that air quality. as you see it, its very apparent. we don't even need to tell you. you can visibly see it and feel it. look at the current temperatures. if you're heading out the door right now, do not forget that jacket because you're going to feel the biting cold, especially if you're heading anywhere near the north bay or interior valleys, below freezing temperatures right now at 29 degrees in santa rosa, 33 in napa, 42 down through hayward and in the 40s for san jose, 30s up along the peninsula. now that ridge of high pressure that was keeping us very dry and warm is starting to weaken and now we've got a bit of a trough coming in which is great news in terms of the air quality as we head in toward tomorrow. we have seen slight improvement along the bay. however, we're still expecting to keep a lot of that smoke over the area and that's why that smoke advisory is expected through tuesday. i'm going to break down those rain chance that's i'm tracking as we head in toward thanksgiving coming up in 15

minutes. >> and that would be a miracle. see you then, thanks. as vianey said, its been another night of bad air. this is a close-up look of what's in that thick, toxic smoke covering the bay area. it almost looks like snow. you can see the ash particles floating around. this was last night in downtown san jose, 200 miles from the camp fire. this is our second weekend in a row blanketed with smoke. people are canceling their outdoor plans and looking for indoor ideas. in san francisco the main library is keeping its lower level open past closing until 9:00 p.m. as long as the air remains dangerous. some people took advantage of that offer to stay indoors last night. >> i've seen a lot of people here that don't have homes to go through so its nice to give nem clean air. >> others are paying for a breath of fresh air, literally, at vitality, an oxygen bar in
7:02 am
pier 39. employees tell us they're seeing more customers amid the bad air. some museums will be offering free admission this weekend for those looking for a safe haven indoors. tourism is taking a hit because of the poor air quality with people canceling reservations and tours canceling on them. the streets of san francisco were relatively quiet last night but still a crowd sitting outside of tony's in north beach. >> lunch crowd was a little thin, but tonight as you see, its full hands on deck. >> and take a look at this video. this is from a southwest flight that landed in san jose last night. flight attendants were handing out face masks to passengers before they deplaned. over at uc berkeley one student handed out face masks to hundreds of fellow students. all classes were canceled because of the poor air quality.
7:03 am
all members of your family including your pets are affected by the unhealthy air. in san jose, several pets got their nightly play time at this dog park, but the chief veteran at the peninsula reminds pet owners that animals are just as susceptible to health issues from the bad air as people are. her biggest warning is not allowing pets to get too warm and not allowing them too much strenuous exercise like running or playing catch. that induced panting which makes the pets breathe in bad air. one san francisco dog owner decided to drive four hours south to escape the smoke. we spoke with her. she talked with us by facetime as her and her two dogs headed to the bay. >> the dogs just wanted to go outside and play so much, so it will be nice for them to do that after a week of being very boring inside. >> she said she's always wanted

to visit mora bay and it was the closest she could find with actual healthy air quality. there are people analyzing the air. there's a war room of sorts for measuring the air we're breathing. the bay area air quality management district is actively tracking the conditions, the so-called air war room is staffed with meteorologists who keep a close eye on satellite images. all of the problems we're facing here, of course, pale in comparison to what's happening in and around the fire zone. today and unlikely trio will be touring the fire zone. president trump will meet with jerry brown and newsom. they both say they welcome the president's visit. the president tweeted last night thanking the governor, look forward to joining you and gavin newsom tomorrow in california. we are with you, but on the ground in butte county the numbers are grim. the death from the camp fire has
7:05 am
jumped to 71 and more than 1,000 people are missing or unaccounted for. "today in the bay" melissa colorado brings us this report. >> reporter: the white house says the president will land around 9:45 this morning and one of his first stops will be here in chico at this command post where the president can meet with firefighters. >> its exciting. it makes you realize how bad all this is. >> reporter: the president's visit is a small distraction to the harsh reality that's in front of her. she's living out of this suv with her best friend and megan's three kids, the youngest is just one. >> i'll show him respect. >> reporter: like most voters they voted for trump but not every camp fire victim is willing to welcome the president with welcome arms, especially after those controversial tweets where he blamed the california
7:06 am
