taking a look at our weather. >> yeah. a lot of people getting out of bed this morning. i have great news for you. it will be a nice day. air quality will be better too. here is a look at martinez and our temperature trend. it starts out at mid-60s and warming up to the mid-80s today as you get outside and heading to school. san jose will be in the upper 50s walking to school recess. a little bit warmer with sunshine and upper 60s and low 70s. upper 70s getting out of school. we'll take a look at that coming up. >> because we have more traffic volume you can see this at 680 and 280. it is approaching all the way up to outside of our range. that is where we have this crash located. details. it sounds like the crash may be in the roadway causing more slowing right here.

lawyer. we are live there san jose with details. this is his own choice, right? >> it is. that's according to the public information officer with santa clara county court system. he tells us that he does not have a lawyer. he is a man accused of killing his parents. he will be representing himself. it is his first trial hearing which will be mostly proce proceedural. this was back in april of 2016. sources who witnessed the aftermath before police arrived, they told us that chilling messages had been written ton floor and wall near the body.

forecasters in japan say they are seeing sustained winds of 100 miles per hour. the universal studios theme park were both shut down. if you plan to fly out of the gulf coast you may want to check your flight status after dumping rain on south florida. tropical storm gordon could hit new orleans as early as tonight. it is expected to gain strength and could become the first hurricane of the season. yesterday high winds and heavy downpours causing problems across the southern tip of the sunshine state. some beaches were shut down and everyone was advised to stay out of the ocean. hurricanes are in fact live there in the gulf coast. even lifetime -- or long-time residents are concerned about gordon. >> it makes me a little nervous. last flightnight i was pretty n.

temperatures ranging from 65 in san francisco to 90 in antioch. we will have a wide range in temperatures which is slightly cooler in spots especially in san jose. as we head over to mike you have been tracking a couple of issues. i do want to track this. we still see the slowing and the activity. this is northbound 101. there was a car left in the middle of the roadway. it sounds like it is still there. we see this slowing here. it is northbound 280. it may clear over the next few in the south bay.

injustice. it is an issue that divided the nation's social media. nike decided to put kaepernick as the face of the just do it campaign. the iconic slogan that the company is known for. you can see the tag line there that says believe in something even if it means sacrificing everything. plenty of controversy over the past couple of years. his decision two years ago when he was wearing a 49ers uniform to kneel during the uniform.

it was to protest the police killings of unarmed americans. a number of players taking part in it even until this day. kaepernick has played in the nfl since he took the stance and claiming that owners are colluding to keep him out of the league. i want to show you guys video as i mentioned. it is trending on twitter. you're seeing plenty of online outrage. you have folks burning shoes and burning their apparel. none of them happy about nike's decision. there are supporters of this decision by nike. sheer what they had to say. >> personally i support him. i respect nike for doing it. i think it's cool they took the risk to do so.
