that's more than 80%. 45 leagues did respond. of those nearly half admit they do not follow all of the state safety requirements. at least 19,000 kids in the bay area may be at higher risk for brain injuries. >> it doesn't seem like anyone is actually keeping watch. >> yes. on the sideline at a game or during practnly adult there is recognize when one of their athletes gets a concussion. >> what are the dangers if athletes aren't following these policies? >> the danger is that athletes go back to play too soon then you got another blow to the brain and the brain will swell and a patient may die. >> while deaths are rare repeated head injuries can cause