wildfires on mismanagement. >> grow up. its just that simple, grow up. >> reporter: with the exception of hurricane maria, this will be the deadliest natural disaster the president has faced, with at least 71 deaths and more than 1,000 people still unaccounted for. megan mickey's message to the president is this -- >> help as much as you can, please. >> reporter: tomorrow, senator ca mala harris will be here to meet with evacuees as well as firefighters. that's the latest here in chico. the good news is, there has been an outpouring of support for butte county. donations piling up in the parking lot of the chico walmart where evacuees have tent cities built, but now its too much. the county says it can't take any more items, tweeting thanks to the generosity of the community, we have enough donated items for evacuees. the best way to support fire

try to limit your outdoor exposure if you can. if you must go outside where an n95 face mask and we continue with this poor air quality. its postponing sporting events from across the bay area from little league to college games. one game being postponed dates back to more than 120 years. the big game from cal and stanford which was planned for today has been postponed. its now scheduled for december 1st. "today in the bay" cheryl hurd reports from uc berkeley. >> reporter: signs like this are up all over campus telling people that the big game won't be played on saturday, although people are disappointed, they are sympathic to fire victims in butte county. the postponement of the big game is having a domino effect on businesses in downtown berkeley, some restaurants that would be filled this weekend are empty. a lot of hotel cancelations are pouring in. >> i'm here from houston, texas, supporting cal. >> reporter: we caught up with
7:11 am
this couple who flew in from texas a couple of days ago. >> we always happy to be out here and we'll be back on december 1st. >> it just didn't make sense. >> reporter: cal's athletic director making the call on friday to sideline saturday's game because the unhealthy air is not getting any better. >> on occasions like this, you know, people make the best decisions possible. >> reporter: mike lee is on campus attending his annual fra ternlt dinner that is always centered around the big game. >> families have been devastated by the fires in butte county and, you know, a game is a game. >> reporter: now if the air is still unhealthy on december 1st, authorities are working on a plan b. they are hoping that won't be necessary. in berkeley, cheryl hurd, nbc bay area news. it is 7:11. we do have much more ahead on "today in the bay." a live look at the safeway in morgan hill where our holiday food drive is kicking off today. actually, its safeway across the bay area.

my name is mike, i'm in product development at comcast. we're working to make things simple, easy and awesome. welcome back. its 7:14 on your saturday morning. this is probably the most view. our sun trying to make through those smokey skies. we are under a smoke advisory through tuesday at 11:00 p.m. we hope you limit your outdoor exposure. in some better news, today is a big day for the nbc bay area news family and for the bay area. we try to help the community every holiday season and we need your help this year as always. nbc is partnering with safeway
7:15 am
for our annual month long "feed the need" food drive, our own laura garcia and marcus washington are at the store at 840 den avenue in morgan hill to kick things off. thank you for waking up for the sixth morning in the row for an early morning but its all for a great cause. >> reporter: that's okay. we both woke up without an alarm today. >> reporter: early in the morning, ready to go. >> reporter: it was sleeping in a little bit. so well worth it because helping to "feed the need" on this saturday morning. >> reporter: so many families are in deed especially during this holiday season and we want to all do our part to give back. its just simple little donations you can do just to help while you're here shopping ready for your holidays. >> reporter: we're at the morgan hill safeway but there are crews throughout the bay area to find one close to you. i want to bring in the employee from safeway. we got great new things that we're adding to feed even more people. >> absolutely. the process is really easy. you just visit your local bay area safeway, you look for the
7:16 am
tear sheet at the register and make your donation and all $10 hunger bags goto support the need. >> reporter: you can rip off one of these, take it to the counter. they'll have these at the counter but do what you can and you don't have to stick to this either. sometimes we have people come in and say, here's 200 bucks. >> absolutely. we also have barrels in stores if they want to donate loose donations as well. >> reporter: okay. its such a great cause and we appreciate teaming up with safeway. >> thank you for your support. >> reporter: go to nbcbayarea.com where you can find out, you know, find your favorite news personality, so to speak. >> reporter: sure. come on out and join us and donate and help a lot of families. its a great day. its a gate day to come out and do that as well. >> reporter: we really is. we hope to exceed our goals of last year. we're aiming for 400,000. there's a lot of need in the bay
7:17 am
