there? >> it's looking really nice starting out the weekend. we have cool conditions and mostly clear skies. live look outside in san jose and temperature trend for the day in the mid-50s starting out and mid-70s for early afternoon. headed to the fruitvale b.a.r.t. station it will only be at 52 to 53 degrees through the next few hours and at noon we're making it up into the mid-60sw4 so we' looking good today. we'll look at all of our microclimates coming up. there's a news conference going on regarding what's happening up in san rafael. >> two were transported to the hospital. one was pronounced deceased at the scene. their stat success currently unknown. detectives were called and they are actively investigating the case. there were three adults.

two were males, one was a female. deceased. there are no i.d.s of the victims and unknown ages at this time. when deputies arrived, they searched the scene and searched the area with the assistance of chp helicopter. they were unable to locate the suspect. the suspect fled the scene. the immediate area is secure and the area, no one is in danger currently in the immediate area. what i can tell you now is detectives are currently actively investigating the scene, and we are working on i.d.s of all potential victims, and suspects. >> do you have anyone in custody? >> no one is in b0custody. >> reporter: we have video of a man surrendering with officers

with guns drawn. >> that is not this case. so as of now, we don't have anybody in custody. we have three victims, three adults, one is deceased, two their status is unknown at the hospital, and i will be back in about 45 minutes to give an update. i don't have any other information right now. so i will touch base in 45 minutes to see if i have any additional information. if i don't, i will let you know that. >> reporter: do we know, was it a client? >> i don't have any other information right now. i'll be working on that and back in 45 minutes, okay? thank you. heard right there, that was the press conference for that shooting at the detox center, where they have confirmed one person is dead, and two other adults are also in the hospital right now. their condition unknown, but we will continue to follow the story as we continue through55ñe morning right here on "today in the bay."

>> we have reporter pete suratos out there right now. he'll continue to gather additional information for us. we hope to have him in a live report coming up. >> 4:33 right now. highway 4 is back open in contra costa county, after a violent chain of events. chp is saying that the driver crashed into a motorcycle near discovery bay shortly after 5:00 p.m., fled the scene, and crashed head-on into another car 500 feet away. the motorcyclist and everyone inside that second car suffered major injuries. the 33-year-old driver accused of causing both crashes has only minor injuries, but she has been arrested on suspicion of felony dui. the highway was shut down for a short time and both directions, during that investigation. and happening today a palo alto woman accused of sex crimes against a minor is due in court. prosecutors say dawn gianini committed the crimes over a year period, when the victim was 14

years old. the victim is now in high school. authorities were tipped off by a fellow student who noticed that victim in videos posted online. gianini is a stub institute elementary school teacher. she is expected to enter: a ple. this morning an amber alert remabz in effect for a san jose brother and sister allegedly abducted by their mother who doesn't have custody. the mother and two children met at a park with a child social worker supervising. the social work eer took the gi to the restroom and the mother and son were gone. 33-year-old diana moreia drives a gray 2012 mini cooper. the three could be headed to colorado springs. 4:35. the owners of small boats docked off the shore of sausalito on

plus the federal reserve holds a two-day meeting. back to the markets. the dow falling 109 points friday and the nasdaq dropping 77 to 7356. amazon is following target's lead temporarily dropping the minimum order needed to qualify for free shipping, just ahead of the holidays. typically amazon customers have to spend $25 to get free shipping. of course, they can pay $119 a year for prime membership. amazon's offer starts today and applies to millions of items in order to arrive in time for the holidays. target dropped its minimum order requirement last week. geoffrey the giraffe is back. the toys "r" us mascot will be featured in 600 kroger grocery stores this holiday season. you can get a collection of brands, play sets and you and me dolls, even though toys "r" us went out of business this summer. the lenders held on to the company's brand names and

hope they have it really iced. >> they'll be at walnut creek this rweekend. >> wobbling all over the ice, i'll be there. we're approaching the holidays, but when you step outside it's been pretty warm but at least we start out cool. your morning temperatures as you get ready to head out the door monday morning, napa it's 45 degrees, the coolest spot on the map here and 53 in san francisco as well as antioch. we go from the 40s and 50s to at least the low 60s by later on this morning, and keep in mind that the sunrise will be a little bit earlier today, so it will be at about 6:35, as you watch the sun rise this morning. we head up to 79 degrees in morgan hill, and 73 in milpitas,

where our temperatures are just a few degrees lowerrz than yesterday, with danville reaching 80 degrees and 76 in vallejo. headed toward the peninsula, san mateo reaches 70 degrees. san francisco stays mostly in the mid to upper 60s, and then for the north bay, santa rosa we're going up to about 78 degrees today, so as you're getting dressed, light long sleeves will keep you comfortable throughout the day, and also don't forget those sunglasses. we'll have another bright andrh sunny day. election day tomorrow, and as you head out to the polls, especially for the inland irzia, i -- areas a cool start, 48 degrees but it will heat up fast throughout the day with upper 70s. now high pressure keeps it very nice and mild, but it's going to nudge its way just off to the west a little bit. we'll get that continued northerly wind over the next few days, and no rain this week as the mild weather conditions the next seven days.

we are going to continue on with some well above normal temperatures. we should be in the upper 60s and that's where san francisco will be all week long, looking at some slightly cooler air for thursday, but then going back up to about 70 on saturday. so we'll be tracking all of this and some gusty winds, and mike, you're tracking a closure we've gotten used to. >> through oakland, kari, sometimes southbound, most recently for the last i think five work days we've had northbound, and so you see overall a great drive as far as the speed sensors go. 237 there is a crash reported right around looks like matilda, gets on scene. may be a small fender bender off to the shoulder. from the sensors it's all jammed up approaching 23rd and then just past the overpass, we see traffic starting to go toward the yellow. that means speeds are increasing. we hope they finished the last of the traffic breaks. the construction scheduled to clear before 5:00 and that's a look at what may be going on. there's adjustment and movement. at its worst, you are forced off

the freeway and back onto the freeway and that's the only issue for the approach toward the bay bridge. no problems for cocoa county, an easy drive across the benicia and carquinez bridge. traveling out we have the san mateo bridge and the bay bridge with no real problems. over here a live look at palo alto shows you how easy the drive is traveling north past willow, they continue to clear up that or change up the interchange over there and it's moving smoothly right now. no problems into or out of east palo alto or to or from the dumbarton bridge. here is san jose, shows you southbound 101 right there with the tail lights, northbound with the headlights and an easy flow of traffic. it's very dark and remember, we have a time change yesterday, and so that will affect the morning commute a bit, but really that will affect the evening commute. folks will leave work likely at 5:00 on the button. it's dark by the time 5:00 rolls around, so folks just tend to leave the office earlier during that time change. back to you. >> i woke up an$k hour earlier. like i won something, not good.

american legion post. this year they celebrated the 100th anniversary of the ending of world war i. veterans, active duty military and boys and girl scouts walked in that parade. one veteran said it's important to recognize the difference between this holiday and memorial day. >> unlike mel rmorial day which memorializes those who passed serving our tqcountry, veterans day recognizes every veteran who served. >> veterans day next sunday, november 11th. big honor for a bay area national park service ranger. >> 97-year-old betty reed suskind is the oldest career region and one of "glamour" magazine's women of the year. she shares her personal experiences about race and social change, during the world war ii years and beyond. suskind is an oakland native who now lives in richmond.
