about .3 of an inch per hour. it's really pouring down there you head down to san rafael, it's soggy heading through marin county, in northern cocoa county, with we see spotty rain there across the delta and we see light rain east of hayward. we will be tracking this for your roads this morning as we see the showers taking a break. we see some light rain moving through the santa cruz mountains approaching the southbay. i will be seeing slicker roadways as crashes. rs san rafael bridge. we showed you the north bay as well. we have the green highlighting. you whether find the dacher, slicker roadways. over here, we have radar activity. our storm ranger out there

we will be seeing clearing showers. all in time for the week. the 7-day forecast, we get ready for storm ranger. that's parked on san bruno mountain, it's giving us a high definition view of the rain as it falls out of the sky. well, a lot of that heavy rain has been over the north bay. we're seeing pockets down to santa rosa, rainfall rates have been over a quarter of an inch of rain per hour. we had marin county, there has been a few breaks here and there. 101 has been wet, north of san rafael. moving over towards villejo right now, some of that wran rain is passing by. down in the peninsula where the rain started up around san mateo to belmont as well as foster city, menlo park. palo alto is dry as of now.

sprinkles making it into the south bay. we're starting to see the system get going, we seen it wobbling off shore. this has bee's notinmuch. the center of the low pressure well offshore. this is going to continue to draw in moisture across the bay area throughout the day. even enough energy to produce thunderstorms over the sierra and central valleys. look at bodega bay, over an inch of rain. ukiah has close to an inch of rain. rohnert park. half an inch of rain. the berkeley hills, .30 03 --03

inches of rain. most of us will take a break an today, even tonight into tomorrow, we'll still have a chance of some of these scattered showers moving through, tomorrow afternoon shows a chance of rain. >> that may be the better chance for the south bay and east bay. rainfall totals look light for most of us, unless are you on the north bay and the peninsula, rainfall totals will be a quarter of an inch or more. another computer model showing also about the same. so as we head towards the end of the week, we dry out. thursday and friday it will be nice as far as temperatures. then a lot more sunshine to go along with that. as the humidity drops, hitting the low '80s. san francisco, a slight chance of showers and a few spotty showers tomorrow. mike, you areing a traffic

break. what's going on? >> a traffic break out of san rafael the shot right here, i want to point out if you look closely, you can see a mild puddling over here, carrie was showing the activity for hey 101. there you go. now, we're looking at this, not far from that camera shot. northbound 101. reports of a crash over there. over in the east bay, we have a couple spinouts. the first is reported at west 24 over fish ranch road. you see the green highlighting shows thatngn through, the hielth is the index. everywhere you see that green highlighting is where you will see the slick conditions, carrie showed an earlier wave, now it's not raining, it's still wet in some patches. keep that in mind. we will see more, that may be enough to kick off spinouts. we seen a couple for 24, another