area especially right now. >> reporter: i know we can do it here in this bay area. we're so giving so let's start today. >> reporter: this isn't the only day. this is going to go all the way through the holidays. there's hunger year-round so we want to do our part as much as we can. come on out. we're at the morgan hill safeway, the one on dunn avenue. >> reporter: here until 9:00 so come on out. >> thank you. you going to make your way out? >> oh, yeah. i'm going to be at a different safeway near the station here in san jose. i'll be at the river mart safeway in a few hours at 11:00 a.m. >> reporter: perfect. >> be sure to join any of us today, if you can, to "feed the need." its just kicking off today but it goes all the way through christmas day. we will be at safeway's across the bay area and there will be colleagues from nbc bay area at each location. you can find more information at
7:18 am
nbcbayarea.com. i will be out at river mark safeway and so will vianey arana who happens to be right here next to me with a look at our weekend forecast. unfortunately, we're talking about having to "feed the need" which is greater this year because all the victims of the camp fire and our air quality is just horrible. >> it is. i was out all week long at different safeways doing the evening live shots and the air quality forced some of those food banks to be shut down. a lot of people that typically pick up their food at the food bank have to pick up their food at different locations. you can always find all of this information on our website, nbcbayarea.com. we hope to see you out there, again. we'll be at the river mark location. come say hello. as you're waking up and heading out the door, its going to be chilly. 48 degrees. bundle up. this is a live picture. no, guys, that's not fog. that's all smoke, even though it
7:19 am
did clear up just a tad bit overnight, it still remains unhealthy, which is why we remain under a microclimate alert that the hour. 42 degrees in san jose. you probably noticed we've been waking up to chillier temperatures. you're right. look at these below freezing temperatures in north bay. santa rosa 29 degrees. napa 31 degrees. concord, 36. south bay in those 40s. that ridge of high pressure that's been sitting over the bay area trapping all of that smoke is finally starting to weaken which is great news for that as that trough begins to dominate, our temperatures will drop down and hopefully clear out some of this air quality. the air quality right now so for your saturday keep this in mind remains unhealthy. as you look at the colors. this gives you a good idea of where we stand throughout the bay area. this orangey, yellow hue typically means unhealthy for sensitive groups but the orange/red hue means unhealthy overall. that purple hue means very
7:20 am
unhealthy. near that camp fire remains very unhealthy. and this is the most current look at the nasa satellite view of the california fires of where that smoke currently stands. i want to give you this picture. this is that smoke. you can see it blowing down through the santa rosa area down through san francisco and san jose. so there's still significant smoke lingering and trapped over the bay area and as we enter over the next seven days, i know you're wondering when are we getting some relief. i got a picture of the incoming system we're tracking as we head in to wednesday. we got the system just off the pacific and now it looks like those models are lining up a lot better to get a good amount of significant rainfall just in time for thanksgiving, but really the entire bay area even down through san jose and that rain could linger into wednesday, thursday and friday and possibly even portions of the weekend for the north bay as well into november 25th. now as far as rain totals, this
7:21 am
is always a concern when we're dealing with burn scars because of the potential for flash flooding as the debris flow kicks in. we have to monitor this closely. this is great news in terms of rain but that presents other issues. the estimated rain totals right now upwards of two inches, according to the euro model. we'll keep a very close eye over the next seven days because these are changes that are going to affect the air quality. that ocean breeze will start helping us out. as we head towards wednesday and thursday in toward the inland areas as well, our temperatures will drop, our rain chances will go up, but at least some of that air quality will clear out significantly from where we've been the past several days. kira? >> its just a miracle come true. a thanksgiving miracle. vianey, it looks good. something to look forward to. still ahead, so many people are asking how we can help the victims of the california wildfires? well, coming up, we'll introduce you to one local man who brings in to action every time disaster
7:24 am
th donations for victims of the camp fire are coming from across the bay area and those donations aren't just for people. a morgan hill man is transporting relief surprised for all the lost and stranded animals in the fire zone. garvin thomas has this story in this morning's "bay area proud." >> reporter: michael lancaster is a lifelong lover of animal, but it was only a few years ago that he first felt called to action in the aftermath of a wildfire, and, well, he hasn't stopped helping since. paradise valley in morgan hill is one of those rural pockets in the bay area where pickup trucks can always be put to good use, but the dodge in michael lancaster's driveway has recently been put to better use than most. >> bag of bowls, leashes. >> reporter: it is quickly
7:25 am
