we have been tracking this high speed chase. it started around san jose. gave us word on that and up towards the interchange and continuing up across the bridge. it all right reached 780. it was traveling towards i-80. my concern is they will make a loop back down. it will join the morning commute. >> they head up and it will take them out of our area. we are tracking the very latest. >> right there. it passed by us. you see why what is keeping things moving smoothly. we'll track as it heads into the north bay or down into the east bay. that would be an issue.

we brought this to you as live breaking news. we know the 60-year-old pilot died and two passengers, a 49-year-old woman did survive but both are badly injured. the unidentified pilot was a volunteer pilot. he was flying the girl to a special bay area the crash left others they say the plane bounced a few times when dry to go land but it ended up crashing into a lagoon. anchts warning from alameda police investigating several sexual assaults in recent weeks. the latest happened just yesterday.

coach. >> brad worked for the chp for 11 years. the couple has four children. looking for a man they say stabbed a woman. that suspect is considered dangerous. here is a picture of the suspect. police say he is clean shaven now. he attacked a woman in her 70s at her home. by the time officers arrived that suspect was gone. inv inv investigators say he is known to frequent. police say they are looking for two people who tried to apparently kidnap a woman. this happened yesterday morning around this time. police say that woman was walking towards the lafayette bart station when a dark colored sedan pulled up. suspects tried to force that woman inside of a car.

i think it will be a cooler day across the bay area. the air quality alert includes moderate air quality for all of the bay area. we see drifts of smoke coming in. as we get the kids out the door with our temperatures starting out in the upper 50s we are going to have a nice cool start, a beautiful day and upper 70s for early afternoon. all of our high temperatures today coming down just a bit from the past couple of days. in san francisco 83. it is 82 in san jose. as you get dressed and you're starting out don't forget the sunglasses. it's a day to break out the summer gear. upper 80s in the forecast.
