a live look at capitol hill. the senate will be getting a look at the fbi report on brett kavanaugh. within the next half hour, senators will likely start to examine that report. >> nbc news correspondent peter alexander is reporting from a source that the fbi contacted ten people, interviewed nine of them. it's not clear why the tenth person was not interview. the white house concluded the interviews two not corroborate sexual misconduct allegationsva. they are to deliver their report at 8:00 easterntime. likely be available for all senate members. as for whether it will be made public, that's not decided yet. mitch mcconnell plans to call for a procedural report on

good morning. i'm frank holland at cnbc's headquarters. wall straut is set to open up in the red. the dow hit a new high but fell. on today's watch list we get data on new filings for unemployment and factory orders. the dow rising 54 points. amazon announced this week its raising its minimum wage to $15 an hour but that's coming at the expense of monthly bonuses and stock options so the company can help pay for those raises. amazon confirmed it's png optio.

one amazon share is worth about $1,051. some workers say their bonus pay can reach as much as 16% dushg the peak holiday season. barnes and noble is reviewing its future after several parties, including its founder, expressed interest in buying the company. barnes & noble has struggled with increasing competition from amazon and cutting staff. >> i hate to see barnes & noble go because a lot of memories. >> barnes & noble did the same thing to the little mom and pop ones. >> full circle. speaking of amazon, first new york city, now berkeley. according to the berkeley sign, signage went up this week for an amazon four-star store. it used to be a crate and barrel

it )s a good day to head to san good thursday morning friday eve. taking a live look at san jose as we get started with this day moving through the work week. 4:47 right now. hey, today could be a good day to head to san francisco and watch the blue angels. they're practicing for the big air show which starts tomorrow as part of fleet week. our sky ranger over the bay area checking out ships already there. the parade of ships tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. followed by the air show, of course. fleet week runs through next monday. always kind of a grand tradition here in the bay area. >> great show. the clouds will

clear. >> it's going to look a lot nye nicer for the weekend. it will be windyof changes in o patterns. here's a live look outside in san francisco right now and it's partly cloudy as you get ready to head out the door. temperatures in the low 60s. 61 degrees in san francisco as well as santa rosa and in fairfield. as you're heading out the door on the way to the fruitvale b.a.r.t. station, it's cloudy, feeling very sticky. some had some rain so that lingering moisture is still in the air. as we go through the day, our temperatures will be much cooler. we'll have a chance of spotty showers for the north bay. we have showers in parts of sonoma and nap ma county.ow 70s

northwest and will be breezy and the humidity dropping by this afternoon. we're upand72 degrees in liverm. in sanhe up to 71 in redwood city. as you're getting dressed this morning, you do need a jacket because it is on the cool side. we're talking about fleet week and all the festivities. it's going to be in the low 60s tomorrow but we should get some sunshine and gusty winds throughout the weekend. as we look at the inland forecast, still once again that slight chance of rain, especially farther to the north and our highs reaching the low 70s. the rest of the forecast we'll be heating up back in the 80s and gusty winds. especially since we've had a little rain, that will reduce our fire danger. mike, you were checking out a crash on highway 17?

car rental app turned into sexual harassment. she called consumer inv this viewer asked us not to use her real name so we'll call her mary. back in july mary booked a rental car using an app called turo, which lets people rent cars from individuals, instead of companies. she picked up the car, used it for a weekend and returned it. mary says the car owner sent her several text messages afterwards that made her uncomfortable.