filling up with supplies to help the animals and their owners who have been devastated by the camp fire. >> good morning, guys. >> reporter: it will be michael's third trip in just the past week. >> that's what i dropped off this morning. >> reporter: michael has been doing this so many times for so long that when people in his network see flames on their tv, they know michael will be heading their soon. >> i put the word out thursday and i said, i was leaving at 2:00 a.m. friday. my truck was full. >> reporter: his dog and cat food filled missions of mercy began not long after michael, a former firefighter, moved to the bay area. 2015 valley fire erupted and it occurred to michael he was well-equipped to do some good. in the three years since, michael guesses he has made some 30 relief trips all over northern and southern california, knowing wherever there are people in need, there
7:26 am
companions are too. >> the animals, they can't talk, so we speak for them. >> reporter: i first heard about michael earlier this year when he was giving a community award for all his service. well, he is clearly not resting on his laurels. garvin thomas, nbc bay area news. >> what a guy. we have much more ahead on "today in the bay" coming up. you are strongly encouraged to stay indoors and avoid the unhealthy air quality in the bay. what if you have to go outside, we have some tips to keep you safe. it is saturday - - - - -

alto with the glow of the sun trying to make it through those smokey skies. thanks so much for joining us. i'm kira klapper. vianey arana has a look at our microclimate forecast. we have a microclimate weather alert, we have a smoke advisory. so much bad. >> still a lot of things you need to look out for when you're heading outside. i know its the weekend. i want to give you a look at the temperatures. the temperatures are doing okay, in fact, i want to get you out to the safeways throughout the bay area, we are kicking off our "feed the need" food drive and if you're just now joining us. its our annual food drive that we do around the holidays for just $10 you can feeds a family in need and you can actually meet some of the talent including kira and i. we'll be at the river mark location today. the air quality's not so good, but if you have to get some grocery done shopping any way, head to a safeway and join us, right, kira? >> exactly. >> as we head out the door right now, temperatures are in the 20s. it is going to be a rather cool afternoon as we begin to see
7:30 am
that trough approaching, we're going to notice our daytime highs are much cooler and that ridge of high pressure is starting to weaken. now, as far as the air quality goes, because it remains unhealthy, we're still dealing with that smoke advisory that will remain in effect through 11:00 p.m. on tuesday. however, i am tracking some big changes ahead in the form of rain. you're going to want to stick around for that in 15 minutes. >> hallelujah. that will be wonderful. of course, it was another night of bad air. this is a close-up of what's in that thick, toxic smoke covering the bay area. you can see the particles floating around. this was last night in downtown san jose 200 miles from the camp fire burning in butte county. this is our second weekend in a row blanketed with smoke. people are canceling their outdoor plans and they're looking for indoor means to escape the air. a popular option people are telling us is they're going to the movies. so expect big crowds this weekend. if you're in san francisco, the main library on larkin street is
7:31 am
keeping its lower level open past closing until 9:00 p.m. as long as this air remains dangerous. some people took advantage of that offer to stay indoors last night. >> i was seeing a lot of people here don't have homes to go to, so its really nice for them to give them clean air. >> others are paying for a breath of fresh air at vitality. that's an oxygen bar at pier 39. employees say they're seeing more customers coming in with this bad air. some museums in san francisco like the asian art museum, for example, will be offering free admission this weekend for those looking for a safe haven indoors. and tourism is taking a hit because of the poor air quality. people are canceling reservations as hotels and tours and tours are canceling on them. alcatraz, for one, is canceling tours. the streets of san francisco were relatively quiet last night. there was still a crowd sitting outside of tony's in north beach. >> the lunch crowd was a little
7:32 am
thin, but tonight as you see, its full hands on deck. now take a look at this video. its from a southwest flight that landed last night in san jose. flight attendants handing out face masks to passengers about they deplaned. across the bay at uc berkeley, one student handed out face masks to hundreds of fellow students. people lined up waiting for those free face masks. all classes at cal were canceled yesterday because of the unhealthy air quality. did you know that all members of your family including your pets are affected by the continued exposure to the unhealthy air. at roy m. butcher dog park, several pets got their nightly play time last night but a chief veteran we spoke with reminds us that pet owners, that animals are just as susceptible to health issues from the bad air as people are. don't allow them to get too warm or too much strenuous exercise like running or playing catch.
