nearby home. late last night a major announcement from elon musk after weeks of shakeups and odd tweets. the high-profile ceo says tesla will remain a publicly traded company n. a statement, musk says he is incredibly excited to continue leading tesla as a public company. it is a privilege. this is a reversal of course from earlier this month when he sent shock waves worldwide tweeting he was considering taking tesla private. that caused shares to drastically drop.
