by hour forecast so you can plan out your day successfully. we are still expecting to see some of that cloud cover. even through today and tomorrow we'll keep this nice marine layer. the cap will keep hugging the coastline. you can expect the see cooler temperatures. we won't see a major difference. check out the interior valleys. they are running 10 to 12 degrees below what they are supposed to be. antioch here we have about 88 degrees compared to what we have seen. it will be a little breezy towards the afternoon especially along the coastline. definitely pack a nice light sweater. we'll keep this marine layer thanks to a low pressure system sitting right over us before the end of the week when we see a

warm up. we have a drive around the bay. a couple of things popped up. one is developing. over here a developing crash. this is west highway 84. it is not really around the paintball course. keep that in mind. we may have a lane blocked. chp keeps sending vehicles. in the meantime we see that is happening. want to take stanley. the adjustment shows it jumping on here. folks are getting through. there is more slowing. farther south the onramp heard about a crash effecting folks on city streets. it is near the gas station and car wash there. no problems there. an easy flow of traffic and upper east shore freeway starting to show more. back to you. >> thanks a lot.

are going to get, not really that warm today. concord 76 degrees. antioch 78. it will remain nice and breezy along the coast and the bay. san francisco 6 this -- 64 degrees. let's look at what we can expect. august 31st, can you believe it? ridge of high temperatures. the warmest days will come in friday through saturday. for those folks asking me about their parties you'll welcome a lot of sunshine associated with sunshine thanks to the ridge of high pressure. we'll continue with a gradual warming in through san francisco. inland areas expect to see 80s ton map. that cloud cover sticking around. >> all right. we are looking at a pleasant drive for most of the bay. we'll show you over here where we have the issue. we are following that crash on

west 84. we do have slowing that continues through the area. there has been the arrival of a chp vehicle. i think there are more that will be a distraction. more focus around ruby hill. it is holding steady heading towards the area at 680 south from a little bit farther north. it provides a little benefit. all of them are held up there. here is a smooth drive. no surprises there. an easy build for west 80. that is right there on our sensors over here. i showed you this a few minutes ago. a lot more traffic heading in from the east bay. no problems across the span. that's good news. no problems across the bay bridge. we showed you the slowing. 25 minutes from highway 4 to the toll plaza.

more than half made a lateral move or got a promotion. here is how it changed the hiring picture for the city. in the last fiscal year the city hired more than 1,400 employees which is 235 more employees than the year before and also an improvement. the competition is clearly fierce. this is unemployment data you can see unemployment has been trending sharply down for santa clara which are the two lines that are the lowest. if you're looking for work or you recently have been hired i asked what has been the most annoying part of the process. 58% of you said it is the long wait. hopefully it will see the process along a little bit faster. we are also having this

he was expect today recover. police did arrest another in connection with that attack. police looking for another man suspected of stabbing a rider saturday night. you can see the surveillance images. sadly of course there's the attack. she is the woman stab today death five months ago. police arrested a man in connection with her murder. to help make the transit system safer the federal emergency management agency awarded $6.8 million security grant. it will pay for a variety of upgrades including new security cameras. it will also help bart keep a special team of officers up and running. you we are talking about eight officers who ride allowing them to quickly respond to calls and terror threats. you can see how it will be split up.

towers forced 22 people to work without pay. workers were also housed in a warehouse. the builder says that the subcontract to h subcontractor has been fired frm the airport will have a redesigned area. it is thanks to a new federal grant. the airport received $11 million from the federal airport improvement program. the money will cover the cost to reconstruct what they call the airport's apron. handing out more than $600 million for projkects acros the united states. a vandal attack that may have to honor fallen soldiers. some either used paint or marker to deface the sun of san jose vietnam war memorial downtown. it honors 142 soldier frs the south bay who died in that war. we spoke with the couple who

check out the east bay. it is through the interior valleys. that's what we are seeing. it is only about 12 degrees. it is 15 to 20 degrees. take it through antioch and you can see that it's about 10 degrees warmer there. you have the breezy conditions. 73 degrees. if you'll be out in the city very typical in terms of the fog. a little bit on the cooler/chilly end towards the evening. this is running a little bit warmer. let's talk about what you can expect from now through labor day weekend. you're probably already planning. it will work out nicely for you. we have mild temperatures, this nice ridge of high pressure just off the west.