7:33 am
that induced panting which makes your animals breathe in more of this bad air. one stran dog owner decided to drive four hours south to escape the bad smoke. she spoke to us by facetime as her and her two dogs helped toward mora bay. >> they have been just wanting to go outside and play so much. so it'll be nice for them to do that after a week of being very boring inside. >> she says she's always wanted to go to mora bay so its the perfect opportunity and it was the closest place she could find on a map south of the bay area with healthy air quality. now to a smartphone app with local ties that's getting a lot of attention nowadays. the app is called shoot, i smoke. it converts the air quality in the location to the number of cigarettes you would be inhaling. it says breathing the air in chico yesterday is like smoking more than 24 cigarettes.
7:34 am
as uc berkeley, a study which came up with the formula forms the basis of the app. the developer say its information people need and information people shouldn't have to pay for. >> no, its forever free. everybody can see versions of this. >> the developer say its also a good travel tool allowing you to measure the air quality anywhere in the world where there's an air quality station which monitors the air quality where you may be traveling. and as it turns out, there's a war room of sorts for measuring the air quality and the air we're breathing right now. the bay area is actively tracking the conditions. the so-called air war room is staffed with meteorologists who keep a close eye on satellite images. and, of course, all of the problems we're facing here pale in comparison to what's happening in and around the fire zone. today a trio will be turning the
7:35 am
burn zone in butte county. president trump will fly to california in two hours from now and he'll meet with his longtime critics, jerry brown and newsom. both of them say they welcome the president's visit. the president tweeted last night thanking governor brown, quote, looking forward to joining you and gavin newsom tomorrow in california, we are with you. but on the ground the numbers are grim. the death toll has jumped to 71 and more than 1,000 people are missing or unaccounted for. "today in the bay" melissa colorado brings us this overnight report from chico. >> reporter: the white house says the president will land around 9:45 this morning and its possible one of his first stops will be here in chico at this command post where the president can meet with firefighters. >> its exciting. it makes you realize how bad all this is. >> reporter: for megan mickey of

paradise, the president's visit is a small distraction to the harsh reality that's in front of her. she's living out of this suv with her best friend and megan's three kids, the youngest is just one. >> he's our president, i'll show him respect. >> reporter: like most voters in butte county, megan voted for then candidate trump but not every camp fire victim is willing to welcome the president with open arms especially after those controversial tweets where he blamed the california wildfires on forestry mismanagement. >> grow up. just that's simple, grow up. >> reporter: with the exception of hurricane maria, this will be the deadliest natural disaster the president has faced with at least 71 deaths and more than 1,000 people still unaccounted for. megan mickey's message to the president is this -- >> i would say help as much as you can, please. >> reporter: and then tomorrow, senator kamala harris will be here in butte county to meet with evacuees as well as
7:37 am
firefighters. that's the latest here in chico. i'm melissa colorado, nbc bay area news. and like we said, we are just hours away from the president's visit to california. it comes just one week after his controversial tweet that angered many state leaders. the president blamed the devastating wildfires on california's forestry management or mismanagement, in his words. our own janelle wayans spoke to chuck todd about the president's visit. >> nice to have you, the president coming to so-called enemy territory or volatile territory, coming to california to tour the wildlife devastation. wildfire devastation. surprised at all about the visit? >>, you know, the fact is we shouldn't be surprised. this is -- and this is what i think is so frustrating with how the president has conducted himself when it comes to handling natural disasters. he does look at every event and every location through the prison of the red/blue map.
7:38 am
so take what happened when the hurricanes hit last year in florida and texas and he talked about how great the recoveries were in those republican governors and then he just -- just beats up puerto rico because its officials weren't trump supporters. california, he's not the first time he's gone down this road in sort of this weird lack of empathy. he sees the problem as a red/blue problem, not as a red, white and blue problem. you want him to come. i don't care what your view of the president is. you should want him to come so you can see and you hope that when he sees the devastation first hand, he'll never tweet what he tweeted again like he tweeted last week. >> that was janelle wayans for us. you can watch chuck todd on meet the press tomorrow morning right after this newscast. there has been an outpouring of support. donations piling up in the chico walmart. now they're saying its too much. the county says it can't take in

spurs tomorrow. we have much more ahead on "today in the bay." it is time to "feed the need," our annual holiday food drive kicks off today. we'll take you live to a safeway in morgan hill where our own laura garcia and marcus washington will show us how easy it is to help hungry families this holiday season. and boy is it cold as you head out through the door especially in the interior valleys, we're talking 30s and 20s up through the north bay. i'll talk about how cool we're expected to be today and how that air quality is shaping up in the bay area coming up. it's time for sleep number's veterans day sale
7:43 am
7:44 am
good morning. it is 7:44. thank you for joining us on this sunday. we have a lot to get to. we are under a microclimate weather alert because that air quality remains extremely unhealthy for folks out there and the current temperatures waking up to the 40s in san francisco right now. 48 degrees. this is a live picture of what the city currently looks like. you can see just how smokey it is. not much clearing in through the san jose either. 42 degrees right now.
