cbs has officially parted wayst after more sexual misconduct allegations surfaced in a report by "the new yorker." cbs said in a statement, the departure is effective immediately, adding moonves and cbs will donate $20 million to one or more organizations that support the me too movement and equality for women in the workplace. >> while the donation will be made immediately, it will ultimately be taken out of any severance payments that could be owed to moonves after an independent investigation. in all, 12 women have now made accusations against moonves, which he denies. in a late-night statement, moonves said in part, "untrue allegations from decades ago are now being made against me that are not consistent with who i am. i am deeply saddened to be leaving the company." we get more now froc'd gura. >> reporter: six more women tell "the new yorker" les moonves sexually harassed or assaulted them. the allegations range from oral

tracie, thank you. later today, journalist bob woodward speaks out in a live interview ahead of the release of that blockbuster book. the east coast is preparing for the worst as hurricane florence gains strength and barrels toward the mainland. forecasters warn that the menacing storm twisting and churning over the atlantic could deliver a brutal hit when it makes landfall later this week. according to accuweather, florence is predicted to become a category 4 hurricane withstand winds of over 110 miles per hour. states of emergency have been declared in the carolinas and virginia, as the region braces for impact. as the southeast prepares, rain country. and in texas, flash flooding t move to higher ground. turned deadly, causingdrowngs n. a legendary igot win.

advanced satellites yet, promising to provide constant broadband services to the pacific region. the falcon 9 rocket carrying the satellite successfully took off following a weather delay. spacex says the rocket booster stuck a landing on a drone ship in the middle of the atlantic ocean. leading the news, a dallas police officer who fatally shot apartment has been arrested as part of a manslaughter investigation. the texas rangers say dallas police officer amber guyger was arrested in kaufman county. she was released last night after posting $300,000 bond. dallas police say guyger returned home after her shift thursday night, but somehow, entered the wrong apartment, thinking it was hers. she then shot 26-year-old botham shem jean, mistaking him for an intruder, according to police. jean was taken to a hospital where he died. it's not clear what, if any, interaction the two may have had. after guyger's arrest, the attorneys for jean's family said

we are only in the first week of the nfl season, and president trump is already renewing his beef with the league. the president took to twitter to blame the nfl's low ratings on players not respecting the flag. although protests weren't as widespread, two dolphins receivers were spotted taking a knee during the anthem. noticing that act of solidarity, colin kaepernick tweeted aplaye efforts. let's get to some highlights now. titans on the road against the dolphins. after storms caused the longest delay in nfl history, jakeem grant stretched his legs for 102 yards all the way to the house to give miami the lead. on the next possession, ryan tannehill up the middle to kenny stills for a 75-yard bomb. that would push their lead to double digits. late in the fourth. miami wins, 27-20. to arizona now, where mrs. cindy mccain was made the honorary captain for the cardinals match up against the redskins. it was too bad, this game was really never much of a contest. washington's running game was

the trump administration is ramping up pressure on the palestinians over setbacks in middle east peace talks. according to the "wall street journal," the administration is planning to close the palestine liberation organization's offices in d.c. national security adviser john bolton is expected to make the announcement today. the move reportedly in response to the palestinians' refusal to come to the negotiation table with israel on peace efforts. the "journal" also details a bolton plan to threaten sanctions against the international criminal court if it continues with an investigation into the u.s. and israel. the anniversary of the september 11th terror attacks
