we blurred the suspect's face. it he is striking the man on the ground nine times. you can also hear people inside saying don't beat him. he did drop the audio because that's lot of profanity in the audio. once he was cuffed he was dragged off to a patrol car. here is what police say happened on friday night. police say that the officer struck the suspect with the flashlight because he refused to release his left hand under his body. they say that the suspect was

taken to the hospital to be checked out. he faces charges of kidnapping and false imprisonment. the 14-year-old was returned safely to her family. they tell us the investigation is not complete however the officer's use of force appears they are reviewing statements and officer body worn camera video. if you have that they would like to see it too to have all of the perspective. >> good morning, pete.

as far as air quality we are doing a lot better. no spare the air alerts. we see north bay smoke. if you see a bit of a blanket be mindful of that. dealing with moderate air quality. inland east bay and south bay enjoy your monday afternoon. as far as your daytime temperatures we are below seasonal. low pressure system that is sitting kind of over california. san jose 78 degrees. check out the east bay. oakland in the 70s. we warm up by 11 to 12 degrees. so some areas will be a little bit warmer for today. along the peninsula temperatures will climb into the upper 60s for san mateo. it will be breezy into the afternoon as well. if you'll be in the city we'll

up north the car fire almost fully contained. right now it is 96% contained. it is back open. dust storms burning to shut down this entrance for three hours yesterday and once the dust settled it took more than ten hours to get things back to normal. yesterday marked the official start which draws about 80,000 people to nevada desert each year. happening today a major project underway to boost parking in danville. they will work on two neighboring lots. parking will nearly triple for the current 70 spaces. it also includes a foot bridge