7:45 am
we're seeing those orange hues as that sunrise comes out. let's talk about how the air quality is doing as of the latest. so this currently updates actually much better conditions for san francisco, but still unhealthy especially for sensitive groups along the bay. you can see san francisco now at a yellow. meanwhile we've still got reds on the map down through redwood city, fremont. very unhealthy and that is -- >> we're having some mike problems there. still ahead on "today in the bay," we want to take you out to a live look at safeway on dunn avenue in morgan hill. we'll check in with laura garcia and marcus washington. our "feed the need" holiday food drive kicks off today and its so simple to help when you're already shopping at safeways across the bay area. we'll tell you about it next.
7:48 am
and we are back again. so sorry for that. we had technical difficulties but let's get right to that air quality. i really want to take you to the latest map that showcases where we stand in terms of our air. so as of right now, we are seeing some slight improvement through the bay and san francisco. you can see now it is yellow, which means its still unhealthy for sensitive groups. you still have to be mindful in limiting your outdoor exposure. still seeing some reds on the map. that means unhealthy down through redwood city, fremont and san jose. we still got purples on the map and purple reflects very
7:49 am
unhealthy air. this is expected to remain an issue for the next couple of days and as we inch closer toward sunday and into monday, we're tracking a couple of changes ahead. i do want to talk about that, because this is going to give us some slight relief from what we're seeing. we got an incoming system as early as wednesday just off to the pacific and this is going to bring us a very good chance of seeing some rain just in time for thanksgiving. if you look at the timeline right now. this is according to our euro model, from thursday into friday and potentially saturday and sunday, we've got a good amount of rain expected to come down. how much rain? well, let's go through some of these rain totals. as of right now the euro model is showing the highest rain totals for the north bay, upwards of 2.5 inches threw ukiah, down through san francisco, just over an 1.5 and just over an inch in san jose. whenever we see rain there are burn scars. whenever we have rain coming down, one threat from this is the burn scars has the potential for flash flooding and that brings the debris flow.
7:50 am

with our friends fr welcome back. it is time for our clear the shelter segment featuring our friends from pets in need. they're here with little izzy, she is the cutest little thing. she's seven months old and what's interesting about her is she's one of your shy dogs. you've been working with her to kind of bring her out. >> yes. >> right? >> one of the things that we've actually done is we actually tried to cohouse dogs at the shelter. they can see it there. she has a roommate that's more confident and she's definitely come out of her shell. this morning i went in there and was grabbing them and they were playing around and having the benefit of a co-house dog does help and she's been going to play groups and all that kind of
7:57 am
stuff. >> to me she seems like the perfect dog, she's quiet, calm, she's a little snugly lap dog, but i guess the issue with having a dog that's too shy is that they can be afraid and act out as a result. >> and it makes it a little more difficult for them to be adopted. if we had a physical problem with an animal, we would address that immediately. we do the same thing through our second chance fund with animals like izzy that have small behavior problems that we have to address. >> and we talked about your second chance i think last weekend, we did, with zen. he had to have a leg amputation, all sorts of things and you were able to take care of those surgeries because of the kind donations of your second chance fund and you've been able to pay for izzy's confidence training with that second chance fund as well. >> um-hum. >> that's ana marie's department, animal care, so she's responsible for dealing with issues like izzy, shyness
7:58 am
or maybe a dog's a little too aggressive. its her responsibility and her staff to deal with those issues with their animals. >> i love that fund. and giving tuesday is coming up, the tuesday after thanksgiving. if you're looking for ways to give back, maybe they'll consider that second chance fund to donate on giving tuesday. quickly, for anyone looking to adopt izzy, is she available? >> yes. she has her two other roommates who are also available for adoption, so you can come down today. adoptions are from 10:00 to 5:00 on weekends. >> great. thanks so much for coming in and thanks so much to you for making us apart of your morning. we will have more local news for you tonight and be sure to join us, if you can, for the "feed the need" food drive at safeway locations across the bay area
