mccain's colleagues from both sides of the aisle celebrated his legacy in a moving memorial. nbc's national correspondent alexander has more from the touching tribute in phoenix. >> reporter: the man so many arizonians celebrate at their hero saying good-bye for the last time. in a state with millions of voters, here they felt they knew john mccain personally. at the family's church in phoenix, where mccain's younger children were baptized, the military honor guard receiving his flag-draped casket, while his loved ones, including widow cindy, looked on. ♪ amazing grace a moving celebration of life with a native-american expression of love. ♪ ♪ and a patriotic parade of tributes. >> he served his country with honor. he fought the good fight. he finished the race. he kept the faith.

respond for a request for comment. a man has been arrested and charged with repeatedly threatening to shoot employees of "the boston globe." the fbi says when he made the threats, he mentioned a phrase that's frequently used by president trump in attacking the news media. nbc news' justice correspondent pete williams has more. >> reporter: an fbi s.w.a.t. team swarmed a home of a man threatening to attack "the boston globe." he called the globe's newsroom a dozen times, beginning august 10th, the same day the globe launched a national campaign that urged newspapers supporting a free press. as long as you keep attacking the president, he said in one call, he'd continue his threats, according to the fbi. and in another court document, he told "the globe," "i'm going to shoot you in the head today at 4:00." in several threatening calls he said, quote, you're the enemy of

the people. that's a phrase president trump has repeatedly used to criticize the press for what he considers unfair coverage. >> i call the fake news the enemy of the people, and they are. they are the enemy of the people. >> reporter: the president using again in a series of tweets attacking the media, including nbc news. >> there's a dangerous game, because there's a risk that individuals who are upset with the media will take this kind of language literally. >> reporter: he's charged with making threats and interstate communications. authorities say he has weapons and bought a rifle three months ago. pete williams, nbc news, washington. more details this morning in the case of a woman seen on video in texas wearing doorbells and wearing restraints. police have identified her boyfriend as 49-year-old ray cullens. he was found dead in his home of an apparent suicide. he left a note behind identifying the woman and saying he was sorry for what he'd done to her. >> due to the allegations made by the female of sexual assault, we will not be naming the victim
