firefighters, local leaders, emergency management officials. also stopped to talk to evacuees, pledging to get federal support for those impacted by the fire. as the deadly fire raced through paradise november 8th, nurses at feather river hospital had to evacuate patients. ambulance racing from the flames caught fire, made a life-saving decision, stopped at house still standing, used to shelter the patients. took instruction from firefighters with shovels and rakes to keep the flames away as long as possible. >> if you're going to die, die as nurse, do your best. if you have a chance to live, this is your chance. >> all the patients now safely evacuated. pope francis spent part of his sunday praying for those
